  1. I sometimes bait a tidal brook near my house for foxes. As the crow flies it is about three hundred yards from my front door. The place i choose to shoot from is with my back against a thorn hedge and behind that is a six foot high chain link fence which surrounds a treatment plant. Where i sit is looking straight at the brook which runs left to right and is one hundred yards away. Beyond the brook the field rises gently for another one hundred yards till it meets a wire fence and a line of trees along the fence. It is possible to see into the field behind the trees as the ground continues to

  6. Chicago today is like NY 30 years ago. In the early nineties the NY homicide rate was about 2500 a year. NYPD stop and frisk brought the homicide rate down to below 600 a year. These cops were accused of racial profiling . Reality is the saved thousand of lives.

  11. I used to teach my daughter to shoot with subs up the skeet club and they are easy on the shoulder, but not much quieter and you have to increase your lead by a good margin too . My advice, don’t bother with the subs unless noise disturbance is a real factor.

  13. A great read Ian . You come across foxes like that now and then . Some people like football or fishing or drinking. But for me there is no greater pass time than the pursuit of a truly worthy opponent . I am about to enter my busy foxing time when my birds go to wood . I could honestly do without a clever one now .

  14. I preferred blackmouth above the others.None of the type we had were registered. Most growl alot and walk around bristled up.They have just enough bulldog in them to get them in trouble.I have seen a few that were catchdogs they never bayed a day in their life. Catahoulas can be just as good but are more eccentric. Some are gun shy man shy or man eaters. Most blackmouth or catahoula curs do not have as good of a nose as hound but tons of grit. They will run a hog by sight or nose whichever they need. The last BMC I had would listen for hogs standing on his hind legs, running through briars

  18. Ventilation is also vital. I work on a lot of bizarre building projects, everything from shepherds huts to timber frame barns to Nissen huts to silo conversions. Steel buildings aren't bad to do but you want high and low level ventilation and at least a 100mm air gap between that and the framing. Use breather membrane on the outside of the frame and insulate inside it. We are doing the lower half of a grain silo at the moment, converting it into a toilet block for a conference room, it can be 35 degrees in the loft where there's no insulation but lovely and cool inside the conversion

  28. On checking the forecast I was relieved to see that there was a window between the thunderstorms of a few hours so decided to go and have a look for some rabbits. I had to dodge the showers a bit but not too bad. I initially headed to a bit of ground I haven't shot for over a year , got chased off 1 field by some frisky cows ( bovine variety ). Quite a few rabbits about so looking good but did get a couple with signs of myxy so hope it doesnt take hold. View from top of the hill....

Hondas one of the few Japanese firms not fitting Peugeot engines and European car parts, so they are still pretty good, only downside is the japs don’t salt there roads so don’t go overboard on underselling, check it underneath for rust and if it’s clean get it waxoiled should last you many years ??

  31. Always take a mechanic mate when buying a 2nd hand car. Haven't owned a car for about 9 years now (don't need one here but if I do, I just borrow my mate's car) In Blighty, I used to just buy a 50 note runaround for me and a decent one for the family. Had a Nissan micra, I paid 50 quid for and it ran for 3 years.... right up until it got crushed for no insurance ? (ex cancelled the policy when we broke up and didn't tell me). @W. Katchum I'd just left your G's so when I got pulled... the car was full of ferreting gear, ferrets and a bloody great big machete, should've seen the coppe

  33. Prone .? You guys have some very patient Charlies. They must be curious as to what you are doing setting all that stuff up. Nahh. Prone = Too low, can't see through the grass or any distance and laying in a load of sloppy sheep shit or soaking wet ground. I know a bloke who fixed a couple of hooks on the back of his jacket and hangs a rubber car floor mat . He sits on this and used a long Harris. it's quite effective but The downside is that somtimes the sheep shit slides off the rubber mat into his wellies when he stands up. He now unhooks the mat when he gets up and wipes it off befor

It totally silences all the blm shite when occurrences like this happen as the truth of the fact is that the biggest threat facing young black men is in reality other young black men . The facts are undeniable yet never spoken. But surely The only real question is what the f**k was he doing here in the first place ???
