This afternoon’s outing was a trip up to some land with Longshanx, getting there around 4pm we headed straight for a small wood at the top of a large field where deer were seen grazing yesterday, now this spot is not ideal as it’s very open getting to it. We got to where we thought they would come out into the sheltered area in front of the trees and sat down in the field and waited, after half an hour the plan was to go for a walk as nothing had showed, as I lifted from the ground and glassed along the trees I noticed a deer, then another 2, we were not close enough for a shot so it was hands

It's a bit weird how someone as switched on as putin has launched such a half arsed invasion. Tanks running out of fuel and getting lost....and after 5 days he decides to send a 17 mile long column of armour in. I'm not saying its not happening.....its just all a bit strange. You could do worse than the Hawke vantage hmr reticuled scope. I bought one for mine and although i haven't used it a great deal due to weather, i think it is very good.

Even if we were lucky enough to import some top digging type terriers there just isn't the work for them here with most places in NSW being undiggable and the strain would end up mediocre I think. It's like importing top working cattle dogs to the UK, you just couldn't give them the type of rough work we have in the wilder places here. I think extreme breeds are to be admired in their own country because they will lose what they have without their original purpose.

Remember the days where dogs like this were a common sight ?? Any of these lads thinking about going over to Ukraine and volunteering ought to have had a word with my old neighbour Don. He'd been out in Nth Africa right from the start of WW2.
