I took the little terrier's littermate digging today. He is built like a twenty pound whippet. He did a good job but time will tell.In my opinion one of the best feelings in the world is digging to a young terrier you bred and raised yourself.Even if they are ugly lol5 points

I smoked 20 a day for 15 hrs or so, went cold turkey so to speak and gave the tabs up, idiotically 5 yrs down the line I started smoking again, decided to quit but this time I used a vape to help me stop smoking and in all honesty actually found it a lot harder to give up the vape and found it more addictive than tabs… Stopped putting any of the above shit in my lungs now for nearly 3 yrs and honestly say I feel far better for it, my pocket is better off too…5 points

Blimey this is all very deep !....cant say as ive ever had much experience of folk with real mental issues beyond a few suicides of people you barely knew but something a few years back had a bit of an effect on me its probably an age thing where things that never bothered you before now do and you suddenly grow a conscience from somewhere...but as a few folk will know i did a bit of jail again a few years back and its all a lot different doing time in your 50's to doing it in your 20's and i avoided all the silliness and ego shit that gets you into trouble and just kept my nut down this time.5 points

There is nothing better, than feeding a dog top quality scran, and seeing the benefits and results, out in the field..?5 points

A slice of this put into the feed is a good way of adding more fat/energy into the diet, an even better way is adding fatty minced beef5 points

gain 28 isn’t a bad food for its price, firm poo dogs look well and coats shine but it’s only 13% fat as it’s designed for sprinting dogs more than endurance so if his dogs are out 5 days a week I’m not sure they would hold condition on it unless he added some fat to it everyday day as in lard or beef dripping or sunflower oil ect which is easy and cheap enough to do anyway, one thing I would tell him if he uses it or any dry food for that matter is to soak it in plenty of warm water half an hour before feeding, it amazes me how much water these dry foods will absorb if you let them soak for5 points

It's more about how the dogs look and perform on any food rather than what it says on the bag Tbh.... It's also important to take notice of what comes out the other end. Brightly coloured sloppy crap that smells bad is all the proof you need that what your feeding doesn't suit your dogs.5 points

I'm with Terry on this Nothing beats trying things BUT you will need to learn your land Every bit of it first every nook and cranny where you can place your foot when walking So you don't make a noise Iv Lamped with an air rifle for years since I was a kid Lamping is a skill you have to learn And its not easy by any means I find once you come across a rabbit I tend to keep the rabbit in view but just on the edge of the beem So not on the rabbit just so you can make it out still on the edge so it's still in darkness but you can see it R5 points

Remember day's like that and they always seemed to drag lol afternoons was my favourite shift at the pit and I would ask lads starting on 12 hour nights what the weather was like and if it was windy I knew I would be out all night after finishing work.4 points

Red mills racer 20% protein along with raw beef and tripe,I think if feeding them a lot of raw meat ect then there’s not really a need for high protein kibble.4 points

I went squirreling this afternoon on cut maize. I enjoyed the 22 again. I mentioned recently how I'm somewhat fed up with the 22 but I did enjoy it today. I still think the hmr would of shot more though but just for now, 22 rocks ?3 points

When it starts to be a chore, when it's not fun anymore, then it's time to get out the game ! Im sitting here listening to the wind and watching the trees whipping about ,wishing my pup was old enough to be out on the lamp ! When I lose that feeling, I'll know it'll be time to hang up the lamp ! ? Cheers.3 points

I lived a few mile away from the pit though my best mate lived on the white city right next to Maltby pit if i was on days and it forecasted wind i would call in his and we would sit calling in his kitchen till it got dark then it would be out over Lord Scarborough's for a few pheasants. Happy day's i would go back to them times in an heartbeat.3 points

I use the t20 as well more than capable of airgun ranges and then some Flattop same mate dusk or a little be fore So I can get the ones sunning them selfs under bushes or fences With there heads held high and eyes closed, If you learn the land you can lay in wait on a night time dusk is good for this find there burrows lay down at your zero range and they will come out now I don't lay in front of there burrows either to the right or the left So when they come out they don't see me strait off Gives you time to set the shot up Once shot I don't retrieve t3 points

Me neither done it for years,Lewis invest in a shooting stick for stability,I use a £10.00 monopod so no need to break the bank. No need for a long distance lamp,I use 2 T20 torches, one attached to my scopes with a figure 8 clamp and another my spotter worn around my neck on lanyard.I scan and spot with neck worn torch and when I feel I’m in a good killing distance I change to gun mounted torch so I’m not shouldering the rifle all night. both my T20s are single mode with red beam also called red pill. I can see from your other threads that you are a very enthusiastic young man w3 points

Another tip for any that didn’t know, don’t soak dry food in boiling water straight out of the kettle as it will kill some of the vitamins in the food, best off using warm water, just put the kettle on for a minute or something ?3 points
