  9. Jean-Claude Drunkers was furious with Camamoron for allowing the Referendum. He publicly stated that he shouldn't have allowed them (us) to vote. Democracy is not what the EU is all about. The way the EU works is to trap small countries by offering them money in the form of subsidies and loans. But to get that money the small country has to sign up to EU rules which include trade barriers with non-EU countries. So whereas Bulgaria and other poor countries would usually buy cheap Russian tractors once they were in the EU they couldn't. They had to buy the more expensive French and German tracto

  10. That's what they would like us to think now, but it was originally the European Coal And Steel Community, simply a trade agreement to stop them undercutting each other. With each new treaty came more members and more trade agreements, eventually leading to the single market, customs union, schengen agreement and the euro and European Central Bank. It was all about trade, if it had anything to do with wars, why did Degaul veto the U.K. from joining, twice ? After all the UK was one of the victors in ww2, and still one of the most powerful nations on the earth, who better to guarantee

  21. I was up and out this morning having a bit rake about in some local spots with the old dog and the youngster. The old lakey let's you know if anything is home, dropped him in a 2 holer and sat back. After a bit baying and bumping and banging out came charlie. Off she went for another day, back in the house for 08:45.

If he does manage to overturn the result it will be to seize the power back, not to prove any sort of election fraud. It isn't to check and balance it's to disenfranchise millions of voters. Essentially the people that are funding this laughable farce. He's had all the legal channels to challenge the result, and he's well within his rights to pursue that. He has not been able to produce any evidence to the l

  31. I would second the comment about making your own catty and finding a fork width that suits you. I've bought about 10 different frames with widths from 75mm to 95mm over the last 3 years and was a halfway decent shot. A couple months ago I made myself a natty fork with 110mm outer width and it just suits my natural anchor point and aiming reference perfectly and effortlessley to the point I can do 'trick' shots on coins etc. I would have saved myself some £££ if I'd just experimented with some natural forks at the beginning of my catapult journey.

  37. Well done, your getting onto them now ? I was out on some new ground after a deer or two and saw 7 foxes in less than 2 hours, I wasn’t after them but one ambled across the field in front of me brazen as you like, 81 yards it stopped to look at me, that was a mistake. Am thinking I would like to get the numbers down on this ground, so may put in some effort over the next week or two.

  38. I would recommend the d max . Had one for about 5 yrs now. No trouble at all with it and nice to drive. And classed as a commercial so get it through the business. Enjoy the new ground mate . I d keep it to myself and say nothing to nobody . Took someone I thought I could trust to some good permission that took some getting on with similar rules . They went back on the deer and caused me loads of hassle. Sadly after all these years the people I would trust with ground etc I can count on one hand

My old man would often say "do you know people down here don't appreciate were we they live". So so true, but I do and am very thankful. Few more mate, Sheep where I parked up. Then the beaters just setting off, watched for that drive opposite side of the valley. the last one is similar to one of the first ones, Just below the two tracks in the foreground is a lovely ground borrow right out in the open, just love doing it.

  43. I have always thought that membership of the EU was less beneficial to the UK that to other countries. My reasons may be dismissed as naive or irrelevant in the 21st century and probably no doubt xenophobic to those who disagree. Basically we are unique as an European country that was an EU member. It cannot be disputed that we are an island. The R.O.I position being complicated by N.I. and Iceland is officially a non-EU state. One of the fundamentals of EU foundation was to prevent future wars in Europe in the aftermath of WW2. I can well see the importance of this to other countries wh

  45. I've got two Mitchell Match reels, both blue and in very good nick. They get an outing every now and then. Also got a Mitchell Half-Bail, the type Richard Walker used to catch the record carp, and a 1955/6 model with full bail. Also a 300 and ABU 506 bought with my paper round and Saturday job money. A few more centrepins too.... A 1940's /50' Arerial Popular This one is unique. It was made in 1912 probably as a prototype by a reel maker who left Hardys and struck up shop on his own.
