  1. 10 questions 10 to Sebastián Cruz. Galguero and flamenco singer. 1: Why are you a galguero? I'm Galguero because I think it was when I was born. My father was a good galguero and my grandfather Sebastian also had greyhounds. He told me that he had one called "Careto" that brought the hares that killed him at the door of the house and thus also helped in family support. The truth is that I am passionate about this world. 2: What do greyhounds bring to your life? Greyhounds practically since I was born, bring me much satisfaction. They are the ones that help me to di

  2. After a very poor season last year due to a back injury hopefully will get better luck this season. Been out a couple times this week as the weather and grounds is abit more favourable albeit warm still. Edi still has got a fair way to go to get a level of fitness back for decent night, but hopefully won’t be long. Atb have a good season everyone!

  4. You will struggle to find any politician that has worked for ten years let alone in the constituency. Take Corbyn (please); according to Wiki he worked for 2 years until aged 19 he went travelling and then has been in politics for the rest of his life. And he is not in a minority. Few of our current politicians have done what we call proper jobs.

  5. My view on Brexit has been changing slightly over the last couple of months. Now the EU is a shit organisation and they are definitely going to a very sinister place with all this empire building, it also has a distinctly anti democracy agenda on many issues.......however I think the last 3 years have shown us things that we didn’t know before and, it seems, many still can’t grasp.......namely that a massive amount of our daily problems were the fault of the politicians we kept electing to our own parliament, they simply hid behind the EU. We blame massive free movement of people, 3r

  6. With plenty of rain forecast for tonight I decided to go and have a Trip out on the lamp. unfortunately the rain didn’t come as expected or even at all, up on arrival of my first spot I gazed on the temperature gauge in the car and it read 15 degrees so with that I decided I needed to take things steady. I made my way through the first field which was very long grass, next field had been planted but nothing was yet to start growing but that’s where the bunnies were and so my night started. I picked a few off and made my way round my route, every time the dog would make a catch I stopped to

  8. yep the reason I wont have dogs in the house....and my 3 are soft as bollox......but as ive said a dozen times on these threads....your average lurcher is 50lbs of muscle and teeth... how many of us have small whippety lurchers that can kill a fox or a 50-60 lbs roe deer in a matter of seconds by crushing its windpipe...my 5 year old weighs around 40 lbs....even my 10 year old is only around 70lbs...... make no mistake they would make short work of a child....

  11. I've lost dogs, to all manner, of 'over-running' maladies,..some dogs seem pre-destined to die young, whilst others will suffer from abuse and can handle, even the stupidest of handlers...? Trust me, I used to be, a world-renowned authority, on the fecking subject... ? You got to take things really slow and, let the jukels run themselves into, a natural kind of fitness...?

  12. I think others have explained, I don't fully follow the chart as there do seem to be some odd anomalies. http://www.varmintal.com/17hmr.htm This is the link if it helps! Again, as other have said cutting the barrel down is going to make a marginal difference in reality, don't be tempted to cut to much off first go though, its hard to glue it back if its too short!

  14. There are certain breeds of dogs that really should not be kept without a special licence, also there are certain breeds of humans that should not be allowed to own dogs under any circumstances. Most people in their lifetime will come across a situation where you will be worried or attacked by a dog however mild a situation, but a full blown attack by a large breed you dont stand much chance, unless youre armed. A friend of mine was attacked recently by his girlfriends dog and suffered quite bad injuries to his face and neck. As was the case it was the usual chav type dog and feckwit owner, n

  22. Blimey ! That escalated quickly......so before I get drawn into something that’s none of my business let me just make a couple of things clear: The only thing I’m into flattening these days is my dinner ! And nothing Max has ever said to me would make me feel angry in that way towards the bloke and I’m sure he feels exactly the same. We exchange some banter, some strong opinions and a few friendly (and sometimes not so friendly) insults.....that’s it and that’s all ......no skin off anyones nose as far as I can see. just for the record

  33. That is a disgrace! Whoever let a pup go in that condition should not own a dog. See if you can get some Benzyl benzoate from a chemist and rub that on, i wouldn't wait till Monday.

Whenever I see things like that I always think of that poor little scouse girl who was killed at her grandmas house. that dog pretty much removed that little souls head from her body just think about that for one second before thinking , ah they’ll be alright only takes a dog’s tail to be stood on , or an eye poke tragic

  37. That’s true, no offence, but anyone that says any dog never mind dog with aggression in their blood is 100% is not thinking right........they may be 100% SO FAR but that’s no guarantee of anything. I seen a couple of red noses for sale the other day and for a moment went “Ohh” then right away I think how I have a 6 year old plus other kids and I just wouldn’t even entertain it. I just wouldnt want a dog that requires so much thought and planning every day anyway.

  41. It is grim reading mate, but goes back to what I said a couple of weeks ago in another thread on here. The majority of dog owners in this country really are not fit to be dog owners. Not saying that particular woman, but most dog owners, regardless of the breed they procure, will buy that dog on a whim, with no knowledge at all of that particular breed, it's physical needs, mental charecteristcs, etc, or dogs in general. All dogs need ALOT more than a 10 minute walk twice a day, and a few throws of a ball or whatever, to keep them grounded, happy and secure. Not trivialising this incident
