  5. Lads I’m looking for a bitch to cover with this dog as he’s pushing on now and need pups down off him. This dog has over 300 foxes under his belt and has killed 5s and 6s a night, lots can vouch for him and can be seen working. He will not be going over any old shite and only looking for one mating not covering half the country I won’t even reply so don’t bother. I will be looking a pup back and see videos of the bitch going, dog is collie bull grey. I’m after a bigger type of bitch in the hope of big strong running dogs. Well proven dog with serious breeding behind him. lots of lads know him

  23. There was a plan to re-route an A road that had two options. The first would go over a golf course. The second was planned to go over where I went shooting. The golf club hired a lawyer to oppose the plans. 'A friend' relocated some crested newts from a pond near to his house 12 miles away into a little pond that was on our shoot and right on the route of the road. Then 'discovered' and publicised the newt's location. The road never got built. Sometimes it works.

  24. These days, wild life study’s are normally the pre curser to a housing development……they don’t actually care about the wild life, it’s just a box tick to say they did it. I ran across two dudes one night on a bit of my permission years back, so I asked what they were up to and they said “Wild life study” as there was a proposed housing estate. ”We are looking for newts etc” So I said, never mind the newts what about the badger setts ? Theres one over there, one over there and a massive one that must be 50 years old just on the crest of that rise, runs right along that hedge

Insanely fast and easily capable of taking daytime hare, downside is they break easily and most lack the stamina for more than a couple of decent runs. Upside is youll not get better for the exciting runs. Cheers.

  29. Out with dugs this morning, Some auld boy: “Is it a whippet?” Me: ”nah” (Before I could tell him) Auld boy: “greyhound?” Me: “Naw…. She’s a lurcher” Auld boy: “aw right, aye”……. (15 second pause) Auld boy: “pure?” Me: ??…….. “Aye mate” Thought about waiting till he said “doesn’t look like a lurcher” and then educating him but sensible got the better of me so I climbed a fence and f****d off through a field.

  34. You have to ask why there wasn't one policeman who said " hold on ! This is absolute bollocks, sending six policemen to arrest an old soldier for re-tweeting an image that is only offensive to a tiny minority of people, who are constantly offended at everything ?". And what the f**k is a "non-crime hate offence" ? It sounds like something out of Orwell's 1984 or something by Kafka ! Cheers.

  35. I haven’t watched live television, beyond about one program a year maybe, for years. When I stay at mates and the box is ticking over I find it fascinating how bizarre ‘normal’ tv is. If there was ever a blackout, the establishment would be f****d.

Can't shoot rooks in wales now with out applying for a licence. The skies around here are black with them. Have to keep bedroom window shut cause in the morning the sound is deafening The people making these decisions are an absolute bunch of clueless morons. How they get dressed in the morning I dont know

  41. The trouble is, those choices are usually like yours and mine which is to pack up and feck off while the going is good, leaving more and more of the dross to condense and concentrate, as a young man you stand and fight but as the baggage grows you have to take what’s best for you and yours to a place you hope you can flourish and prosper, this is a multi generational problem and we only have one lifetime, which ain’t long enough to fix it ?

  42. Allways massaged and stretched the whippets and greyhounds before a race. I'm convinced that most of the muscle injuries non-ped whippets suffer, especially dropped gracillis, are a result of being raced with the only warming up being the walk from the car to the traps ! With the lurchers, I usually walk a fair distance to where they will run, either from home or from where I've parked the motor, so they are usually warmed up, but a rub down with a rough towel, before and after racing or working does more good than harm ! ? Cheers.
