  3. I took my second cock bird this morning with my smallest muzzleloader. It was a cool wind at first light and I was knackered. A hard week at work. Out lamping till 11:30. Less than five hours kip and out again early. But I dodged the rain. Blasted some squirrels too. I do love a good hunt the old way.

  5. As the title says , there have been some greys feeding on a stubble over our boundary so I set up on our field adjacent . I placed out 6 decoys and tucked myself in a gorse bush. 2 skeins arrived and came in great ,1st skein I took a single , the 2nd bird didnt drop. 2nd skein took a lovely left and right ???so went home a happy bunny.

  7. I mentioned on a thread, some time back, when I did three months pro bono work for the DHSS. This was when they were closing the dole offices and going on-line. Every claimant had to have a c.v. uploaded on line and had to open an e-mail account. It was my job to help them do this. I couldn't believe the number of people, mainly men in their 30's and 40's, who were illiterate and innumerate, who had never had a job in their life, had no intention of ever wanting or getting a job, and were happy to just get their benefits and carry on. Theres a whole underclass who have neve

  9. I get what you're saying mate but its symptoms or cure....those that can heal can harm/those that can cure can kill etc etc After 1.3 trillion quid to Africans and a worldwide pandemic to even think about focusing on our own....some might say that horse has bolted. We are a first world country with probably the wealthiest lowest tier living in the world....in this day and age with all the benefits in place, child allowance/child support/tax credits/housing benefit etc all in place, any child allowed to go hungry should be taken into care in my opinion.....worst ways reduce their benefi

  10. I think this thread sums up the festive period quite well. Starts off with the build up and then the annoying relatives arrive and start arguing. It all ends up being a complete waste of time and no one has even mentioned Jesus.

  32. I'm on a low income. We have 3 kids not one of them gets free school meals as I missed out by earning £120 a year more than the government cut off .. I was furloughed for 9 week and I was better off on 80% than I was on a full wage because I had no travel to school expensives no travel to work expensives. Any benefits we receive got a bit more added on to them .. The problem in the society today is people feel entitled to this that and the other .. they don't work because they don't need to when the government gives them everything

  33. I keep seeing words like "Punjabi " and "Ocean View" cropping up on various threads . Are they innuendo or some sort of subliminal message ? Only understood by THL's version of the Freemasons ? Its confusing me as I keep going back in the threads to find out what they mean, but no luck ! Cheers.

  37. It’s very easy to get all het up at the thought of snotty nosed kids with Tin ribs opening coal at Xmas . how many of the mams and dads were fuming at not being out at bank holiday ? how many are cutting around in 120 notes trainers ? I agree with the concept of free school dinners , but I go nowhere , I don’t go to the boozer, I wear nice stuff but I make it last . id love to be head to toe in tattoos and be able to stick her full of Botox and wardrobes like a Russian hooker but the reality is we make do and the kids come first .
