  1. I had a lovely walk up along the river bank this morning, around 6.30 am this morning, and I was thinking about my first post I typed on Mother &son, I apologised, to the fellow who originally posted, for going off topic, it was my first post on here for at least two and half years, and there was a sarcastic remark made by a guy who goes by the name of BIG RON, I would bet he is a member who has a couple of subscriptions, and I have my suspicions who it came from, One bitch dog came to mind, Her name was Tinker a red fawn only 23" this was back in the day late 60s early 70s grey

  2. Bred my old bitch this year just whelped 10 pups she will be 9yr old tomorrow And normally wouldn't breed a bitch of this age but she's been a world beater to me. She's a genuine first X bred by myself out of Ried bred bull to daughter of Westmeath Hawk to a big unit of bull x bred down from Monty and Sally on father's side. All pups spoken for before birth. 4. My story with swimming/water is so embarrassing i only tell folk i dont really know that well ? Growing up i dont ever remember really even seeing the sea until late teens but once i did i was mesmerised by it i used to drive to Southend and run up to the end of the pier as part of my training ( its about a mile and a half long ) and spend hours just sitting there watching the water knowing i couldnt swim a stroke and was actually terrified of being in water any further than waist high.....then once my daughter was born i remember taking her to the same spot clutching her hand vice like a

"Yeah shouldnt take much to fill that gap , will only be a cuntfull" You could see their brains ticking over thinking "did he just say what i think he juat said"

  18. I’ve always held the train of thought that if you are truly friends with a person , you can call them out for being a prat. Personally I’d never side against a mate whatever , especially in public but This weekend has shown what I would say and dig at is to be proved . I hate this time of year as not too long ago I had the honour or misfortune of carrying a very dear friend of mine and a top top lad into a church purely on a misjudged action and what I Would term as a lack of bottle . My mate died swimming across a river pissed at night in a group of very weak swimmers. When I was

  21. Glad you're still in the game, I missed last season as I had the the old bitch, Delta, put down at 15, and my other bitch, Lima, has put in some great shifts, but at 12 is enjoying a well deserved retirement. I thought long and hard about getting another dog at 69, but decided if I didn't do it now, I'd probably end up regretting it, so brought in another pup ! They keep us young, if sometimes tired ! ? ! But, like you, I wouldn't be without a dog around, to have a walk out with and a bit of sport ! Cheers.

There's no click... there's a natural bullshit alert that flags up when a member is clearly taking nonsense..certain members seem to enjoy rubbing folks up the wrong way...when someone pulls them on it and gives them some back...the ridiculous threats and pm's start ?it's a small island and most will know someone who knows someone else..so pretty pointless really...enjoy your chosen path and don't worry what others are doing..manners

  32. I am always nervous when the birds first go to wood , especially when they are still tucked in the grass next to the wire . In the past foxes spook them and they jug over the fence and get nabbed . So far so good with the big pen . I stayed out with them the first two nights and on the second night shot two , but I’m still a bit cautious. I can’t be there 24/7 so I leave a radio on . I also put bits of rag soaked in aftershave dotted about . I find that doing this until they start to roost properly definitely helps . They had Talksport last night .

  33. My wife’s nephew , 21 fit as a flea , superb swimmer , had been out with the university cave diving club and when they came up they had a swim in the loch to clean off , he swam right across , halfway back he disappeared .Cold water shock was reckoned to be the cause . Sadly youngster drowning is a major worry over here , we have had one already this month , people coming on holiday don’t realise the danger of swimming pools , it’s not a problem when the whole family are out by the pool it’s the one second it takes for a toddler to wander outside in a lapse of concentration , answering t

  38. Agreed I like to see someone’s face and facial expressions when im talking to them not just a blue square with some eyes ? poking over the top it’s weird, as well as not being able to see all the beautiful women’s faces properly when your out and about it’s a real shame that a lot of people now see other people as a health hazards from all the scaremongering, it’s not natural this behaviour throw your masks away, mingle and be free people ?

If wearing a mask for the five or ten minutes it takes me to shop puts some old, worried people at ease, and doesn't put the staff in the invidious position of confronting me, then I'm happy to conform ? Cheers.

Wow, no way would I imagine you could captive breed Skylark !......they seem one of the wildest untameable birds that ever lived !.....just had a quick search and yes, there it is ........not sure it sits well.....skylark for me is a bird 100 foot in the air parachuting in singing its head off.

  42. Also walk your lamping ground in the daytime (if possible ?) so you'll know where there's any old chain harrows, half burried old farm machinery, open land drains, dykes etc so you know when you slip the dog has got a good chance of an unhindered run. Flip side of the coin, seen a mates dog kill itself by running flat out into an old trailer (huge great thing) because it was single minded on the fox it was after and had no awareness of anything else, sometimes it can't be avoided but you've got to do your best to try to stack the odds in your favour. Cheers, D.
