Well been out fishing a local river with a good pal of mine and my youngest lad and the little lad catches this thing not usually stumped when it comes to fish so we carefully took a pic and released the little fella got home and found some info on the fish a bullhead and quite a decent sized one rarely caught on rod and line so my lad is walking around a very happy and proud fisherman ?9 points

Hi guys was out with the hw100 ks Saturday morning took these rabbits and a crow. Only there for 2hours was going to shoot targets but these came into range and I thought it would be rude not to have a crack at them. Any way getting that crow earned me half a dozen fresh eggs from the land owner as the crows go into her chicken coup and steal eggs one less now though.4 points

Well lads, i`ve just given my spring rifles a match off, i`ve left the FWB Sport rifles out for now as they are not scoped up. All rifles were shot from cold, with no prior practice today. All the rifles shoot far better than i do but for me, the only difference between these rifles is personal preference . I`ve put a Puffer group in there to show that spring rifles are every bit as accurate if you do your bit. atb Mark.4 points

Very, very nearly took the Pro Sport out tonight but opted for the HW 100 KT .177. as i have not shot pcp in weeks. Got to the copse and sat down for 6-30 pm. For 7-45 pm all i had seen was two mating hawks. First and only presentation was taken at at 41 yds lased. ( between the shoulder blades, instant dispatch) What a beautiful evening out again lads. atb Mark.4 points

these dogs were being advertised as smithfields in the old shooting times of 1978,the pups were bred out of bluey (page 30 lurchers and long dogs out of a coursing greyhound, the ad also stated hares beware, about the same time a chap named Aubrey fryer was trying to produce a smith field type of lurcher, pictured in Lambourn book by hancock, must try and learn how to post pics myself, still learning;4 points

One of the farmers had spoke about a lot of rabbits in 1 field were I don't often go and hes' little grass on due to the short fall in rain. Mr wilk and I had decided to have a little drive over to run a net out and see how we fared. Wind was poor and the sky as clear with the moon sitting low but we was there so we give it a go. Working together we ran 2 x 50yd nets out along a hedge line and then made our way around the back of the rabbits walking the field in. due to the house lights lighting up the fields it was possible to see the rabbits getting up. It was good to see even watching3 points

I think you're doing pretty much the right thing mate. There's more than a few people on here, and they aint all youngsters either, that have started their pups at 4, 5 and six months old, and those dogs are now still paying the price for it, or have been 'moved on' cos 'they weren't suitable'. Keep up with the patience mate ?3 points

When I started to look at NV units I tried so many units from home build to top of the range stuff . We saw nightsite ones at the midland game fair when they first came out , all they had done is coped the home build ones and added another shit loads of money on them , plus soon as I looked at it I said to them the screen would light you up and which it did at the time they said would not be a problem and that was one of the biggest problems plus all the leads . In the end we decided on Pulsar N550 ,this unit was completely 100% better than any of the others ,ok it cost at lot more but2 points

Managed to catch this small barbel out of the River Kennet the other night, I haven’t fished it for a few years. Apparently it’s not the river it used to be, I have heard that otters are one of the reasons for its demise. I was touch ledgering under some trees and as I got the bite an otter swam in front of me, it spotted me there was a big swell then it was gone. I thought it was going to steal my fish for a while .2 points

To be honest I've never seen the need for the vets or GP's for that matter. Generally they cause more harm than good. Mis information, mis diagnosis, etc etc. Some may be sincere and want to help of course, but that pales into insignificance compared to organisations as a whole. It's big business and the results of it show due to the general health of animals and people today for that matter. It's a scam.2 points

On behalf of my Mum and I, thank you for posting about Jim's sudden and unexpected death. Sadly, Knockerbox Repairs is now closed and there is no further stock available. I know that Dad would want to wish you all the best of luck in the future and that your boxes and collars will hopefully provide you with many years of happy hunting.2 points
