  3. Late start this morning only local so after waking young jack up and having a bit of breakfast we headed off..( had to be back for family lunch ?) we had Gwen my 5 year old lurcher a young hob that’s had a decent first season and a young Jill that Flacko had kindly given us after we’d lost our Jill .. I’d had this Jill out last weekend and she did well bolting some stubborn rabbits.. collared the Jill up and in no time we’d got a couple in the nets..so far so good she’s soon took to her job and we couldn’t be happier with her .. next spot was tricky to net but we did our best and aga

  4. Yes. It's social engineering that's all. Why do you think they're are more homosexuals, lesbian's, transgenders etc etc today than ever before? Because it's promoted generally everywhere, like advertising a product. People in mass are extremely easy to influence. Especially if your a Tv addict.

  8. After not getting out for a good few weeks we went this morning with the forecast saying light rain, once we got sorted out we set off, due to the rain and wind very little was above ground so I had to once again relay on my canine partner to find the action, it wasn’t long before she was hypnotised by the scent of a bunny or two below ground, that was all I needed to get the nets set and two of my albino kits sent into battle, number one was a hole hopper, so I sent another ferret right in behind him quickly, it bolted like a train, number two was pulled out of a hole, lurcher on one end ferr

  9. This morning I had to go check some mole traps my daughter and I set, so I thought I’d have a hr sat near the squirrel feeder whilst I was on the farm ,The weather wasn’t as bad as forecast (good job I ignored last nights weather girl) anyway it was good to be out, a flock of siskins in the alders above my hide kept me entertained when there was a lull in activity... I saw 10 squirrels and accounted for 3 of them..

  12. most people who work ordinary lurchers have the wrong temp for saluki type dogs, the ability to be trained and intelligence are not the same, ive used em on the lamp worked em with bushing dogs and ferrets and they pick up all these natural given chance. I also work cocker spaniels , and one of if not the best cocker man in the country said the best dogs are always on the verge of going wrong, I have an old cocker dog here that I badly trained, and yet is so naturaly talented he makes me look good week in week out. let your sals use there natural ability you may like it.

  15. Why bother asking advice if you’ve already made your mind up to buy it, there’s loads of cracking deals on the 2nd hand market, that are loads better than your chosen gun, that will well out last your chosen Gun, and are much lighter & pointable, the Gun of your choice is very unbalanced, heavy & problem matic, but crack on & believe me you will regret your purchase

  22. These posts are spaced out a bit because I have to find an evening when I am not doing anything important the next day. I feel like i have been up all night...yawn.. As it was, I was out between 11.30pm and 2am and it felt really cold. I had put up a wind break and was sat on a dry pallet but it wasn't exactly comfy. There have been a few more holes round the 'safe house' in the duck run. The safe house is a square shed, with a run attached to the back. So far rats can't get in to the run as it has a wire mesh base, I put the soil back on top of it. But you can see where they h

  31. One of my customers has a farm about 10 minutes from home and he knows I shoot. He's a shotgun man and is of the old school that looks at air rifles a bit like toys but he knows of another perm I shoot on and that fella has told him all about them so he asked if I would have a wander round to see what was about as he knows of quite a fair size Warren in a banking on one of his boundarys that is looking messy now. The wind was blowing hard again so I wasn't holding out much hope as i don't know the perm but took the r10 with a belly full of bis mags just in case. I got there at around

  34. Salukis its a business partnership plain and simple he or she instinctively know more about hunting and running than you ever will and the saluki often thinks what you actually contribute to the partnership that is where the psychology comes in you kid them that you contribute more than you actually do.If they come to the stage of figuring out in reality you are a minor business partner thats when cloth ears ,disobedience and major problems can manifest them selves.
