Possum and Coon, I couldn't find a north American badger. The coons are in silly numbers in certain areas, the possum your grannies yorkie could sort out lol. The coons are a good substitute for the fox IMO, you get some with more grit than others but with the amount we caught the dogs took plenty of trade. The badgers are nomadic, they'll clean dozens of earth's out and flit between them all, they're constantly on the move. I ran the coyotes and dug a few coon, the bulk of the coon came from barns, plenty of fun but it's not the same a's moving soil.6 points

Went to the perm last night just after dark for a walk round not been for a few weeks, got there and realised i hadn't put the nv rangefinder back in the bag after a gunbag clean out, so i thought id give it a try ,so after checking my zero on a step by step marked post at 35yds it was good but 3 or 4 misses later this distance estimation in the dark is bloody hard..Well it was for me but this one was not so lucky guessed range was 40 yds didn't want to chance getting closer as id already scared if off once and had to follow so took it off the promo sticks at a guessed 40yds and down it went5 points

Disgusting comments. Often from people who have done fck to defend any fieldsports. I come across poor attitude from shooters and lurcher men regularly but I wouldn't attack the whole group of people who enjoy that particular sport. Pathetic. And the well organised, bigoted hatred and violence that is currently being waged against hunting with hounds by animal rights activists will one day come for you.5 points

Hello, a few weeks ago, William Moore & Grey contacted me asking, if I would be interested in making some knives for them. William Moore & Grey London offers finest bespoke guns since 1808, no more than 12 guns per year are leaving the workshop. Here the prototypes, 95mm blades, silver soldered guards from bronze, turkish walnut burl with handrubbed gunstock finish. Kind regards Nicolas3 points

Nice work. Been very still in my neck of the woods, with little or no wind . I’ve been leaving the foxes alone because I like to work my terriers but my bosses sister has been losing the odd chicken . So I’ve been trying to shoot it . Seen it in the day time twice, and once in my thermal . I will have one more look at night and then I think I’m going to have to set some wires . The lure of the fireside and crap TV is too strong at this time of year .3 points

Day off today lads . So i had from 1-30pm untill 3-30 pm waiting for a wood pigeon or two and decided on taking the 97K .177. A freezing fog was coming in and putting the pigeons off their usual roosting spots. Well i got one presentation after a few hours and managed to take it. Threading the shot, at range was very testing. atb Mark3 points

I know two lads who were selling the big issue whose mam had two businesses absolutely no living under bridges with them two as for the realistic thing of homelessness. I lve month to month, we had a second child 2 years ago. Like many with young families, we cannot afford the childcare for her to go back to work full time. We just financially cannot afford her to hold any type of well paid job. It’s not worth it. Were probably 10k a year worse off now with her not having working. Car childcare bills it all comes on top very quickly,3 points

It’s just one form of hunting and the folks that do it I don’t like, the hunting act and the restrictions I now face with my dogs is down to the mounted packs I believe, right through the televised interviews on the run up to the hunting act being implemented they pointed the finger at all other forms of hunting just to save there own necks, constantly saying shooting was cruel and hunting wasn’t.i am on the side of the lurcher, terrier, ferreting, fishing, shooting, brigade not mounted packs .2 points

i always walked up to any squatter , so the young dog knew that spot light held a rabbit, its a tricky one at first because , you letting the dog run moving rabbits in beam, so they get full idea what lamping all about. then once you donr that, you asking the dog to do somthing different lol , but generally once they trust you with lamp, they run down the beam and pick up a squatter , both my 1xs are brill at taking them, see some right arse over tit with my big dog take them , he still came up with rabbit in mouth though lol2 points

Len, i have heard some ignorant, ill thought out opinions in my time, but that one is right up there ! Over several years experience, I worked with probably hundreds of homeless people - not one of them chose that life. I could tell you heartbreaking tales, believe me. Nobody sets out to f*** their life up - bad things happen to good people, people make bad decisions and lives can quickly spiral out of control. I know a mentally ill young man who recently had his benefit sanctioned for 4 weeks.........for being 10 minutes late for a Job Centre appointment ! How is he supposed to feed2 points

Live by the gun die by the gun,a lot of these kids seriously believe they are gangsta types after being brainwashed by rap and the portrayed gangsta lifestyle (living in flash mansions, shagging scantily clad hoes, and wearing enough bling to start a mail-order jewellery business),so they try to emulate life in Compton or some similar LA "Ghetto" and fail spectacularly like the kid on the news tonight, the fourth murder in London since the start of 2019.2 points

The Toby dog I started out with was from a brother sister mating, Choker and Mo, he was undershot, it was in there from the beginning. He opened my eyes to what sort of a standard can be achieved, I didn't care then about his mouth and I don't care now. I don't like to see it, but it's not the end of the world, given a choice of pups I'll always take the one that's not undershot all things being equal. I've had pups with the correct scissor bite go wrong as they drop their first teeth and visa versa. I've had them born correct, go wrong and then strangely come right within a f2 points
