  1. Well guys, as much as I love shooting and everything that comes with it .... it is taking up too much of my time. I am struggling to keep up with the everyday basics of cleaning and maintaining my home, so something has to give. I will be getting rid of my collection. Below is a list of what is available, serious enquiries only and please do not insult me with low offers. Thank you for reading and understanding

  4. Went back up to the woods for a few hours today to have another crack at the squirrels over the beech nuts as I was back at the farm doing a few jobs for my mate. Not much sign of life when I first got there as it was heavy overcast and light drizzle so I got set up under a big tree to keep dry and waited. After about 20 minutes the sky brightened up and the drizzle stopped and that was when the action kicked off. Managed about an hour and a half of decent action before the grey clouds came over again and they all disappeared back down their hide holes. Ended up with seven again ( lucky 7 ) sa

  5. The worst of it all, imho, is that wrong is the new normal ! Every type of weirdness has been embraced and promoted. Responsibility has been replaced with excuses and an army of no win, no fee vultures ready to capitalise on the fact. Lives and careers are ruined on a daily basis with nothing more than accusations and name calling You can’t have an opinion that anyone finds abhorrent and there certainly won’t be anyone looking to debate to change your mind......more likely scream abuse at you and hound you out of a job or the police will come round an arrest you ! 7. and the 80's too sandymere don't forget?!! Wish i had photos of our bobbery pack from back in the day. We used to knock about on Chatsworth/ Welbeck estates.. and our full team consisted of 7 mutts. From top draw lurchers 27" collie/grey x deer/ grey... labs.. to mongeralised terriers. Anyway. I've nothing but admiration for pure greys. What an athlete.. and a picture to look at... pure eye candy to any dog man. I've seen a fair few carried off the coursing fields in deepest Norfolk though.. mostly on heavy ground/ deep sandy plough. A canine exercet missile

  8. This pic is what rabbiting is about for me. Was supposed to clear a load of bunnies off but my two kids have been giving it the biggun saying those two would catch more bunnies than me and my Mrs going out for an hour with a long net each. My daughter is the best rabbiting partner I have ever had she has been out everywhere with me from a very young age so she knows her stuff but on the other hand my Mrs means well but always manages to mess stuff up lol so we are having a little wager so whoever catches the most bunnies in an hour so if the kids win they get 50 quid each but if we win we

  9. Today was ruined partially by a dentist appointment this morning so I got stuck into leaf blowing and sweeping, then the bird feeders needed doing. The morning was dry but rain was forecasted for the afternoon. Undeterred I grabbed the .45 smoothrifle ( long rifles in the early states were also offered as smoothbores and commonly called smoothrifles due to them retaining sights). We soon flushed a bird or two but one gave a simple shot at nearly thirty steps. The 3/4oz of #5 downed it, the dog pegged it and I ended it. We got a woody, a squirrel and a winged verm

  13. Well it’s day three tomorrow so I’ve been up this morning for a bit of hand feeding around the drives to be shot tomorrow, they are about in good numbers and with this cold weather we have had the birds have come good and are looking very strong, one thing that will need to be addressed over the season and after is the squirrel problem, I have never seen this amount up here, I stopped off in the yard and counted 11 around 2 trees, so everyone will be told tomorrow if you see them, shoot them, the weather is looking terrible for tomorrow, much the same as the first day with the forecast saying

Only someone who has done f**k all for themselves and works in the public sector would think that was any type of story.......the Guardian certainly know who their readers are just like the Mail does. The bloke has done absolutely f**k all wrong except have a go at making a business, “illegal dividend”.......if it’s so f***ing illegal why haven’t they nicked him ? Frankly I’m surprised any firm gets off the ground and employs people given the swathe of regulation that Guardian readers would have them weighted down by.........that bloke created wages and employment for families for wh

Hardly running scared, the left wing politics has had its day, it’s over, joe public sees them for what they are, a bunch of unwashed hippies that want no law and order or control where anything goes that’s left wing, even with double voting cheats they still lost the brexit votes, they need wiping out for good and anti terror laws put in place to stop they’re militant violent acts on anybody who does not agree with they’re ways. I don’t think boris is any better myself, but he’s better than the wankstain Corbyn.

  19. I think legal coursing, on land that you have permission on is the best sport around, and most easily defended. Unfortunately we are all under the spot light and anything we do is exaggerated by the antis, to get stricter controls, and by the media to sell papers. Unfortunately the idiots affect us all in exaggerated ways. Coursing and running dogs have a larger percentage of idiots than any other fieldsports. If coursing simply consisted of quiet countrymen doing their thing on land they have permission on then the media wouldn't know they existed. Unfortunately the nob heads hav

I've seen a pair of very feral dogs in the Blue Mountains national park trying to kill a stray bull terrier, they resembled wolves, were grey, big with a shaggy coat, nothing like a dingo or feral dog.I think they were many generations feral, living in remote bushland.Chickens do revert back to jungle fowl in looks and behaviour as I used to catch these as a kid on an old abandoned property, the place was unlived in for over 100 years and the chickens had survived living in giant stands of bamboo, they flew like pigeons almost.

A fine way to spend a bit of time before the rain sets in, I love the pictures you take, I don’t mean this to sound like I’m calling you old but they remind me of simpler times when people went out to feed themselves, friends and family, no night vision, thermal or any other gadgets, just a simple gun and an understanding of your environment, I’m glad I’m old enough to remember these days, even though I was just a lad ?

  27. Strangely enough I watched the Farage interview last night and unlike the other politicians he didn't dodge one question. Not only that, he fully explained all his ideas. Whereas Corbyn just repeated the same non-committal statement over and over again when asked on his views on Brexit. The only two politicians that I would believe without hesitation are Farage and JRM. Neither tell lies and both will admit to any mistakes that they might have made or said. Which is why Labour are so afraid of them.

  30. Right, where to even start !...... So, the character assignation on Farage....... Shall we talk about the Labour Party senior women MPs and their union baron husbands who worked for the organisation now know as Liberty back in the early 80s who were advocation on behalf of PIE ? In case you forget, PIE stood for Peadophile Information Exchange and were making exactly the same case as homosexuals that they were born that way and should be allowed to have sex with very young children!......shall we talk about that? Would you vote for those women if they stood as the labour c

Well ive gone and done it lads, I had a 9 30 am appointment at my place yesterday, with the head housing officer and duggie mac, the reason for duggie macs presence was because, they are supporting me with getting back into society, plus financial matters, because of my stroke, and me being in hospital, I even kept the poor lady waiting up at the morgue, and overpaid benefits still were kept being paid into our account, anyway lads, thing is, Aspire housing, asked me . were I wanna go, ive given em 4 areas, but I made it quite clear, im going nowhere if I cant have this little fella join me, a

I’ll start with an apology to anyone I’ve offended as of late I’ve been a bit brusque lately and I’m sorry for any offence I’ve caused I don’t really know what I’m doing writing this here in a forum of public strangers but I suppose this is the closest thing I have to social media and access to a group of people I share viewpoints with. Today I may have shot myself in the foot, I was due to start a degree level course in January, something that is feted and grabbed for in my line of work. It’s two years long and Would mean I’d be hanging up the tools I’ve used for over a decade fo

Every turn ya make leading to f***ing nowhere and just sapping you’re faith that eventually it’ll all fall into place. All these motivational speakers and inspirational quotes all have caveats and certainly ain’t guidance if ya mind works different to the ones spouting it. f**k I don’t know, I just try to have faith that one day the last few pieces fit and the puzzle starts to take shape. Hopefully yours is doing for you.
