  1. Walking the moors is my favourite part of dog work just letting the dog work the heather no the easiest place to run with the height of the heather and gullies can be a dangerous place but the peace and quiet and the noise of the grouse does for me sometimes you will see the golden eagles breath taking

  4. Hi Lads, Hope everyone's been well. Had abit of a problem with the account and couldn't get back in until now. In the mean time I've brought on a young dog.. He's 13 monhs now and showing great promise. He's seen a nice bit as of now. He's first cross bull whippet, I just couldn't refuse another and I have to say I'm quite happy with him.

  6. At the end of the day this site is filled with drivel and arguments most of the time and pretty much no talk of actual hunting whatsoever! Whenever folk put videos or reports up, people rip into them, but really even if it’s just a dog walk, it’s more interesting than nothing. I remember there was a lad on here posting a little write up and some photos of his mooches but cos he wasn’t catching lots the experts ripped into him and he stopped posting them. When I first started on here, a long time ago, the crew on there then would be sticking write ups and stuff all of the time, you c

Went out ferreting a few days ago with hodge, his uncle and nephew (the 2 stephs) only did 2 decent size warrens, he tried his young ferrets that i bred this year and they did ok, nightmare of a place with big bramble patches and fallen trees, used the longnets aswell and got a few good size healthy rabbits, plenty more to go at here,

  18. Hey all, Well after a year to forget I finally got a new recruit! With my razor bred bitch working days behind her (9 years old) and my salxgrey dog aged 7 and losing that slight edge in the field I really wanted this year to be the one I brought in the next generation. first attempt thanks to a tip off from Snoop and Goshawking I got my hands on a litter brother to goshawkings pup bic, direct out of razor. well I had for less than a week as something happened and he ended up with a brain problem and I had him PTS at 10 weeks old, a very sad day RIP marshy. 20. From what I've seen of this, Arry, he's fulfilled his legal obligation in both countries. I'm not too familiar with Chinese tax codes but I'd imagine whatever he's paid there is the price of doing his business. The same as in the US. I'm sure Chinese communism heavily penalizes foreign and domestic investors but that's the price of making money in a lucrative market. The amount he paid in the US just shows how hiring a tax expert can significantly lower your tax burden. The fact he paid less than your average American shows how it's set up. I honestly don't begrudge anyone that is able to

  21. Said it a few times now, I wouldn’t encourage them by paying the 25 bar. Be interested to see how many they sell. With the boozers being shut, and people not mixing indoors, I bet they could have made a killing at a tenner a pop. Greed of both the broadcasters, and a lot of the boxers, in danger of bursting the boxing bubble.

I remember reading Roy’s story at the time and he was sofa surfing I think one of his friends set up a justgiving page for him so he could get his own place I sent him a score and a little message, I hope the blokes doing ok the way he put himself in harms way was as worthy as the bloke who attacked the other terrorist with the whale tusk to send him on a counter extremism course is a joke. I was impressed with the way he gave a Millwall war cry as he steamed into the terrorist scum lol ?

  24. Night mare last night .New place for us .Spot a fox ,give it a squeak from 300 yds and it’s running in nicely .Rifle on sticks already . The field was wet as hell and I felt the sticks sinking so pulled them out the mud only for them to come apart at the bottom joint .The mare starts here .Hurriedly put them back together in stealth mode ,fox still coming in .On them again and again they sink ?.I’m learnt over like the hunchback of Nortre Dam . The rear eye piece is now fogged on the pard so quick wipe and I get mud all over the lens from putting stick back together ? Another hu

  28. We got a three day trip planned on the 21st so I'm looking forward to that. We will be lamping, ferreting, mooching and cooking some of the catch. Ella said shes not fussed about big bags but I think it be harder not to do a big bag. It will be ideal for her pup and I'm looking forward to getting Bud some more runs. I think we might even try a couple drops at night with the longnet and possibly some air rifle shooting.

  35. Reading this thread reminds me, I don't think I've ever put a 'hunting' post up. Partly because I can't be bothered with doing a big write up of one of my nights or mornings out. And partly because I've never recounted to anyone really, apart from my son, about a particular morning or night out. And 90% of what I used to do wasn't rabbits. Not exactly what being an 'active' forum member is about I suppose lol. But I enjoy all the various 'other' sections of this site, wildlife photography, cooking, general talk, etc etc. And as has recently been mentioned, I'd rather read a post abou

  36. I found this to be an interesting and informative book mostly dealing with the development of the KC Whippet as a racing, coursing and show dog in the 20th century. Loads of nice photographs as well including some of important dogs and bitches. One really bad bit of advice in the book though as one of the authors states that if you become serious about ferreting then you will leave your dog behind. Very wrong, a whippet is the greatest asset that a ferreter can have and there are few better sights than watching a whippet work with ferrets. A decent book all the same.

  38. Aye I guess we all get that mate, but it’s life isn’t it! It’s better to be out than sat in, and sometimes stuff just doesn’t work out, as long as men and dogs (and ferrets) get home in one piece, not much is lost other than a bit of time and sometimes a bit of pride! I’ve had a run of successful lamping trips lately, which would have made pretty crap watching to be fair, and was out night before last and blanked, missing a handful of sitters, but it was far more exciting to watch in reality. I’ve also walked around for hours and seen absolutely nothing, more times than I can count over the ye

  45. A teenage boy was delivering papers to an apartment house. While there, a stunning young woman came out of the apartment next to the mailboxes wearing only a robe. The boy smiled at the young woman and she started up a conversation with him. As they talked, her robe slipped open, and it was obvious that she had nothing else on. The poor kid broke into a sweat trying to maintain eye contact. After a few minutes of flirting, she placed her hand on his arm and said, "Let's go to my apartment, I hear someone coming." He followed her into her apartment; she closed the door and leaned against it
