  1. The world we live in, we all know it’s predominantly blacks knocking each other off but we’re not allowed to actually say it, easier to bury the head in the sand and blame other factors. I would also like to know why these thugs only target talented young footballers with a bright future who had nothing at all to do with gangs???

  3. Interview done with a thoroughly nice FEO, was happy with everything except the 7mm which is pretty much talked myself out of anyway. Should be good for .22LR, .17HMR, .20 & .22 FAC air, but we will have to see what comes from the vetting office. Really happy, thank you all for your wise words ?

  4. I don't think dog aggression in staffs is a bad thing, when I was a kid you never heard of same sex staffs being kept together. Most of the modern dogs have had the spirit bred out of them to fit into our Disneyland, non offensive world.

  6. There is a cracking bloke down the pub who was always so cheerful & a generally polite happy go lucky sort, he lost 8 stone & he does look good, took up running & now he has become a self obsessed attention seeking insecure twat who bores the arse off everyone with his f***ing lack of self confidence ... now figure that one out & they say women are complex?

  11. I got some .445" balls the other week and have been itching to try them in my smoothrifle. A .440" rolls down the barrel. The .445" need a push. The first rabbit was not very photogenic! I was only low by an inch plus but it was enough to wreck the front end! The back end was fine though. I switched to shot soon after satisfying myself the .445" ball was a good thing! The next bunny was a sitter at 25yards with fine shot. Check the size of gut!! Loading shot again soon after we were part of a dispute, a dispute between rabbits, one of which run out of a

  16. ....get tired of lugging loads of kit? Moderators spoiling how a rifle handles. Shooting sticks. Heavy barrels. Huge scopes. Infrared gadgets and range finders? Clothing so you look like a moving tree! Get one of these and get back to your roots, enjoy your walk and learn to stalk again U.

  23. MF used to have one called Scott, had to dig the b*****d out on more than one occasion, would draw and was plenty game, excellent guard dog, gave us a right laugh when it took of after sheep one time dragging its chain and tether, M chasing it, when its tether hits a rock and bounced up hitting M on the head, gave him a right whack, needless to say we were very sympathetic?

  25. i still recon that this cross straight back to a greyhound would produce some handy dogs. but have to say i had a whippet/beddy first cross . he was hard as nails and would work below like a terrier if needed. he would have been the dog to put over the bitch. and i have to say you will get better results using working bred wheaten or beddy if you can find the right stuff. jmo

  28. Some good points raised, and some very nice groups, that said, most rifles can be improved, pro sports are no exception, for instance, AA still for some unknown reason insist on using a steel spring guide and top hat, the spring ends are poorly finished, not as bad as some, but still poor, most have grease in abundance inside when you strip them, which is never good, by paying attention to the finer details, like mirror polishing the spring ends, fitting some delrin parts, ensuring the piston washer is correctly sized, adding some power washers (which are generally needed after fitting lighter

  30. I just turned 55, and I'm definitely on the downward slope of life........ I'm 6ft and 15 stone. I've got heart disease and arthritis in my knees and hands, but I'll never give in ! I've played both forms of rugby, boxing, kickboxing and finally gave up Muay Thai at 35. I think that how strong your mind is matters more than whether your body is failing (because they all do, in the end !). I know a young fella who is constantly ribbing me about being old, worn out and washed up - I tell him " I might be old and slow, but if I catch you, you're in f***ing trouble !"

Back in the day not everyone had a phone so you wrote to the person or checked the classifieds etc.... There's probably more folks driven buy money these days than say 30 yrs ago...... And more of a minefield for folks looking for genuine workers. There's always been wrong uns evolved in dogs..... I'd say more so these days imo. Some folks always seem to have litters on the ground these days.... Breeding from sub standard dogs and selling lads a dream?
