  9. One or three members have asked me about hold under and hold over when shooting static elevated shots when I`m after the likes of wood pigeons. I know lads use Chair gun and some use range finders with an " incline" function - not for me lads, that`s way to techno` for me . I like things simple and easy. Hold under is required to shoot upwards AND downwards, angles, distances velocity are all part of the calculations - I`m lost already . Here`s what I do. Most shots are taken at 9-

Those links are sausages for immediate use, buy em fry em sausages, the meat is mushy and mosty fat and filler like bread crumbs and water, preservatives are regularly used to just try to ensure you dont get poisoned by your food Have you ever seen a commercial salami in links? Air cured meat sometimes smoked as well as cured. These sausages we make are for long term storage and use, we will eat them thru

  12. since changing my 4.5 mag photon xt for a 6x photon rt ive been struggling with ranging shots, not so much a problem round the farm but in the fields on the rabbits! ive been thinking about a night time range finder for a while and id looked at these a few weeks back and after watching the link vm put up I thought fcuk it and ordered one! the rt has a chunky picatinny rail and copes with the inbuilt ir well so no need to use the rail.. the ranger I ordered from custom rifle scopes comes supplied with a mount and changeable bracket so it ticked the boxes good soli

  13. Well, me and my best mate got a nice two and a half hours in again this afternoon, in one of the natural hides, using the HW 100 KT .177. Here`s the hide view again, the canopy is closing in nicely now. Kaiser retrieving to hand - just for Rez and Matt - look how proud he is, trotting back with his bird . Finally lads - He wanted to pose atb Mark. p.s. I`ll be switching back to the classic hunting next with the 1970`s FWB Sports - I love the challenge they bring.

  17. Well, I'm a bit of a soft touch with my dogs,( never used to be)...but, nowadays I tend to keep them as Pet/Companions... Curiously enough, I haven't noticed all that much difference in our contemporary rabbiters, to our older style 'serious' workers. We can still have a weekend away on the good productive ground, and catch whats on offer, ..but achieved, without the former hassle, stress, and strain... Dogs should be a pleasure to own, train and to live with, if they are not, best to part company for the happiness of all concerned

"I then make any vertical adjustments to my scope to make my set up " shot specific" Do the same to the left and right sides of the tree, ( shooting a mark) and any difference is minimal but do make note of half mill dot upwards for left or right hand wind allowance if any." So you essentially re-zero every time then? With no hold under or over at all Proper sniper clicks that Marko... Dialling in on them pijjjies you. You'll be writing for Air Gunner next.

  22. Yeah you can't fault that reasoning . And im sure big majority of cases are exactly that . Nothing I've seen online picture wise have made me think "yeah that's a if cat for sure". But i wouldn't be cast iron 100% sure their isn't anything as some are . Like you said people are mistaken / want to join the bandwagon etc . But I don't think it doesn't require further looking into . There may very well be something out there. Or there might be nothing . Both sides of the coin have there reasons and I'll quite happily admit im sitting on the fence . But I wouldn't paint all believers as nut jobs

  29. Is it a mans game ? The little bit I watch seems to show 22 faggots more worried about their hair and make up than being sportsmen. Horse racing is my favourite spectator sport where women compete with the men on level terms and when they fall it's a horse that kicks them, not an over payed wannbee shemale.

  30. Its much too much but I just want out now. Blair and a huge number of the left are trying like buggery to scupper the whole process and ignore the democratic vote of the people because "the people voted the wrong way" so for me pay it if it means control of our borders etc. If we fanny on any longer it isnt gonna happen at all.

  31. went to another farmers land yesterday as he has been baiting hard since sept. we checked his cam pics and that sticker buck from another bait site had turned up there. he has a raised hunting blind which i got him to move to this one acre pasture which has trails coming from all directions.a nice secluded spot, where the deer etc can feed day/night. i get there and the fckn stand is positioned behind two trees with no clear view of the bait............sigh the stand is angled so you have to open two windows,so the cold wind froze me. i had deer coming in al

  41. The 243 comment Was because I know several people who have gone the 243 route because the 243 has got a lot more punch and wind riding ability out at range. Just because the 243 is more powerful you don't have to drive the tool at full chat. A Ferrari doesn't have to be driven flat out. The blokes that I know who use the 243 use light loads and bullets in the 55grn range. I have 222, 223, 243 and 270. I have a super accurate light load for the 270. I usually use the 223 because I like it but I would use the 270 also if the fancy took me. At most sensible ranges that a target is identified and

  43. Daily exercise/mooching about with more than one dog doesn't mean to say that each dog isn't or can't be worked individually either ferreting, lamping or, in the old days, coursing. Taking a group of dogs out together is just a good way to keep them occupied and reasonably fit as far as I'm concerned.

This was my cocker searching for wounded ducks in a flooded field, when ducks are wounded they will dive on water which makes them very difficult to find,I learnt him this by chucking dummy's in clear shallow water,at first he would look at me for a command and I would just encourage him buy saying get ya daft fxxking head in the water and it just clicked.
