All methods of hunting if done correctly are effective. It's when it's done incorrectly ( dog, snare or gun) that problems start. That's why they use the word humane dispatch. If hunting men quarrel amongst themselves then the anti won't need much help to ban all hunting.6 points

Yea when you think about it that's a long way down! Also shows how insignificant we really are compared to the ocean's. Biggest man made ship in its time. Maiden voyage and it just disappeared to the depths. Another thing hard to imagine is the loss of 1500 souls. Have to admire the men back then though. Some of the richest in the world refused to go in lifeboats and gave up their seat to women and kids went down with dignity. Wonder how that would compare today. Can't imagine the trump's and Blair's etc etc doing that.6 points

I want a perfect political party who represents me. Until then, as much as it sickens me, we only have the conservatives. If Labour get in next time then England, the countryside and everything we love is finished.5 points

The Last Battle If it should be that I grow frail and weak And pain should keep me from my sleep, Then will you do what must be done, For this — the last battle — can't be won. You will be sad I understand, But don't let grief then stay your hand, For on this day, more than the rest, Your love for me must stand the test. We have had so many happy years, You wouldn't want me to suffer so. When the time comes, please, let me go. Take me where my needs they'll tend, Only, stay with me till the end And hold me firm and speak to me Until my eyes no longer see. I know3 points

It may seem ironic to post this on an internet forum but I think that the internet and social media will be the real driving force behind the end of fieldsports....3 points

Legal fox hunting is gone, never to return, in my view. What we should all be doing is concentrating our efforts into make sure that other fieldsports don't go the same way ! I continue to support my local hunt, but not in any real hope of seeing a repeal. These days, I'm more concerned about further restrictions on air guns, and tightening of other firearms legislation. If you work dogs, a reworking of animal welfare laws could see your last time squeezed. Once we allow politicians to set off down a road, they never turn back !3 points

It's easy mate, much of the day is spent just thinking, occasionally you write some of it down and very rarely you have to justify your existence by telling someone what you have been thinking about....... which is no bother because no c**t understands anyway!3 points

If you don't take a fishing rod to south west wales with you then your'll do nothing but sit and wish you had when you see the coast it has to offer mate ,down around St Davids up to Cardigan has loads of campsites right next to the sea and they don't ever really seem to get crowded even in summer hols time and plenty of other things to do with the kids that way as well..3 points

I wouldn't even reply to him lmo he is only taking the piss out of everyone with all these silly questions loads of information on every breed of terrier going on here he doesn't need to ask.3 points

If she is not in pain, and is not incontinent and she is not costing you a fortune in vets bills, I'd put it off. She's made it through the winter. Spring is in the air. Nothing wrong with having a doddering dog that doesn't want to run with young ones. Leave her have her moment in bed, if she wants.3 points

Had a terrier start collapsing on walks and going into fits last year. That was the time to let her go. She would piss in the house and hide because she knew it was wrong but couldnt help it. Not worth watching. I agree with doing it whilst the dog has some dignity.3 points

RHVD and the new K5 strain, has been let go on a few of the permissions I frequent, and has had little impact, it is more effective is some areas than others, where their resistance is still building2 points

Looking at the picture there appears to be a number of rings that would suggest multiple episodes of growth interruption This suggests needing support on a number of occasions. For me the biggest question is "what came 1st domestication or the dog?"2 points

Just mind getting a cottage near the Presseli (yeah spelling boyo's )mountains in summer as the midges in the evening will eat you and your kids alive, happened to us a couple of few years back and our car the clutch, fly wheel gave out so we were sort of stuck up there until the holiday was over and the AA could take us home. But west Wales is a awesome place with a awesome coastline with loads of clean beaches for the kids and rocks for the dads to fish off..2 points

I was told it was best to do it "one day too soon, rather than leave it one day too late" in other words, while the dog still has a bit of dignity, rather than see your old mate too sick or crippled with pain. Be with her to the end.....she has earned that much.....but it's never an easy day......2 points

When you think it's time it May be less stressful if you have the vet come out and do it in comfortable surroundings (house). I've lost my fair share to working/out in the field over the years, the hardest being 2 old terriers I had pts within a few months of each other, I cried like a small child not afraid to admit that, whatever happens won't be easy, just don't let it suffer anymore than it has too. Atb in what you decide ?2 points
