This pair nest on the railway viaduct not far from me, they've raised young for the last 3 year in this nest, fantastic birds to watch. I remember a good mate of mine got filmed and prosecuted by that cnut Roger Cook fir taking eggs lol, he came up to the scheme that we lived in dressed as an Arab wanting to buy peregrines ??7 points

Seeing as it was a dry day i thought i would take the opportunity to try some steel cartridges on the pigeons. These cartridges are loaded just down the road from me and the company is called Empire. I have been using their lead cartridges for a couple of years but decided to try their steel out. They are 29grm 5s and in a clear case. Because it is steel (which is copper coated) you get twice as much shot as lead. The birds weren't feeding on the stubble but it doesn't matter at this place because there are a couple of decent flight lines and if you set up decoys there is a good chance of pull7 points

I've been a grafter since my days in the womb, I expect every man and his dog to put 100% effort when they work in my team. Go hard or go home!6 points

I always agree with most of your posts, but not on this. Ask someone who is purposely causing an obstruction to move, if not sit and wait? ? What if they were blocking a hunt kennels or a slaughterhouse? Because you can be sure these are the same people who would do just that. I understand your principles but I judge everyone on if I believe them to be a cnut or not., these people definitely are cnuts. If they want to save the planet why not spend their time protesting against importing useless Chinese shite or supporting British farmers in producing low mileage food.5 points

Yeah, I never understood it really. Everyone bangs on about plastic, single use plastic, recycle, recycle and recycle the recycled. Choked birds, micro plastic in sea life. Plastic burning, very nasty. Its bad stuff so ban it. Oh, hang on err it's a by product from oil, oh year like diesel is from making petrol. That's it. Petrol is good diesel is bad. So err what we going to do with the diesel and err for that matter plastic? Pretend it's not produced? No no, we have plans for it but it's top secret shhhhh. Shhhhhh, don't mention the fact diesel and plastic production doe4 points

i think a prison/mental health hospital is the most unusual....its a paying contract thats done every year.....the rabbits caused a huge amount of damage in underground ducts chewing fiber optic cables that ended up getting replaced......i cant remember the exact amount in money....but it was something like 100 grands worth.... its a huge place encircled with two of them 20 foot fences you cant climb.....then inside this its dissected in to about 20-30 smaller compounds that all have this fencing round...its mainly concreate ...but there are flower beds bushes and small bits of grass....3 points

Just had a quick look at them - only thing that put me off is do they only come in plastic wad? IMO plastic wad is worse for countryside/environment than lead shot.3 points

Went again tonight, very warm, could have gone in my Sambas lol mist came in so only got 2 runs, missed the first after a couple of turns that he went shooting past, he'll soon learn as long as I give him the practice but he's half ? looking down the beam now. Second one was a squatter, slipped him at 5 yards, he made hard work of it, ran it into the banking a couple times, he lost sight of it once but he seems to have the burst to catch it up ? caught it well up the hedgeline, brought it back then fooked off when I bent down to take it off him, couple 5 yard circles then he dropped it. A quick trip up to the sheep farm tonight for a go at the rabbits again, I took little Hugo’s dad with me and just one rifle, the .17hmr for some long shots, taking turns to shoot we gave up after 14 as the rain was getting heavier, not a bad hour out, only missing 2, 1 each, he missed his in spectacular fashion, after 8 shot the little fluffy bugger deserved to live ?3 points

There's a pair of peregrines living in the quarry.they raised 2 young this year.been watching them learn to fly and start catching pigeons the last few months.seen many strikes but the pigeon sometimes flys off leaving a load of feathers floating down..often see just a pile of feathers every few days. But they caught 1 today right by the side of the road..First pic he's just below the puddle.second pic zoomed in...after stripping feather and eating a bit and after a struggle to take off about 6 times he managed to carry it up the rock face..2 points

I don’t often shoot these , but he was on the border of the shoot and I haven’t seen him before. So before he disappeared or someone else shot him. He is now in the chiller. I reckon he will medal .2 points

I think it also applies sometimes to getting the best out of folk, how you,or the employer or subby or whatever is deals with people, of course pure lazy bone idleness is going to get f****d off out of it,and if youre not showing the right interest in learning and honing the job then why are you here? You cant get anything out of a dope but attitude toward people goes a long long way in peoples performance and results Ive always done my own thing,to be honest i dont begrudge anybody who works for a company but the idea of working under somebody for me personally gives me the horrors2 points

For me, it depends on the individual - if they're a bit slow to learn but, willing to work hard, I'll put in the effort for them. If they're a blatant piss taker, they can f**k off. Timekeeping is a big thing for me - like Qbgrey said, you turn up early and be ready to start at your start time.2 points

Easy to live with factors into it. Also a full on type won't care if your down the park or in the woods if some gets up its going in. So consider that too2 points
