  1. Fin has set up a little log business, splitting and bagging and I'll run out a truck load if he get a bigger enquiry, Mrs set up a bit on Insta for him last night. He got his first couple of sales yesterday, spent all weekedn splitting and putting in seperate store to my lot (I've been told hands off!! lol). He's 16 and wants a motor bike on the road for a bit of freedom, I'm dead against it but hey ho you can't wrap them in cotton wool and he's grafting to earn to buy it.... Just a different post from covid or immigrants! lol

  6. Last nights Quorn Lasagne - not my first choice, little 'un requested it because she prefers the texture to mince. If you've never used it before, it doesn't cook like mince - it's better to do the sauce first (red onions, tomatoes, garlic, a few herbs and a load of red wine), reduce it down, then add the Quorn. ......... To be fair, it was still quite nice.

  14. Had a walk around today, took my little cz511. Saw plenty of pheasants at the feeders, some of the feeders have gone down a lot this last weekend. Topped up with wheat, the snow and cold snap is drawing the birds in, also crows were on them as well as rats and squirrels. Can’t remember the last time I saw snow in November. I really need to get on with setting a couple of squirrel feeders up, the little blighters are everywhere......

  18. I'm looking at getting a petrol splitter mate, had one for a week on hire and got through loads of it. I'm not sure what a wood grenade is? Whatever you do in life work ethic gets you a long way, the digital, computer game shit is unfortunately part of todays world, there aint a kid in his school who doesn't play on them mate.. but it's got to be managed. His mates are all at something though, the lad up the road drives his dad defender pulling a trailer with his gardening fit on it along the top road and does a little gardening round, he's 15 and reversing a trailer like a 60 y

He don't ask for anything to be honest (my daughters are a bit different!! lol)... he's saved £700 from bday and christmas money, he won't spend it, it's lined up for this bike. I got him a trials bike 3 or 4 years ago, I said to trade that in as well.... All he's spent on is his board masters tickets for next year, Kings of Leon are headlining... he's booked all 5 days with his mates... f**k I wish I was young again!! lol

  33. Number 17 from my garden. Bloody things trash the feeders. Hung the bird feeders on foot long wires thats f****d them up. Watch one for ages few days ago it could not figure how to get to them. Started to feed under the feeders on the waste so set cage traps again. Thought was just an odd one but this is two in three days. Can't understand where they are all coming from unless they are moving in from fields about half a mile away. Hardly any acorns this year and not that many Hazel nuts so maybe hunger is forcing them in, they seem fat enough though. Iv'e never known so many as this year

  34. £5 a kilo is very expensive. Most charge between sixty and eighty pence per pound, around £1.50 per kilo. A lot of BARF, or raw, can be sourced from butchers for free or very cheaply. But if your happy with your feeding regime, that's fine ? Cheers.

  35. I got my first pup recently and went back and forth in my mind on whether to feed BARF or not, in the end I decided to just feed a decent kibble (Skinner's field and trial) with some cooked meat mixed in. He also has some Butcher's puppy wet food with the kibble because that's what he was on at the breeder's and coating the kibble in a third of a tin of that means he eats it all no problem ? My conclusion on raw feeding was that to do it cost effectively you have to do yourself, rather than use the pre packaged stuff. My pup was going to end up on 1kg a day or something silly which would
