All i ever wanted from a dog was one that had decent brain, good feet/ coat good stamina , and fair pace, and bit more grit than a collie x , well for me a 1x gsd x grey fit that bill . he never be for everybody, he dont look like lurcher for a start lol, which suits me more so this day feckin age , when fit he run all night, great temp with people and dogs, a very loyal friendly big powerful dog. he just nice dog to be around that all mate, as said there plenty worse , and plenty better .!

Probably true. Many good dogs out there but do they have to run hares. Probably the best saluki crosses out there would catch 3 out of 3 but wouldn't entertain a fox. Depends on the landscape and legality in whichever country. I run foxes and most less than 300 yards in small fields. Doesn't mean I wouldn't like watching a saluki do what it does but I couldn't justify keeping one.

is it necessary to grade yer dog now for others? i think this is why the dogs get stolen ,if you got a dog thats not up to your standard then you need to decide how to deal with it ,thats a personal decision,all i ask is the dog you keep is an honest capable dog ,that wont show ye up in company ..he doesnt have to be a 5/5 or anything like that ,i like an all rounder.A dog that can take a bit of hardship if its put up to him but thats a steady animal around others and wont act the maggot at the wrong time ,(or any time)its good to have a dog you can throw in the car and know whatever arises h

I do like a keen as mustard little dog. dog's that live for work. I don't like thinkers or dogs that pick their runs. give me a out and out tryer every time.

For me there is one quality that all dogs should have irrespective of what cross they are and that is prey drive. They must have a strong prey drive and want it badly. Nothing more enjoyable than working a dog that has a do or die attitude to the game. It doesn't mean they catch more necessarily, but having a dog that is all or nothing is a joy to watch and hunt with.

They would then with out doubt go after shooting and fishing .This present labour party are a threat to our freedoms what little we have of those in the present .

The breeding and the quality of the owners knowlege . You can't make a average dog exceptional but a bad owner can make a good dog bad seen it many of times seen so many numptys ruin good dogs ! !
