Just had a great night with the lamp. New land with loads of rabbits, had the first bunny in the bag within less than a minute. Sometimes it was hard to know which rabbit to follow, due to the numbers. I stopped at 9 as that's about as many as I can deal with easily. This is my dogs first proper season and he's coming on well, pushing them away from the hedges and showing great prey drive and returning after misses. Great night overall. Sorry to those who are struggling to find the numbers elsewhere in the country, hopefully numbers will recover sooner rather than later.8 points

A little bit of roost shooting the woodies this afternoon. It never ceases to marvel me watching flocks of woodies coming into roost. This 99 also never ceases to amaze me. It puts jsb 16 GRN pellets on top of each other. And the knock the snot out of woodies. Happy dog, bag full of pigeon, good air rifle equals happy man. U.6 points

Decided on an early start so arrived at mates as 1st light emerged and spotted a pair of squirrels feeding amongst the pheasants at a feeder on the edge of a wood.i crept up to about 35 yrs and picked one out just as it settled on a tree root crosshairs in place and gentle squeeze on trigger and it just curled up with tail spinning like a helicopter and on closer inspection pellet through head. Happy with that me thinks so off for a mooch and missed an easy woody.Top of this wood is another feeder and squirrel underneath so another slow manouver and resting on side of tree and another5 points

You prove you’re the best by holding all the belts.., that’s why it’s called ‘undisputed’. Fury’s stock is not sky high, he’s got nothing to offer but an easy marketable fight in the UK but not the US. It might be the biggest money spinner for both but like you say it’s not about the money ? Joshua probably made 3x what Fury did v’s Wilder when he fought Parker or Povetkin in the UK. Joshua doesn’t need Fury right now, he needs the WBC belt and to hang on to the other three. Fury not beating Wilder leaves him with fewer options.5 points

knock doors and be prepared for a few knock backs.....try and get out with some tidy lads, show them your trust worthy and ffs don't be pulling your phone out and start snapping away lol......sheep,dairy farmers and chicken/game farms always a good start.get some public liability insurance and a few cards with your details on them, can leave them with the folks you try.be patient could take some time......good luck mate and always do right by your dogs?5 points

Got to be truthful that’s the first time I’ve seen a traveller robbed as bad as that lol5 points

I have never been a Fury fan either but to come back from an extremely bad place both mentally and physically in just over a year and put on a show of heart like he did he deserves the utmost respect for that from anyone. Losing that much weight is not an easy task and to rise above a mental illness says a lot about the mans character. I for one wish him well for the future.5 points

Very nice, got some legs on them,as i dont know,or need to know what your purpose is for them i cant say alot, except it makes a change to see a pic of healthy dogs, out in country side, not some dog shit infested, garden with a green mouldy kennel in the background.if they get a good walk, and catch a few things along the way,and keep the owner happy,well....happy days.4 points

Here’s a few pics from the last week, terrier was 1 years old in November he’s made a nice dog around the home which is important to me, he’s a good guard dog but still kind to the grand kids & he makes me laugh, working wise I couldn’t be more pleased, his nose is excellent he can track rabbits well,he’s got common sense it’s hard to believe he’s only one, my cocker is 6 for the first 5 years of his life as a picking up dog he wasn’t allowed to chase rabbits but this year I encouraged him to chase them it has taken 6 months to get him chasing rabbits but it 80% effort at the moment if I ca3 points

My point is that the bitch as shown on vids that she can run and catch on land that you and some times i run on but until you run a dog on good numbers 2 to 3 times a week you dont Know if they are a good dales dog . I'm not saying plenty of good dogs will not do this now and then but for them to keep doing this 2 to 3 times a week for 5 years for me that's a good un.3 points

I don't agree if she run the way she runs on the seed smashing into hedges to catch the rabbit in there or bring it back out she wouldn't last a night in the dales, I've seen a few bring them up and run this way on the lamp and some don't go back home. A good dales dog runs the way she does, she knows when the time is right to make a strike and she can turn on the speed when she needs. Take it from me a collie wouldn't catch the rabbits on that short grass she makes them look easer than they are. Not many last to a age up the dales with out having to be retire early or have to get rid because3 points

Go beating it’s a good way to show you are sensible young man that can be trusted let loose in the country side, once helping out on the shoot you will hopefully get abit or ratting & rabbiting & dogging in which should go a long way towards some fox work.regards public liability insurance this usually comes with your house insurance, for years I was a NGO member mainly for the insurance but it came to light when BASC members were trying to claim that you can only claim off one public liability insurance at one time and as most folks have house insurance the BASC insurance is abit of a w3 points

If he's really into it constantly wanting to go out why not get him a little rescue lurcher if it's only for chasing rabbits, I can remember walking 2 terriers round a field digging up moles ( never did get one) but had the time of my life everything just seemed so fascinating out in the felds3 points

I have one of the Boots x Fenn litter, hasn't put a foot wrong bar a bit of hunting up off lamp that is diminishing. Loyal, fast , driven and intelligent . A one person dog . I also have one of these pups, he is a cracker as was the litter mates I saw. He is strong , bold and has a nut like a hammer on him whilst being built like rose . If my older one and him make the grade and they only have me to please on that then in 4-5 years time I'd love to take a pup from them to continue the line but, they hav to do the job first . I could have sold my older one five times over , people l3 points

I re-configured the box this year to take the traps sideways and put holes in the other end of the box as advised. They do indeed work much better that way and getting clean kills.2 points

Always like to hear about the experts being proved wrong. I grew up with a dog that was the opposite size wise. He ended up at about 30" and looked like a oversized coursing greyhound. Like a vaulting horse and as wide. Was not able to catch anything 'till well over 2 year old. Many people said he was too big, too heavily muscled (?), too heavy. The 1st thing that he caught was a hare. On the way home he caught 2 rabbits. He did not miss much after that day. Then the experts did as experts tend to do, not admit that they were wrong but tried to buy him.2 points
