Well I’m an old timer and I take my ferrets to the vets if I think it’s worth it. I only keep 100 percent workers and if I think they can be saved by a vet then it’s worth the trip.8 points

At 9.30pm just after making a brew I realised I was nearly out of milk. A trip to the local spar in the village was needed and so I set off. I decided to take the long way round so that I could check on some fields down the road. The farmer said he would cutting grass this week and I wanted to get on it when he had. Two minutes down the road and I was pleased to see two fields had been cut and the grass still on the ground. A trip out tonight was on the cards. I left the house at 10.30pm and was on the field four minutes later. The foxpro was out 50yds to my left and field mouse distress had b8 points

Some folk don't quite appreciate, just how valuable (££££) a top class working ferret, or a team of reliable workers actually is..?6 points

I never saw anything moving before dark . Once the light had faded which seemed to take forever out came the Foxpro ? 1st stand had a dog fox racing in to hare distress shot at 75 yds. 2nd stand had a vixen screaming in to cub call shot at 100 yds Brilliant night , got to go out again tonight as farmer text to say a fox walked passed his patio window last night at 11.20 pm6 points

Looked out the window tonight and saw a heart in the sky , so thought this must be an omen so grabbed the rifle and off for a wander. Busy watching lapwings, curlews and managed to get within a couple of yards of a snipe crouched down? I was wandering through an uncut silage field when a young roe burst out of the hedge , quick check with bins revealed a spiker . Up on sticks watching him bound off but he stopped for that fatal look back at around 120 yds and that was him in the bag ? Now there a few fields cut so I will hang about til dark and see if any ? are about.5 points

When people state that greyhounds are not bright I often wonder what tasks they have been given to do and are found to be mentally deficient? Of course such fast, powerful and determined hounds are not ideal for many tasks in the field when a slower, but quick enough and less driven, but driven enough dog will catch and be more suitable than a pure greyhound. But that's nothing to do with a dog's IQ. Even said, coursing greyhounds would sometimes learn to anticipate a hares movement or hold back and let their "opponent" do the pressing but make the kill. Not a desired trait in a coursing greyh4 points

We are all free to do as we please fellah....? IF you take your valuable lurchers, dirt dogs and ferrets to a Hamster and Budgie Vet,...its often going to be,.. a wasted exercise,...fecking costly as well...? This is why , many of us try to seek out a Greyhound or Running Dog Vet,...and also look for a modern , forward thinking Surgery, that is sympathetic and knowledgeable about Ferrets, and understands the essential work that they do. We have all had our fingers burnt, and it isn't nice...?4 points

I’ve never tried laser, the doctor was going to sent me to a dermatologist for steroid injections but the Xemacort and Clobaderm cleared it up after a couple of weeks, I’ve used Bentovate they all work for a bit then I have to change, my doctor will only prescribe ointments now because he said creams soak into the skin where an ointment is like vasoline and keeps it on the surface where it’s needed just for a laugh this is my right foot 7 months ago ? and now after steroid ointments, just with a bit of scaring ?3 points

I suffer from it, psoriasis and eczema are two different things, psoriasis is an immune system fault where the body produces too many skin cells, mine is pretty much under control at the minute with just a little bit on my hand and my feet, when I had the covid vaccine it sent mine mental, a doctor thought that the vaccine sent my immune system into overdrive, I’ve still got pictures of my feet I had to send to the doctor because they couldn’t see me because of the bat flu on my phone that would put you off your tea, I have to be careful what I use to get washed, moisturise like a woman and if3 points

We had a big Welsh contingent in Saudi, from B.A. In Cardiff, and I remember one of their wives on her first day on the beach at the Red Sea. She said " if you close your eyes you would think you were in Barry Island" You can take the girl out of Wales.......but you can't take Wales out of the girl !!! ??? !!! Cheers.3 points

Would you trust the average British PC with a glock mate?, seriously ? I wouldn’t, not unless there was a fundamental change in the type of person they recruit and the ethos of that service ! Nah, sitting behind a speed camera or standing on a check point nicking builders for a broken tail light is about their level…….leave guns to specialist officers in the U.K. imho3 points

Take Dido up on his offer and get yourselves up there mate. Something else it is. I had a day with E&E few years back. The meet was at Little Langdale.. stunning place, one of quieter parts of the Lakes. I didn't get to speak to Edmund, i was cutting it fine time wise and they set off whilst i was putting my clobber on. The followers were sound though.. once they've sussed you out.. whch didn't take much doing really. Just introduced myself and land a few ice-brakers.. job done.2 points

Quick walk around with the hmr resulted in a Maggie. Immensely satisfying! Then it was pesting work on rabbits and private dwellings/small holdings. The WaltherTerrus is much better after the trigger job. Five rabbits, two crows. One crow at 60 and one rabbit over 50, all off hand.2 points
