Well after all the festivities, I decided to hit the woods with my .177 fx wildcat hopefully to bag a squirrel or two . Got to the woods at just gone 8am and me and the dog settled in beside an old oak tree overlooking a few ivy clad beech trees . Digging out the squirrel call and giving a few blasts on that eventually a nice size buck squirrel came into view , the dog spotted it first though ! He loves them . Had a good 45 mins tonight at the splash and it was mostly teal that come in... only one mallard came in and I dropped it .. dropped 4 teal but could only find 3 as I don't use a dog .. just to say that them teal are bloody hard birds to shoot at near dark ... but had a good time ... all hard work pays off.. starting to get a pattern of when there mostly on the splash due to my trial cam ..
