My wife took my daughter to a party on Saturday so I took my boy, Will, to cut some wood at a local farm. Pulling into a sidling I noticed a doe up on a bank browsing the brambles in the sunshine only 200m away. I didn’t have the rifle with me but keep a spare pair of bins in my truck and my lad was in raptures about seeing it and asked if we were going to stalk it. He’s only 6 - a year younger than I was when I first went out with my dad and while it may have been a little early the conditions were perfect. Besides, he’s seen plenty of deer in the various stages of lardering and process12 points

The problem being that most decent lads who try to do the right thing i.e gifting pups to people they don't know personally on the word of someone else, have had their fingers burnt. The fact of the matter is in the terrier world there is too many that think nothing of their dogs, chop and change with the fashion etc etc. So why should die hard digging lads that devote their life to their terriers just hand them out to idiots? I've met hundreds of lads with terriers over the years, how many would I say are good terrier men? Literally a handful.8 points

Bang on mate... They should all hang their heads in shame... If ever a time of solidarity was needed across all parties this was it, whether you agree with need it or not the vote was to leave...the deal shouldve been put together with agreement of all parties first then the EU....May is on a hiding to nothing because all parties have used this as a point scoring exercise to enhance either individual careers or party politics... The common person has been used as a pawn in all of this, whether you are remain or leave, once the referendum came out leave, our country and its peopl8 points

maxhardcore 8,482 Posted April 21, 2013 He got put down and rocked on a few occassions off a Cruiser weight. If Fury hadnt resorted to dirty tactics imo he was beat. Even his stoppage was dodgey, he Tea'd the guy up using his left Forearm. Poor imo considering his opponent and Klitchko would destroy him. Price would beat him. Haye wo7 points

The gun shop and the butchers Especially the butchers ............ Although, yesterday I was pretty good. Normally, I go in for one thing and end up with a bit of that, half a dozen of those, some of them, half of that, a couple of those, a tray of them Yesterday was some topside and a chicken breast for Sunday, a couple of bits of belly pork (because it looked so nice), some smoked bacon with the rind left on (haven't had that for ages), a bit of pork skin (he still gives it away or bins it) and, because I've seen it mentioned on here but I've never had i7 points

Fashion often dictates the flavor of lurcher hybrid, I've seen them all, come and go over the years... A personal favorite of mine was the Deerhound/Greyhound/Sheepdog combo,... I bred a fair few and enjoyed hunting with them immensely.7 points

For a once in my life I don't support any of them from all sides of the house. There all self serving c**ts and ALL are using this nation and the current turmoil to consolidate power. Haven't even got the loyalty to this nation to say "look let's ALL come together for the sake of the British nation". No matter what she did they were always going to say the opposite. I don't particularly blame may tbh it was always going to end up this way. She should have walked away month's ago and told the opportunist snakes in the Tory party get a deal. But there not fooling me7 points

? Nothing to do with being a hater,...everyone is entitled to an opinion,..in fact, it is welcomed by all genuine enthusiasts. I think the original poster was simply asking a question,...whereas, sensible debate and discussion, are essential elements in the creation of an improved type of hunting dog... What was available, back in the day, definitely played an integral part in the style of canine that many of us had to run,..nowadays, the choice of breed type is far wider...?6 points

Let's have another referendum then, clearly actually leaving the EU and regaining sovereignty is impossible, so the best option is to stay in. Is that really where we're at? The possibility of a 'hard' brexit is entirely down to how well the government sell it. This one hasn't even tried so of course it wont pass parliament, all along they've carried on like a deal is even possible. The 'deal' we have now is the worst parts of everything, we're still bound by the EU but without a voice in it.5 points

A little walk out around longshanx’s perm, still a good few hoppers about, it started to get a bit foggy when we got there, the first one was about 60/70 yards away so I chucked one of the 42 grain Winnie’s at it, there was the tell tail thud and then for some reason it ran towards us and dropped 10 yards in front of us, so a bit of a bonus not having to go tramping across the field to pick it up, now the fog was dropping in thick so in the motor and off down the road to another field to see if we could manage to get longshanx a shot off, by this time the fog was getting thick and we were star4 points

Just keep trying Mr r3d as most folk on here contary to what they like folk to think once started with feck all and it was only luck that put them with meeting terrier men that helped start them off anyway. It ain't the shy child that gets the sweets and if you don't ask then go without,Iv'e been lucky enough to have been gifted terriers from folk that iv'e pretty much met through being on here and got chatting to,met at a few shows and just generaly built up a friendship and trust with them and that led to being offered either pups or working terriers. It isn't a rushed thing and like all good4 points

? We had several beardie coated pups, out of our Border sheepdogs and Cattle Dogs,...I think folk sometimes forget the salient word with this particular canine,..it is a Collie...? Herding dogs need to be of sound temperament, it pays to thoroughly research their suitability, before any lurcher breeding project is undertaken, or it can definitely get emotional...4 points

I hate Christmas, used to love it, but now it starts in October it lost it's meaning, used to be peace and good will to all, now it's just an excuse for people who are hopelessly in debt to buy stuff they can't afford. Only thing I like now is the Christmas dinner, and trifle. ?4 points

I've mentioned the girl at work before - she's less than adventurous with her food and, made it perfectly clear that she wasn't going to be trying any pig skin I sent her a couple of pictures today while it was cooking. I salted both sides and cooked it in the oven, turning it a couple of times. When it was almost finished, I put some honey on the fat side and, put it back in for a couple of minutes. I ran it over to work. The big yank loved it. She took more convincing - I told her if she tries a bit, I'll stop going on. Guess what - she tried it, liked4 points

That’s the thing rh I’ve been in this game long enough to know it’s full of idiots. Been to yards over the years of lads that were supposed to be top notch only to find dogs knee deep in shite and chewed up boxes with the wind and rain blowing threw them. I’d rather cull than think I could be sending a pup to a life like that.4 points

I’ve never thought a deal was possible the Eu have always run roughshod over everyone and everything the only way out is hard current economic forecasts for hard puts our economy still climbing in 15 years4 points

Nah mate no way should we cut our own legs off to be free, we are British and fighters as it is. We should cut the head off the snake that is the EU and walk away free and healthy. Nobody is saying it’s gona be easy at 1st but by god how did we ever rule the world by being Fanny’s? We didn’t, but due to the Eu rules they’re turning our youth into subservient zombies who wave we rainbow flags, run n hide n tell and want sex changes. Now we need to get rid of the defeatist attitude4 points

Leave with no deal. They aways gave us the shitty end of the stick. The EU is falling apart anyway. They were never going to give us a good deal, there shitting them selfs that we will make a success of it. I sure there are other countries watching and they will follow if we do. They only want us in the EU to help pay the bills. If we stay in now and we go crawling back say please lets us stay they will shit all over us in the future. We got are chance hold are nerve and leave the manipulating blackmailing unelected b*****d once and for all. Change are minds now and your playing right int4 points

Been around fighters all my life too, and used to box. Also, my stepfather who was a top fighter in the 50's, along with my mother, both dead now, used to run their own boxing club. My son, who's 28, used to box. So I don't think I'll be wiping my nose before going to school lol. Tell you what though, I can tell you're getting worked up over this, and I'll say it one more time, if you, or anyone, think fury is top class and the best fighter on this planet, well, I'll leave you carry on. Merry christmas and have a good trip to las vegas ?. Forgot to say, my youngest lad, 11 years old4 points

You can only beat who's in front of you ? And who's around at the time todays heavies may not be nearly as good as past eras, but mythical matchups and comparing ain't no good to no one really all through boxing divisions at any era there's been its greats and it's puddings tyson, aj, wilder can only work with who's active in their division currently has been a sorry state of affairs where heavies are concerned recently (Charles Martin in a title fight ??) but today's lot can't do nothing about who's in their division and what they can and can't do3 points

I don't think that's a play, Max, I believe it. There's no truly good 'deal' to be had, our respective positions do not have common ground. The only 'deal' possible is a pragmatic divorce to ensure no loose ends. Two years ago I was sceptical with all the brexiteer talk of "They'll change their tune and want a deal with us, too much for them to lose!" and now I firmly believe it was bollocks. We had and have to be utterly uncompromising and willing to cut our own f***ing legs off to regain our freedom, anything else will be taken advantage of. I honestly think the "good trade deal" i3 points

I had six pups fourteen months ago, kept one gifted three to my mates, and gifted two to a guy on here(he offered to pay) that I never met before,,because he was a genuine dog man.So Mister Ace Boone, there are plenty of genuine dog men on this site.No disrespect but who the f**k would want a dog from the States, most of it came from Peddlers from over here.3 points
