My Grandad was a herbalist and had loads of dandelions in the garden from memory. My Dad regularly picked up, chewed the stalk then spat it out but swallowed the juice. He said it was good for the kidneys. Years later he donated a kidney to me and it's still going strong after many years ?.13 points

? I USED to be a serious fecker over jukels,.and my gun came out of its holster like 'Quick Draw MacGraw"? Things are different now,..life moves on and dawgs, ferrets, killing whatever rises, and the constant pressures that the hunting game inevitably creates,..no longer rule me...? Far from awarding respect and kudos to similarly bred guys who think along the same lines as I once did,..nowadays I look them in the eyes,..and feel kinda sorry for them....?7 points

trev certainly puts the effort in, and I like how he rates his dog's he tells how it is good or bad. I accepted no decent numbers long ago. it's a mooch and at best 2 or 3 rabbits were dog marks, and single Jill in. it still gets the old heart going when I hear rabbit bumping about to bolt. it never leaves you?5 points

Forgetting the quality of the fighters for a minute.. The unification fight in the heavies is and always will be the biggest fight in boxing...throw in they are both British and for the UK it is bound to be the biggest fight... I tend to watch loads of 80s and 90s fights on you tube now, nostalgia maybe but there was just more about it for me...but this fury v aj fight is the biggest today.5 points

Genuine boxing lads must look at the state of boxing and despair now days.......I don’t know who the promoters are thinking this shite up but they are making a joke of boxing. You got you tubers v other you tubers, you got lads who should be mowing the lawn fighting each other, you got MMA fighters v pro boxers.......bloody awful really5 points

As most of us know, the bible is not one book; it's made up of many books, and a lot of books that didn't quite fit the narrative were excluded. But let's stick with the two main books; the Jewish Old Testament and the Christian New Testament. Two completely different versions of god : the vengeful, angry , murderous god of the Old Testament, who inflicted the most grevious tortures on a devout believer, Job, just to win a bet with the devil, who destroyed cities, populations and mankind except for Noah and his family, who turned one of his believers Lot's, wife, into a pillar of sal4 points

My main quarry has always been roe, with regular opportunities at fallow and the very occasional muntjac. The Sika have always alluded me. Well, until lockdown lifted and I was able to get away for a few days stalking, which I was f***ing gagging for tbh. I was doing alright on the roe bucks at this point and wasn't feeling much pressure, evening was setting in and the deer were starting to move again. I parked up on the top of the chalky downlands to fire up the jetboil and glass about where about a mile and half away I spotted 'something' motionless in the grass... Couldn't really tell3 points

I think it's interesting that as far back as we can go as humans ,we have worshipped God's , world wide lots of different God's ,lots of similarities ,but as far as I know every recorded culture has worshipped God's ...are we hard wired to believe in something ?3 points

We are all controlled and ruled by powers way beyond our control, and fd is right ruled by fear ,religion, and I'd give budisham a let off ,all the rest are scare mongers ,yet another decent living human being doesn't need ,native Americans, were near the mark, look up to nature ,work with it ,not rape it !3 points

Yeah, I think you could be right. I've lost count of the number of times I've been watching a farming type programme on tv and been shouting at the screen, "Why are you running around, waving your arms: get a bloody collie!" It's almost as though people have forgotten what a decent collie/sheepdog is capable of. They watch One Man and His Dog and think I'll never get mine to do that so I won't bother.3 points

I had a very similar conversation only the other week with the councillor chap you and me have spoken about and his views are very much like yours so i,ll say to you what i said to him ......i think you are trying to go around the houses mate, in theory yes its a very sensible approach and all very " correct " but its just too late in the day now for sensible and correct....again not to equate everything to " a fight " but we have let this go so far now that we are way behind on the scorecards and staying on the jab might win you the last few rounds but it'll lose you the fight..... and believ3 points

For me its just indicative of the society we now live in you dont have to reach the top on merit anymore.....reality tv has merged into sport and if your face fits you're in. Edited to add.....another good example is these 2 strongmen geezers they cant throw a punch between them yet are getting eyes on them.....its the naive showing out to the gullible.3 points

When Tyson was dominating Lewis hadnt even turned pro mate. Im of the opinion Lewis would of beaten Tyson even easier had Tyson been at his prime....the notoriety and reputation Tyson had built meant that Lewis showed him far more respect than he needed to,that fight could of been over in 3 rounds had Lewis put his foot down earlier. When you weigh it up Tyson only fought 2 high level opponents in his career and over 3 fights barely took a round off them.3 points

Same as dogs, the more you have to do with them the closer and better the bond working and I believe they try to please you. I feel sorry for hunters that don't have that bond with their animals. I believe they are missing the best part of hunting.3 points

Shame because kelpies are considered the number one stock dog worldwide, even imported for working reindeer. I doubt the collies would be close to the working standard of a work bred kelpie. Your idea of big spaces may not be mine with some stations opver here bigger than some countries.3 points
