  1. True story, I knew a lad lived in a flat who had a bedroom for his horticultural interests, I phoned him when he was at home and said "Mate, make sure your extraction is on point, the bizzies are flying thermal drones around your estate looking for heat signatures" he was like "Oh f**k" ? I took my drone and hovered it in front of his living room window 3 stories up, two minutes later I got a really panicked phone call as he hid behind his sofa telling me they were onto him ????

  6. Lads, all Nobel aims and excellent work but I just don’t see it……except at places, like game fairs, where people who like that stuff are going anyway ! Its absolutely useless standing on a stand or whatever at a game fair preaching to the converted !……it’s people who wouldn’t go to a game fair in their life you need to reach ! This is why the big organisations need to be out in mainstream media…..so f***ing what if they had stands at 4 million game fairs, complete waste of time. Its majority non hunting public that vote and politicians will do whatever they think will appeal to

  9. Totally agree and I've had that conversation for years with them. But I can honestly say that without the ca there would be no packs of hounds in the UK at all and the attention would all now be on shooting and that would collapse quicker than hunting has given the same pressure. I would always answer any criticism of the organisations with the counter claim of when did you volunteer at any event to promote fieldsports, go speak to mps or write to the media. I agree but the battle is being lost due to 99.9% of fieldsports participants doing nothing g not because 0.1 did the wrong thing.

  10. I've put off commenting on these types of thread for a long time as my entire life has been involved with the thankless task of trying to defend Country sports and arguing with people on here just wasn't worth my effort. The long and short of it is almost every single country sport participant has let us, our way of life and our kids inheritance down through lazyness and lack of action. The countryside has changed and what we do have needed to do and will continue to need to do is present ourselves in more acceptable ways. Every single one of us must make sure that we and our activ

  18. Mate, every single thing you say makes perfect sense. However, you know and I know and everyone knows….that’s not how the British people are any more. In layman’s terms, we are a f***ing joke. I always bring the “fighting for country sports” argument back down to one simple question : When did you last see a campaign by a country sports organisation in mainstream Media ? An add on the telly ?, A full page in a national newspaper ? Social Media ? Ill tell you when, never !……too busy preaching to the already converted in order to extract that years membership fees out of

I put a topic up few weeks back about an encounter with a golfer, telling me to get of the green, I wasn't even on the green, I was on the public walkway, bit of a slanging match occurred, and I ended up doing him a mooney, in which he apparantley took a picture of me on his phone, and then being escorted of the green by the keeper and his mates, anyhow thought id show my face this afternoon, been on about 10mins, when this buggy pulled up beside me with 3 blokes , head of security was one of em, told me in no certain terms am Im never ever allowed with my dogs back on the golf course, we had

  28. 100% agree. This isn’t about being transphobic, it’s about being sensible. I believe some people deeply feel they are the wrong biological sex. I also believe gender and sex are different. Gender might be fluid, but sex isn’t. You can’t change your biological sex. Imo it’s a fundamentally and logically messed up subject and it’s damaging people and children because of an ideology. Which in itself might well be of good intention but is mislead and damaging.

  29. Being serious for a minute I've no doubt gender dysphoria is a real mental illness and I'm sure it's shit for those suffering with it. It's the "treatment" that is f***ing bonkers and actually does more harm than good when you look at things like suicide rates etc. We don't just cut the limbs off folk with body dysmorphia do we, we treat the underlying mental illness.

  30. As nicepix says it's called a flasher and is just a fishfinder / sonar . Bit tough to explain them but instead of displaying the water column as a scrolling chart, it show as a circle or clock face with the depths shown round the edge. When a fish comes under you it shows as a line in the circle at the depth it's at. Bit tough to explain them but lots of info on youtube under ice fishing flashers. Here is a picture of my fishfinder set up in flasher ice mode / screen, might make it a bit clearer, but the depth shows 0ft and 3.7 degrees as it was in my garage lol. And agree Sasha looks alright

  32. Call it what it is (at least to 90% of us with dog, rod or gun). it’s a sport and the sport of kings ? I, and most others, don’t leave the house to dig quarry or go out for a shine and run vermin/game to carry out pest control for landowners. I go out for sport. The conservation benefit of doing so is simply the positive effect country pursuits have on the environment as a whole. Id rather go down with the sinking ship head held high calling it what it is, with honesty and integrity, than give those c**ts and inch that haven’t the slightest clue how this enviro

  33. Do you have a vagina? A woman home alone, answers a knock on the door to a man who just stood there and asked, "Do you have a vagina?" She slams the door in disgust and tells her husband that night when he got home from work. The next morning she answers a knock on the door. Its the same man and he asks the same question. "Do you have a vagina?" Once again she slams the door. She immediately gets on the phone and rings her husband at work. He tells her he will take the day off tomorrow just in case the man shows up a third time. The next morning they hear a knock at the d

  39. It is not a case of slinking around with a lurcher in this neck of the woods you would catch very little. You need a ferret at least so then you have a bag of nets, a spade and box of ferrets. Hardly not noticeable then if they fine farmers for letting you on then that is out the window so it suddenly gets a bit tricky to say the least plus every tom dick and harry watching your every move. The days when you could walk five miles and never leave cover are long gone. Your tripping over eco warriors with there little sheds and solar panels plus bloody caravans tucked away every where.
