I've been looking forward to this day off work for yonks. I wanted to use my double 12g muzzleloader and was intent on getting a pheasant and hopefully a woodcock. I like to feed my dogs well and to condition them etc. But in all honesty how many folk over complicate it and act as if their dog is getting 100 runs a night. Mine just get a good kibble with additional meat that I have about, usually lamb, mutton or venison. Im sure I’ll upset some hero or other ?

Don’t know what age you are but pubs used to be the heart of every community and you don’t have to be an alcoholic to use them, most of my dog walks end with a nice quiet pint in a country pub, there are also a lot of people who,s life depend on the pub trade as a means of putting food in there mouth,, so in answer to your OP I recon everyone who likes mixing with there friends and neighbours in a relaxed atmosphere, and not those who darent go out in public because they have been telling tales to the boss when there neighbour never put enough filling in the pie ???

Took my dog for a long leisurely walk this morning, sticking to the roads and giving all the mud a miss. Well I came across a farmer, Ken, who last year granted me permission to shoot part of his land. We again talked country matters, as you do but when he realised I have been taking care of the surrounding farms for years and mostly very quietly with air rifles he said " Well Mark you might as well look after our lands as well " He only gave me permission to shoot a further 1,400 acres !!
