A friend of mine asked if I could refurbish his s type rapid stock and as he has had a hard time in life I couldn't/wouldn't let him down . My mate Pav serviced it for him free of charge (good man alan) 1st pic is it sanded down and after several coats of Danish oil and a sanding between coats I'm pleased with the result . So it will be back in his possession at weekend

Pups had his 1st rabbit on the lamp tonight 2nd time out took him Sunday and ran 2 but he missed them so I didn't want to break his heart so come home so tonight when again missed the 1st 1 but ran it very well 2nd rabbit was sitting about 20 yards away I shined the lamp on him and he pulled to run up the beam so I let him go so he ran to the end of the beam worked that out on his 4th ever run when he got near it off the rabbit went to the headge over the ditch it went in the headge followed by the dog not stopping for no cover pushed it back out across the field to another ditch it the ditch

So, here's what actually happened...…………………. We had a hunt route pretty well mapped out but were concerned about the fox welfare and complying with the Act. We knew fox lived on the route but didn't know if he was home, so sent a team to investigate, They found he was home, and in a bid to protect him he was removed and set free before the hounds arrived. We left the team in the area just in case the fox wanted to return immediately or the dogs got bogged down in the area. It was a great hunt, everyone enjoyed themselves and no foxes were hurt in the process! Just saying!

If a hunter dumped a body like that they would be prosecuted, humane or not and a video would be released by the same organisation about how heartless and cruel they were to dispose of it. For disease control that animal would be taken to an animal disposal yard for incineration if it was a competent professional handling it. Who dumps a carcass in an area where kids are playing. A farmer would also be prosecuted if he done that with one of his livestock.

I’ve seen poor earth dogs be fox killers in bales, artificials etc as I think they feel more comfortable in the open air than underground in pitch blackness and in the fox’s proper home.
