  13. Day 3 over and done with, it was one of the best days we’ve had ( so all the messages are saying), drive number one was the usual tip drive, from the off the birds were getting up over the guns at a good height and continued to get up right til the very end of the drive, drive two, Gordon’s pen, now although this drive is next to the tip drive and we knew some birds would of moved out from it, there was still a good show and the guns that were down on the forestry track had some very high fast birds over them. Now time for elevenses, soup, sausages with red onions, chocolate cakes and sloe gin

  15. Went out to clear a fallen tree today and had to take some webbing straps off the back of the pick up. I found 12 Queens all very still and in hibernation on and under the straps. Put them all in a bucket with some dried leaves in and covered them with the same. They are under cover now so hopefully they'll make it to next year and build some nests. One of these Queens could be a pay check for me next year.

  16. A long time ago (2000 I think) when I got my first three ferrets, I hadn't built a court for them yet so housed them indoors temporarily. I kept them in a large dog crate and then let them out for a "run-around" whenever I was home. They'd return to the crate to use a corner pan which I put in there as their latrine. I'd sometimes find them curled up asleep under cushions on the sofa and other odd places. It's funny to look back on now but I wouldn't do it again...I was single at the time so nobody with more class than I to complain about the eau de ferret.

  17. Lewis Hamilton was interviewed on tv today ahead of the Saudi Gran Prix. He slagged the Saudi regime for their treatment of homosexual's, but he's still taking part. He will wear a rainbow coloured helmet to show his support of gays ! That'll teach the Saudis , eh ? Now it's being reported that his team are being sponsored by Kingspan, the company responsible for the flammable cladding on Grenfell Tower. He will wear coveralls and race in a car emblazoned with their name......... Hipocritical little shitweasle. Cheers.

  18. Sure, I was watching them interact in a stream one very snowy day as I waited for a fox to turn up. They were only a few yards away. They were chasing each other around and would flick their tails to flash the cream white feathers similar to how an alarmed moorhen does. It changed how I see them now. Meatloaf is simple. Food blender. Cleaned meat, a little amount of onion, black pepper, salt and a slice of bread. A little olive oil. Press the button until it is all a paste. Put in an earthenware or tin and bake for about 40 minutes. Add other ingredients if you

  33. I love seeing all these pics of bushing dogs. Load of character. I used to have great fun back in the day. The jr in this pic was my best ever ferreting dog. In this neck of the woods we have loads of cover and you get easy holes around the edge that never hold any thing. But the amount of times he would thrash the cover and the old bunny would go to ground in them nice easy holes. He put a lot away and once he go on the line that was pretty much game over. He never went to ground on rabbits but was just as happy 8 feet down duking it out with other stuff Great to see people
