There more southern folk up north and getting more every year. The south is full of the tribes. I'd not live there if they paid me. As for subsidised lol The rest of the UK has sent the wealth down there where it has stayed.7 points

f**k sake do people really want to live north of bristol.??? What a dump inhabited with the most common of scum and us southerners have to subsidise them because there's f**k all industry up there. No wonder there flocking south but please stay where you are.6 points

Blue is a cracking dog, I've watched him progress from 8 weeks old, for me he is a proper alrounder...can rabbit in every discipline...Will work day and night and switch from ranging out on the hills to walking at heel when required...but.....he's cursed, we were only taking the piss the night before about him always being injured..the very next day this happened...these aren't injuries due to poor breeding, poor dog..just bad luck....in this instance because of a bunch of morons ruining one of our national parks ffs!! Mate, you know the right dog will come along, you're captain sensible5 points

Goes round and round this. Fury was very good against wilder Fury is technically quite good, and very awkward to fight. Fury does not punch his weight. Wilder can bang It was unbelievable the way fury got off the canvas, and then took the fight back to Wilder Fury is no way the best boxer since Ali The 3 current top boxers in the heavies should all fight each other over the next 18 months or so. All 3 are a danger to each other, it would be a brave man to stick a load of money on any of the them in a head to head. In 3 or 4 years one of these fighte4 points

Acquired some of the above today and went rabbiting tonight. Man I couldn't shoot tonight, a blustery wind, cold too and my brain and trigger finger had lost all connections! I missed several, fluked a couple then pulled myself together! The Winnie subs shot to zero at 50yds with a good group shot off hand and proceeded (eventually) fill the bag for an order of six. Beautiful rabbits in thick lush winter coats. I have to say, so far this Brno shoots anything it stuffs in its chamber! Jess behaved and was rewarded when the bag was full with a run at a squatter. Just a thought but the area where I hunt has been void of rabbits for 20 years. It used to be well populated and suitable terrain so the ground should be completely disease free. I know that in certain fields rabbits thrive but go 2 fields across and they just don't like that ground. My point is that my father , grandfather and great grandfather hunted the same bogland and it was a poor area only for bord Na mona hiring people for turf , money was tight and my grandad reared 12 kids on game. What is the legality of let's say releasing 100 ferreted or lurcher caught disease free rabbits on this3 points

I own this picture. It is what made the original pitdog. These dogs came over with their owners from England and Ireland.15 years ago I was introduced to a few houndsmen, one from England and one from Ireland both of which asked for a good bull to cross to their lurchers. They had moved here to work coyote packs for rich folks because of laws in their countries.I gifted them one and laughed and said y'all had these dogs first. Growing up as a kid I watched bulldog men ship dogs to other countries and laugh and say they will never have what we got.Now Americans are bringing those dogs back 30 year3 points

Just a nice, lazy stroll around one of the farms this morning. To windy today for my usual air gun hunting so took the 687 Sporter 12`s out. Beautiful corvid the Jay but a right menace this last year on this farm but finally i am in charge of their numbers now as i am with the Magpies and grey squirrels. The game bird numbers are getting far, far better. atb Mark.3 points

Fine rifle the BRNO 22's. Anyway for what it's worth, I zero Subs at 50 yards, which roughly is 3" holdover @ 100 yards, and 'happy days' HV are just about spot on the zero point at 100yards. AF3 points

If you could make up a boxedbed something with walls and a top, small enough so its slightly uncomfortable for him to stand up but snug enough to sleep in. This should sort the problem. Judge the size and dimensions to suit the size of your dog.3 points

As above, for general work 50-60 yards. If you only have one piece of land and sit in the same place all the time and your quarry is consistently 62 yards away (For example) zero at 62 yards!3 points

Similar to Forest of Dean Redneck: I occasionally get annoyed that there are no rabbits near me for my dogs but, as the only reason I hunt is to give the dogs a job rather than because I have to reduce a particular population, I've just tried to accept the switch to squirrels, rats and wood pigeons and the occasional rabbit (usually on Dartmoor holidays) is a bonus. They seem to enjoy the mammoth hikes looking for stuff as much as actually catching it.3 points

All this talk of a bad brexit deal doesn't matter. The French will leave soon leaving Germany to hold the fort on their own. Which means any deal put forward now will not mean shit coz the French will barter a better deal which we can jump on. Then Germany will have few options, either keep funding the lesser eu states, f**k the the whole thing off or, which I think is most likely start a war, bullying the dependants into siding with them for their subsidies3 points

Rebel was a good 3/4 dog born early 70s but a brute of a dog by all accounts.Tom bred him to a greyhound bitch in 80s he had a good litter of 7/8 from this mating Chalky,Toney,Ted etc. Tom looked to bring in fresh blood/outcross in 90s as his dogs were up in age so he bought in a dog pup (Jed) and then a bitch pup came from AW (Laila). Jed went over a Greyhound bitch and Laila was bred to Chalky. Pups from both litters he kept back were turning out well but some had disappeared and then Toms mates where running Laila one night to bring there young dogs on when some toff shot her. Laila was the3 points

You say the pics turn your stomach , but it’s pest control , if they didn’t do it , the farmer would get someone in who would it’s sheep grazing after all. To be honest I think the rabbit is doomed if I was getting back into dogwork I would be getting a whippet or terrier or terrier/beagle type an looking at rat or squirrel hunting an if a rabbit or pheasant etc was caught would be a bonus . Due to work an living arrangements an air rifle suits me better an I can get pheasants for free atm. an before I get jumped on there are my own opinions which are like arseholes every3 points

Properly put and straight to the point for all of us here Jimmy. Alas, the RSPCA and sections of the public are ignorant of the care and concern for shooting in a humane and highly responsible, professional manner, those of us who make up most of the active air rifle shooting community conduct our sport by. It's all too easy to blame an airgun shooter for acts of cruelty like this. So we get the blame. The trouble is, there are morons out there who can, just as easily as we can, buy any airgun on a whim to cause trouble with it. And we get tarred with the same brush. The3 points

In 1904 the Kruger National Park ranger Harry Wolhuter had been attacked by two lions, one chasing after his horse, the other grabbed him at his shoulder, draggin him into the bush. Harry stabbed the lion to death with his sheath knife, a butcher type knife by Williams & Smithfield - London". I tried to recreate a knife, similar to the original, but with slabs from kudu horn and a thicker blade stock. Here the original. Regards Nicolas2 points

After being house bound last weekend today we got out, with the wind last night things didn’t look too promising as we made our way to our chosen spot for today’s outing, I went up my mate carried on, as I came over the top 4 bunnies abliged and dropped into a nice size Warren, Nell confermed it with a strong mark, fighting against the wind I got 100yrds of net round and 2 albino sisters were soon in action 2 bunnies made a hasty exit then another 3 joined them on the game carrier, I hadn’t finished picking my net up when Nell was marking another Warren just above me, I got another 4 from ther2 points
