  2. Had a a night out on the fells in one of the bothys, was a lovely frosty night with no cloud, the moon was so bright we could have a wander out on the fell just by the moon light. once we got the fire going it didn’t take long to get a pot of chilli going which went down nicely with some toasted marshmallows for afters.

  6. Shame really. I for one will be gutted when the last of the big cats that roam our British countryside become extinct. Especially to the folk who see them regulary. Maybe they can take some pics for prosperity when they finally go extinct.

  8. A lot of peoples contributions are sorely missed , the Forum is going downhill fast , there are very few hunting pictures and write ups posted now, the people seem to focus on Muslims ,Homosexuals Drugs, and other topics that have no connection to Hunting, Ten years ago you could pass hours away arguing good naturedly on the Ferreting /Lamping / Trapping sections and even the General talk was good and usually informative, i think some of the hunting folk would come back if a few of the racist idiots left

  11. I never mentioned cctv Neil, as for deterring the shoplifter it dosn't. im on about the people who know or are involved in the dog theft circle who haven't got the balls to stand up and tell the truth. It'll never change because a large percentage of the dog world is full of liars, backstabbers and dog dealers breeding shit from shit and selling on that shit.As for you driving your van through a front door Stop talking shit.

  12. If your caught shoplifting from Mace or Centra theres an image of you in the shop window..named and shamed....So you lads who know someone whos involved past or present why wont you name and shame them? Maybe youve got something to hide and your scared of opening a can of worms.Just my opinion.

  17. I’m not a Particularly violent person but that girls husband should take a look at himself . Last year at a works party a lad from Work grabbed my misses arse and I had a quiet word. He thought himself a bit tasty And followed her back to my table thinking himself clever so I kicked him all over the place if you can’t get angry when your misses is uncomfortable when can you?

  19. I had a dog many years ago who was predominately collie , the rest whippet greyhound I took that old dog everywhere, as in everywhere, he would wait on me at school and we’d go out, if I was playing football he’d sit at the side and wait , weirdly I never saw him asleep, ever, if you were awake he was! that little collie dog doddled up Lake District hills , swam rivers, ran miles daily, went beating with me for pheasants and foxes , Work the lamp Like a hoover , find rabbits were they didn’t know they were themselves and would do anything I commanded instantly, he cost me 5 p

  20. Out on ale last night which is rare these days for me , was meant to be taking my lad jack out to ferret a bank a couple miles from me but was rough so sacked that idea.. by midday the boredom had set in so decided to have a quick hour out with our new Jill that we’d got off a lad on here and my lurcher gwen .. I’d checked this place earlier in the week and dogs were marking up so netted what we could and left Gwen loose .. couple minutes later we had our first rabbit caught by lurcher.. then a massive rat flew out that didn’t make a yard from hole and a few minutes later another that

  21. Well, me and my best mate got a nice two and a half hours in again this afternoon, in one of the natural hides, using the HW 100 KT .177. Here`s the hide view again, the canopy is closing in nicely now. Kaiser retrieving to hand - just for Rez and Matt - look how proud he is, trotting back with his bird . Finally lads - He wanted to pose atb Mark. p.s. I`ll be switching back to the classic hunting next with the 1970`s FWB Sports - I love the challenge they bring.

  24. Well flooding ain't the best thing in the world when it comes to mink trapping. In fact it can be a nightmare. But flooding don't last forever, and eventually the water subsides. I find this is often a good time to catch mink in numbers, when they begin to return to the rivers after abandoning ship. Managed four mink this morning out of seven traps. And that's after a week or more checking empty traps. I suppose the key factor here is to keep those traps working, no matter what the weather throws at you, so's not to miss an opportunity of a catch. Another thing to keep

  26. That's because they've been caught red handed, their name is not put up and the CCTV image is usually blurry. They never get caught and the pic is put up to deter other thieves from thieving. If, let's just say, I seen dogs being robbed and took a pic and then put up on the inter-net "This is Robert Booth stealing dogs" all he has to do is deny it and sue me. But that will never happen because A. I've no money and B. He usually gets other's to do the robbing.

  33. Skill levels are okay but speed, physicality etc. no match for any half decent level in the men's game. Bit like most sport really. The BBC showing women's football it is merely pandering to the equal rights brigade. Most women don't even watch any football, and most men wouldn't waste their time watching this shite. So the beeb shows matches that nobody watches all so that they can't be criticised by a few bra burning lesbians and so they won't write in to complain. If women's football wants to attract a bit more of an audience, then they'll need to go down the beach volleybal

  34. i think regards sports, that more physical the less a woman is good at it,= boxing, football, cricket , women just carnt move like a man, and lack there physical power, and at the highest level in the sport it shows alot more deff, and like been said on here there a massive difference in the 2 levels . But if women want to do these sports good for them , when i was doing karate , we had kids and women really liked doing it , at the end of the night the last 1/2 hour we all do free style = fighting, thats any belts i used to get good few wack in that, many time put on my arse lol

  41. One or three members have asked me about hold under and hold over when shooting static elevated shots when I`m after the likes of wood pigeons. I know lads use Chair gun and some use range finders with an " incline" function - not for me lads, that`s way to techno` for me . I like things simple and easy. Hold under is required to shoot upwards AND downwards, angles, distances velocity are all part of the calculations - I`m lost already . Here`s what I do. Most shots are taken at 9-

  42. Well, I'm a bit of a soft touch with my dogs,( never used to be)...but, nowadays I tend to keep them as Pet/Companions... Curiously enough, I haven't noticed all that much difference in our contemporary rabbiters, to our older style 'serious' workers. We can still have a weekend away on the good productive ground, and catch whats on offer, ..but achieved, without the former hassle, stress, and strain... Dogs should be a pleasure to own, train and to live with, if they are not, best to part company for the happiness of all concerned
