Cracking morning frosty and still. Was ask by a mate to give him a hand with this hedge. So with the long nets and poke nets on top of hedge we ended up with 28 that a brilliant day for us. Except for a little spell in the middle which we had young popping out it went pretty smoothly. Cheers Arry14 points

I took a walk down to the village shop early morning to get some milk and bumped into local farmer and asked if he needed any one to ferret his land and he said "pop your phone number and address to the farm later today and we have a chat " I popped into the farm and after having a good chat I walked away with a map in my pocket of the boundary of my new permission ? I'm over the moon I got it and it's holding good numbers of coney and other vermin .14 points

Despite the fairly gusty conditions (I know it was nothing compared to you lot up there) I was itching to get out last night (even I have my limits on on time spent looking at sheep fanny). Fairly early on saw one in thermal working hedge about 180yds to my left but wind was being a bugger swirling around me and blowing down to him. He disappeared into hedge but hadn't seem that spooked. I took a slow walk towards where he'd been (needed to go that way anyway for the gate). No sign. Just before opening gate had a scan behind me and he was back in field with me, 250yds back up to my left10 points

Well that’s it, over and done with, not a big day but a good day to finish the season with, today I had Fellman Mark off here as my guest so I hoped the wind would get behind a few and make there way over him We arrived a bit early after checking the weather and knowing what birds would be there would be out and about, so we walked a few back into the drives drive number 1 was Gordon’s pen, not massive numbers but what did come out was very fast once the wind was behind it, a few of the guns got to shoot at some very nice birds on this one. Drive number 2 was the ruff next to Gordon10 points

Good news! I found my fox. Looks like it went to ground. I walked past the badger earth yesterday. I think they must of kicked it out! My dog Jess was a big help this morning so pleased about that.8 points

Had a good morning ,I dropped 75 purse nets and 10 poke nets in and along a double hawthorn /blackthorn hedge that both dogs marked .I placed the busher one side and me and the runner on the other and dropped a hob in each end and they bolted first coney in few minutes and next one hole hopped and netted itself ,one was taken by runner from unseen unnetted hole and she run it full length of hedge and nabbed it just in time and we had another five in the nets by 1 o'clock so over all it was a good start and we lost a couple from unseen bolt holes. The farmer popped over to see me and wa6 points

Well my grandson did ok with the little 20 bore. He shot 2 mallard and 3 pheasants and i know he hit another 2 pheasants but they kept going. I put that down to range and number sixes. He can use them up on pigeons and i will get the usual fives for him. Total bag was 39 head so he held his own with an unfamiliar gun, he can only get better with it.5 points

I have no interest in footballers, I have no interest in ethnics. I have zero interest in dirty tramps who shack up with ethnic footballers. And I have no interest in their domestic arrangements Both nobody's4 points

This reminded me of when l was a Keeper and l'd spent some time crouched in a thorn thicket at dusk trying to pick off magpies as they came in for the night. When it became too dark to see l set off ,with the gun under my arm, across the fields using the distant glow of the yard lights to navigate by. Unfortunatly l'd forgotten about a newly erected , mains-powered sheep fence. .. l blundered straight into it , and in so doing was afforded first hand knowledge of the electrical conductivity of AYA No 4 side by side barrels. But worse- still ; l became briefly entangled an4 points

Seen a young bitch do that one day. Got on and went to the end of the bank, only to run back into different parts and return to the same end another 3 times. We dug her with 4. A great bitch she turned out to be. Unlucky terriers? Unlucky isn’t when you’ve a good one! Its losing the likes and nothing out of it or anything to replace it.4 points

Yesterday l was offered an unexpected opportunity to spend an afternoon shooting along the private banks of a river . It was a great offer and as l knew it is unlikely to be repeated l was eager to take it up. With no time to buy cartridges l was glad that at home l had half a pocket full left from the last time l used the 12 bore. The "good thing" was that the shells were bismuth ; thus ducks could shot. The "bad thing" was that my shotgun had been dormant in the cabinet for about three years and l didn't exactly excel myself with it before that . Thus my chances3 points

A straight explanation at last thankyou sir.........he went through a few different numbers " Flower of Scotland " i recognised...." Long road to Tipperary " but " Auld Lang Sine " ( spelling ? )....i always thought was an English thing maybe im wrong....he also went off in some mad dialect that everyone was just looking around shrugging their shoulders at the Jocks never had their own language did they ...or did they ?......i smelled a rat when i saw " Haggis " was on the menu.....what made it even more uncanny was that after his little performance an Abba tribute act took to the stage ?....w3 points

I did a good one fishing. Had to climb a metal gate next to a busy road in muddy wellies. Got to putting my leg over and being stood over the top of the gate by a couple of foot, at which point one leg slipped off closely followed by the other. A rapid vertical motion followed in which I snookered myself, followed by a rigid body sliding off the gate sideways onto the pavement on the road side right in front of all the passing traffic. Luckily I could get up, but the lets just say I didn't play snooker for a while. To add insult to injury, got water licked as well.3 points

from asking questions from people who work doing it and what you learn as a kid at school didn’t take a brain surgeon to tell me natural immunity will defeat covid and over time it will spread faster but cause less damage you learn that when your about 12 wilf the only thing a cornflake box has in common is you folded quicker than i could fold a cornflakes box arse fall out sleeve rolled up ? i’ll be honest i couldn’t see you trying to wire the switch be scared stiff of getting an electric shock ?2 points
