  2. Look lads it's the internet and half of what's said on here is bollox and a wind up ... there are guys that slate Salukis guys that slate bull crosses ... my job was to slate whippets ? I have owned whippet crosses in the past but for the last ten years or so they didn't suite my terrain and I needed bigger stronger dogs ( horses for courses ) ... as kev has said the majority of my work is rabbit catching so no need for big powerful dogs also and most importantly most of my contracts have a decent head of deer on their land and whilst you can take every precaution accidents Will and do

  5. Well the rabbits were getting low in the freezer to feed the ferrets, so I decided to get the batteries on charge, dust off the s200 and have a couple of hours at a local paddock. I haven’t been there for a while, as it was full of tiny little bunnies, so I thought I would let them grow a little. Well I turned up 5 mins before 10pm, so it was nice and dark already. The wind direction wasn’t the best, the forecast said a southerly wind. it was going to blow across the paddock, but it was more se, so it was blowing my smell along it slightly, but I thought I’m here now, let’s give it a cra

  7. when I was a boy most of the lurchers in my area were deerhound based, and decent dogs in reality, but I was a smug little b*****d cos I got a saluki lurcher, and at that time 1969 there were very few, and they were out standing for brown hares, these little dogs were clever, they could take control of a course and actually slow a hare down, and manipulate it and more or less take it out at will, unless you take in a course and understand what's happening its easy to think the dog is struggling, its not, that's why those that understood, took it to there hearts and now we have what we have, t

  9. Love watching the old dog go. His a lot of fun. We passed a gateway and quite a lot of rabbit sign so I though mmm nice thick hedge running down there is a good chance of a bunny heading across this gape. I had a stop net in me bag but no pegs so I had to improvise The dog was disgusted by me effort and I could see him thinking Phil Lloyd come and get me ffs So off we went down the hedge enjoying the time. Sure enough it kicked off. The rabbit came running up inside the hedge with dog in tow. Then broke out in front of the dog. They started headed towards me well

  11. My mate said he would like to have a look at the Brocock bantam ,so we phoned all the gun shops in a 100 mile radius of Bournemouth but no shop had them in stock . We decided to travel up to Solware Tamworth about 150 mile , we arrived I thought Christ this is small from the front , but what a shop when we got in there . As soon as we opened the door and walked in we were asked if we would like a coffee and biscuit which we did , then we had a good look round . My mate had a look at the Brocock and decided its not the gun for him , in fact he hated the thing , which I did tell

  13. Great to see some young tykes at the beginning of their long journey. Personally, I love having a few pups around the place, they make the hunting life so very exciting... Every walk out, every wee discovery and each new experience, is an adventure in itself... I miss mouching around with a young lurcher, you can go anywhere, do anything,...no problems, no stress...?

  18. Savage scum in that video. ...... And they wonder why we don't want them over here. One of the reasons I voted leave was because some poxy lefty will pluck them off their own coast, bring them all the way to Europe then, some Wop politician in southern Europe will issue them a pass document, knowing full well that they'll f**k off north (not my problem jack) in the hope of getting to the UK. f**k that, the Spics and Frogs are welcome to them as long as they don't cross the channel. The sooner we leave Europe to its own misery the better.

  19. Ah, the Rambla, I remember it, the street artists, the stationary mime acts, the side arcades, the pick pockets ! When we leave and stop paying money in the situation WILL get worse. They should round them up, take them out to a field and bomb the Bs.

  27. I think it is wrong to say it cant be done by a dog without saluki blood any where, but you must realize those dogs are rare, that's why a specialist was bred and refined over the last 50 years.

Met a few folk, chased a cyclist and messed around doing a few retrieves with rabbit skin dummy. Couldn't be happier with her so far... I'm sure she will become a pain in the arse shortly but so far so good ??

  36. The problem here is that too many fuckwits are breeding dogs they don't know how to train, and then selling them to other fuckwits with no clue. This is why we can't have nice things..
