  2. Hi Chris, given the county that you are intending to work in,..I would think seriously about some kind of whippet based hybrid.? I catch a few rabbits in East and West Sussex, and as you know, it is extremely heavily wooded... Such a terrain can sometimes harbour good amounts of conies,..and the facts are, when you are rabbiting in ditch bottoms, deep old hedgerows. brash, etc, there is no need for a very large jukel...As for keeping your rabbit dog as a family pet,..well, I've always liked my dogs around me , and as long as your chavies are fully aware that it is a dog, and not a t

  3. My last house was built, I reckon, within a few yards of where my first ever lurcher caught her first hare. The house I live in now built on land I played on, hunted, nested, and was chased off of quite a few times as a boy in halcyon days. Funny thing is there are a few mature trees, old hawthorn hedges, and burn courses left, all hidden amongst the housing to remind me. Kind of makes it even sadder. And when I tell my kids “when I was your age, this was all just fields” I hear my late dad’s voice in my head, and realise the sadness he had in his heart when he told me the same about his old s

  6. I took a gamble and it paid off. My logic was I had her as a pup before I had a car and we spent years on foot. So I thought well on foot we would have headed over to such and such for a run. I drove around in the car and was it 3-4 miles across country. Started flashing the lamp around and back at feet as she new that one. Felt I was wasting my time but second field in over in the far corner two eyes flying towards me. Cool as a cucumber flashed me feet once more and waited for the panting. Over the moon was understatement gave the little cow a hug lol Every time I drive tha

I'm also trying to edge him away from the left wing woke bollocks..... ....so I find myself walking down the road with him going "that mon Ower theer ist won of them bluddy theer poofters and that mon ower theer ist a bluddy darkie....." I even I had to laugh at the how daft the situation had got ?

  10. I detest all that utter nonsense they speak, I’m a south London lad and won’t ever exactly get a job on radio 4 doing the shipping forecast but that total rape of the English language should be punishable by death ! All that “innit” and “bruv” and “fiddy” and “wet man up” and all that old bollocks......bunch of retards ! That total drivel they talk in America is the very worst of all.

  12. A nice book in my opinion. Sort of a text book on the development of the whippet from a working man's race dog to a modern popular KC breed but written by people who knew what a whippet should be. Only slight criticism, and I wrote this on another thread, is Colonel Walsh's opinion that a serious ferreter will learn to leave his dog at home. But, I have no doubt that he went to his grave having forgotten more about dogs than I will have learned by the time I go to mine. Lots of great pictures also.

  22. Lol similar again, I'm regularly reminding him 'we'll have f**k all americanism shit in this house'. Again similar, I also tell him things like 'see her over there, lettuce licker', see him over there, arse bandit, he's like 'dad, you can't say that! Whilst he giggles slyly lol. I say 'why not, that's what they are'?! 'Just don't turn out like that, and you'll be fine'. Lol.

  28. Breeding for field and show ? why breed a working dog for a show ring? I used to have a soft spot for a whippet greyhound great little dogs in my eyes. Was my first dog and killed some game with him, but the shit you talk is starting to make me dislike em ? and you do know here in Ireland 99% of greyhounds have great breeding as stud dogs have to have a certain amount of points and to gain points they must win races.. So what will make your first xs better then other first xs bred off the same kaliber greyhound? And money for greyhounds is fairly good at the moment getting good money for OK ti

  29. I was talking to vet yesterday about having hobs snipped and he said he advices clients not to bother as it might make them sick in long run ,he said only safe way is to get them a inplant but this is costly especially if you have several hobs and jill jabs is safest way to go with jills and never herd of one being lost because of jab .once a ferret going down hill it can be over very quickly so his advice was to find a vet who helps local ferret rescue as these vets will have more knowledge than most on ferrets and to get the ferret to them as soon as you see something not right .

I was on a job today and the staff in the office compound found a lurcher nearly 2 months ago.they can’t keep it any longer so if any one is out there looking for a lurcher then pm me pics to see if it’s the same pooch.I won’t be giving any information on here.it’s a friendly lurcher and it would be a shame if it ends up in a dogs home.it’s not microchipped.they’ve tried local dog wardens but nothing has come up so I thought I’d try on here
