  1. Love an open fire. They always make me chilled. My first memory of one is when I was a kid before I went to school. My mam was breastfeeding my kid sister and I was staring out of the window watching the rain and listening g to the coals falling in the grate. No telly just silence. My old dear sent me to the shop with a list and when I got back I had dropped the ration book. Off I went to find it and when I did and brought it home, my mam gave me a home made scone with jam as a reward. I dried off by the fire and fell asleep. I still go wild camping and used to take my sons when they were

  2. I went three doors down to complain about the noise from his fireworks and when the bloke answered he was like a brick shithouse, he said "hope you've not come to moan," I said "no I just wondered if it's ok for me to watch from my garden."

  7. Like said , from what I've owned and seen the best first cross collie lurchers have been whippet greyhound but with any first cross lurcher I like the dam to be the running dog.

  10. Its funny how all the stories are different. My Mrs friend is a cancer nurse at the local hospital, she said there is 43 cases of covid where bed space/oxygen etc is required. That is more than any time in our hospital since this began. Still can't get my head around how the Internet experts are so convinced this isn't serious as like everyone else, including the real experts no one knows what the f**k happens with this disease...its less than a year old (taking all conspiracy theories out of the equation). But the truth is people are in hospital and are being treated for covid,

  11. The dam to my older dog was full saluki to a 1/2 collie grey. She was a good rabbiting dog and looked a bit like a leggy collie. The lad put a well bred working grew over her. Brought the size up a bit and produced a tidy litter. As said, depends what you want them for.

  24. Good to see Stavross and the boys had a good day . I went beating on the local commercial shoot . They had a good day . We were warned that they weren’t the best shots and it might be a struggle, but they shot quite well . It wasn’t a good flying day for the birds , no wind and clear sky , bright sunshine, but the birds flew surprisingly well . A different day to my last day on Saturday, which saw us get soaking wet , however the guns enjoyed themselves and we exceeded the bag and there seems to be plenty of birds around. We’ve got a long break now and hope to be shooting again

  32. We can all go round in circles for ever with this one...and none of us will agree on every point, that's the same as anything, we all have different view points plus things out of our control all affect us differently.. I certainly don't want another big lock down, I've worked through all of it anyway with only 4 days off since February so no big change in that respect. I got 2 mates in the pub trade, god knows what will happen for them?? To try and weigh off people's health vs economy is a minefield as the factors are too many. If everyone could just be sensible for a few

  33. Watched them arrive at night before now and as you say, first moon in November. They've been so knackered I've been able to catch them to have a look at them. I've noticed it can be later in November if there are strong westerly winds on the first moon.

  40. Rednecks are standing at ready Mr President. Trump put Alabama National guard on standby a few weeks ago. Wonder why he picked my state.? There is more state militia than I ever remember.I would rather die than have to think of what my grandchildren would have to endure under the communist. IF Trump is the man I think he is we will settle this 159 year old dispute.
