Been a while since I've put owt up of pip. She hasn't been well recently, had a growth on her ear that became infected, under antibiotic and steroids treatment and hopefully we can sort it out, so not been out in last 3-4 days other than on lead. Took her for first wander today, let her off to stretch her legs, into the bushes she went and put one up...............not that poorly then!14 points

One of my landowners has recently bought a small wood adjacent to her land ,quite why I don’t know . Shes a very wealthy woman so dosnt need to explain lol. Shes been complaining about hares in the newly planted bean fields .I said I thought the damage was probably rooks pulling up the seedlings but a recent look with the thermal showed up hares apparently grazing on the plants . Shes asked that I shoot a few but not to decimate them lol. Yesterday afternoon ,I took the 100 for a look in said wood mainly for squirrels which she dislikes as well ? First look through the9 points

Never in my memory have i seen such hypocritical bollix from the demorats, from the moment trump started winning in 2016 they, the demorats have tried their best to make his life hell, false accusations everywhere where he cleared his name. They havent let off for a single miniute, its a fcuking disgrace how he was treated by the left and the left media. For those that cant see it its exactly what the bbc do and they also hid pedo rings and paid them for decades, they think theyre above the law. I hope trump exposes even more dirt on them and shows the rest of the nation exactly how far down t5 points

Done away with my open fire 2 year ago. This thing chucks far more heat and burns a lot less fuel. Same place as Flattop got his from Dean Forge and the Concrete wood effect bean. Cheers Arry5 points

Same as the pure mali's and herders.Everyone who did a bit of security or pp traing thought they needed one untill they got one and had to live with the wired up cranky f***ing things. Its all very well watching youtube vids of them flying through the air going through different scenario's but you aint gunna get one to that standard with a few hours training each week.5 points

Love an open fire. They always make me chilled. My first memory of one is when I was a kid before I went to school. My mam was breastfeeding my kid sister and I was staring out of the window watching the rain and listening g to the coals falling in the grate. No telly just silence. My old dear sent me to the shop with a list and when I got back I had dropped the ration book. Off I went to find it and when I did and brought it home, my mam gave me a home made scone with jam as a reward. I dried off by the fire and fell asleep. I still go wild camping and used to take my sons when they were4 points

I don’t do anything really anymore but I used to buy and sell things and later that also encapsulated the logistics of getting stuff in and out and relocated around the UK and Europe. I used to do very well before my kids came along but I gave up a lot of my hunger for work when they arrived. I made a very deliberate and conscious decision to just do enough and spend all the time with my family, that cost me a few times.....there were weeks I only had £50 to see us out, but kids don’t care about that and the world turns, there were also plenty of times it was the other way so it even4 points

Most lads in our industry work their way up by being lazy cnuts, sucking the gaffers off or by grassing on others. The way some folk carry on at the sight of a boss makes me nauseous. ???4 points

This going to sound totally mental but if I ever got a new bloke and we were clearing a place I’d get them to sweep the floor !......you can learn bundles about people from just getting them to sweep the floor imho The quality of that simple, boring, stupid task will tell you very quickly all you need to know about someone. Sounds rediculous really but it’s true4 points

I don’t think that’s true for all middle management mate, there are as many terrible directors and managers as there are workers. I think good people will always be good people, if you allow them to play to their strengths, identify their weaknesses, make a note of their character and match them with tasks accordingly. Make them feel valued, don’t forget to say “great job” and “Thank you”, get them invested mentally in what you are doing.....that’s our job as leaders of whatever project we are doing. You have to project the confidence of knowledge and be the unflappable rock4 points

Yes mate I’d say they do .Years ago I felled a rotten tree whilst fencing and it had 3 little owl chicks in a hole unknown to us .Reared all 3 and hacked them back at our house .One evening bit later ,there was hell of a commotion and one of the supposed reared little owls had a starling broad daylight on our roof .Wish I’d kept that one lol. I caught one while back by hand on a fence post at night ,just walked up to it .Starving it was .Son in law got him right and he sees what he thinks is same bird regular near his house . Did see a sparrow hawk kill one once years ago when out ha4 points

Im sure Trump will pull something out of the bag. He will never concede defeat. This election is just the beginning - next is civil war. When he has won that and installed himself as The Great Leader of The United States, the Trump family will reign over America for a thousand years. Every county will have a giant statue of Donald in it, where citizens who turn their backs on his glorious likeness will be transported, along with their families, to gulags in Alaska.4 points

I don't give a f**k what anyone says, there is very few people that get anything without putting the graft in.... proper people graft, whether you have a uni degree or a degree in life..... fair play to you mate, your lad will thank you for instilling that work ethic into him... Middle management is the one bunch who think grafting is below them...last in the door and first out in the main....c**ts!! Lol4 points

Never been a fan of middle management....look down on the grafters and not got the bollocks to be the boss.....4 points

Unfortunately mate times change and it’s very hard to find quality people with a bit of a work ethic today imho. Its all this “everyone is entitled to a great job and £25000 a year from the get go” that has murdered things imho.....on one hand it’s nice that kids have choices rather than my generation who just wanted to get out and take whatever was in offer but in the other hand it’s done nothing for the quality within the pool of labour. We have definitely been “bred down” as a group of people, and before anyone groans that’s not a racial thing it’s a cultural thing imho In op3 points

When we was kids we had to sprinkle it on the pavements when there was snow and ice acted like the salt they use now, also if you burn wood and not coal the ash was good for the garden and allotment for growing the veg, simple days ?3 points

Don’t watch much telly but I’m noticing the adverts are becoming like a brain washing session. New one on me tonight, an advert with a black fella, his white partner, 2.4 half cast kids, which is the norm but it also had a midget thrown in the mix as well! ?3 points
