Hope everyone has had a decent season running their dogs ..another one comes to an end & that's about it for my old mongrel Boots too,he's let me know the past 4 or 5 trip's out he's had enough of it all now. He's so crippled he can barely get over a 2 foot high wall nowadays & his vision is almost non existent too. He only has one eye to begin with & although his long distance vision isn't too bad in his 'good' eye he has no close up vision in it,absolutely nothing so even the simplest of tasks are a struggle for him. He's basically blind getting around here in the house &14 points

Cottonmouths and snapping turtles have woke up in my area. The last one is a young cottonmouth. They look like a baby copperhead except the end of the tail.He has a bright yellow tip on the end of his tail. They use this to lure in small bream. When grown it disappears and he will get darker.9 points

The young hound was 8 months old a fortnight ago now, she's coming along ok,as with most pups she has her moments where she can test your patience but it's certainly nothing I've not encountered before. Livestock training has been absolutely excellent, jumping great, retrieving great. She can gallop & I'd say she'll be nice to watch behind some gear come next season.7 points

As with most crosses it really depends on how they’re thrown - with some being more “bull” or “sighthound” forward than others. IME - the phenotypical expression is a pretty good indicator as to how they navigate the world. It’s why I see some more bull forward pups starting “earlier” than some of the more sighthound oriented ones. Just comes down to handler IQ. a few pics of the littermates between 9-10mo showing variation in type. I’d say as a whole - this litter should average 27” but wouldn’t be surprised if that fawn male with the black collar at the bottom gets a bit taller.5 points

Them highways bods get about £27000 a year I’d not sit in Ferrari for that, watching your fat bald work colleague push a stinking double cheese burger down his gullet while farting n burping.then go and risk your life helping some paki who’s got a flat tyre.3 points

Learn to trust the dog mate. They know more than what we do.One of my pet hates has always been blokes trying to send their dogs down holes or encouraging them into cover like they know better than the one with a super sensitive nose on the front of its face.3 points

I was born in 76 Gnash, so to be honest the first heavyweight that grabbed my attention was Tyson, I was 9 or 10 when he beat Berbick and still remember it vividly, watched with my dad and brother...I probably got a decent run of it from 85/86 and through the 90s...but by god that 10 years of the Klitckos was awful, would send a glass eye to sleep...I seriously can't remember many of the fights, perhaps Haye beating Valuev only for sheer novelty factor really though... I watch a lot of old fights on you tube.. Bang on about the light heavyweight division, it's full of real quality fi3 points

i would imaging having these vehicles it covers all aspects of driving, off road on road and winter conditions, also, these vehicles can probably carry more sizeable emergency equipment for motorway use rather than a car sized vehicle...that's my guess at it tho....3 points

Without wishing to patronise you as i have respect for gameness in any dog but you are talking nonsense.....to compare the levels of gameness it takes for a terrier to do combat with an opponent who doesnt even want to be there with an Apbt doing combat with an opponent of equal measure is not only wrong it just shows a lack of understanding for what pure gameness actually is......the dog pictured above with a couple of scratches on its nose,or a Jack Russell under ground even.......those dogs cannot be put into the level of physical conditioning it takes to see real gameness you are doing wha3 points

Just been watching a Dean Macey thing on You tube the Scotland tour. Pretty good actually. They went after common skate near Oban, similar place to where we went couple year back. Unreal, for the normal fisherman I would recommend getting up there for a trip. This for me is the UK equivalent of a massive Ebro cat, Canadian Sturgeon or Thailand Aripayma but affordable. Obviously take a risk with weather but it is so sheltered up there in them bays that you should get our. We went for a few night, couple days fishing, all caught massive fish. My two biggest were 217 and 204.....3 points

They look strong and fast. I had two sister whip/stags that were a great pair and worked well together and were best mates.3 points

See a lot more peregrine's, as a kid was an amazing sight for me, had one dive on our tumbler pigeons once, never connected with any and a few went into a tumble/roll as it dived, no idea if that was just chance or design, but it looked pretty good! Lol Brother lives in Exmouth and is watching a pair of peregrines nesting in the cliff edge there, starting to take pigeons etc back now... Nice sight on the evening dog walk .3 points

Ive always described gameness like the water level in a jar......some quite low,but its there......some so high you dont think it could carry any more.......then very rarely you come across one thats so high it spills over the edge.2 points

Id say the only era that was possibly worse than todays was the 80's.....beyond Holmes at the start and Tyson at the end it was a terrible decade for heavyweight boxing.....i honestly dont know how the division will ever get back to what it was....what most fans miss about classic heavyweight boxing can now be found in the light heavyweight division that contains genuine stars of the sport with well rounded skills and work rate......the heavyweights at world level will always be the showcase pantomime area of the game but most hardcore boxing folk accept its probably the worst division in boxi2 points

Getting to today's office involved a drive down to Scarborough so the Cooper S was sparked up and pointed at the moors. A most enjoyable way to start the working day. Needed to stop for a piss though.2 points

You said that not me.......its all good anyway i wish i did but i just dont really have an eye for things i'll see certain scenarios and try and piece them together like a crime scene and come up with nothing....then i'll ask someone whats the sp and it all makes sense, just experience i suppose......i love the countryside and am always following tracks and footprints the dog just stares at me like " what you doing down there you f****n idiot just follow me "2 points

To truly claim a dog to be as game as another, it must have performed in the same activity and been pushed to the same level of endurance and punishment. To say an E.B.T coping a few scratches on its bugle whilst tackling an opponent half it's size at the end of a dig or in a shore is anywhere near close to the levels of gameness required to take a gamebred bulldog through a long drawn out battle with an opponent of equal size and determination is just silly talk. Your dog may have been as game as any strong dog dropped in at the end of a dig, the jack Russell may be as game as any terrier who2 points

For me, Newcastle have been good value for no other reason than seeing a young English coach do pretty well whilst trying to play nice, proper, front foot football. Stuff like that I like.2 points

Difference is I accept that Howe knows far more about football than I’ll ever know, I’m just a supporter. Slightly off topic, but not by much; yesterday my missus had a chat with Amanda Staveley while she waited for me to pick her up. I was gutted that I did not meet her, but probably just as well as I would have made a fool of myself congratulating her on what her and her partners have done for Newcastle and how she’s running rings around Mike Ashley ! Cheers.2 points
