Love them or hate them there is no getting away from the fact there will never be anyone as influential in successfully breeding just one cross as Hancocks have been, iv no complaints with mine,9 points

Been a long time since I posted a pic so here's my two I've been putting a lot of graft into last two years. Tbf turning out two very good finders smash cover and find them anywhere. Testing at times but still only young. Bred from a very good dog called fudge from Yorkshire beagle spaniel to a bitch I got bred of the same lads beagle spaniel terrier.9 points

Promised the little ins we could go 'camping' in the garden during school hols. You know life has changed when such an event gets your bivvy out for the first time in years! Wouldnt change it for the world. Controlled campfire in the bbq for toasting marshmallows. Priceless times.7 points

Thats true, but you can only polish a turd so much. Sometimes the right dog comes along at the right point in your life. They may not be The Best, but they will be Your Best.7 points

The best dog I ever had isn’t the dog I’d have again given the chance. Having a proper connection with a lurcher is a special thing and has been harder to replace for me than getting a lurcher to do what I need it to.6 points

And to be honest you haven’t missed anything full of f***ing idiots now used to be good when the coursing lads were on here until they back doored Gorger’s Lucas into a draw cuz they were to scared to slip the dozer on his third hare ffs and called the black assassin a jacker all you get now is what’s the best size in woman’s dresses for lamping and baked beans you might as well f**k off for another decade atb B.B.6 points

Here you go mate I,ve done a set of orange dub dub tubes and a set of tbg for you there is a ball bearing in the end of the tubes so just push it through the hole in the fork and push the bb back in as I,ve done it and should hold secure there are some ties and string to attach the flat bands like in the video I put up, and a couple of little twig forks for the boys to shoot some chick peas round the place, don’t no how long the little red bands will last so have done a bundle of spares, loads of vids on utube if you need to no more or drop me a pm hopefully get you and the boys started mate A4 points

....to escape from grandkids! Took a smoke pole and dug in under a sittie tree. Winged vermin and a hand full of woodies for just five shots, can't complain but boy is it hot! I was glad to knock the cap of a cold cider when I got in! It was good to burn the black stuff again..I don't know why it is not more popular! I err forgot my sunglasses! Note the high tech camo. Works well!4 points

Can’t beat it, it’s stuff they’ll never forget. Had mine out all over the place the last few weeks, and getting them back to school means the sport with the dogs isn’t far away?4 points

As promised , a little write up for you all . The combine and trailers and bailers worked on till about 9.0 pm . I sat next to one of the pens till it got dark but nothing showed. There is a Cider festival locally which started off life as a small festival where there were a few local bands played and people drank local cider , well now it’s become massive and extremely noisy. So last night SL conducted his foxing session whilst having my ears assaulted by the likes of “Dizzy Rascal” , ( he’s a rapper sausage dog ) . Anyway I managed to shoot two . I just drove around the newly cut fields spot4 points

My mate rob runs his own shoot ,he puts every penny n hour into this little syndicate.BUt again foxes are the no1 pest .so we geared up and dropped on his spots ,there is 2 patches off whins plus good group off low tight trees .we had to wait till at least 7pm so it would cool down a bit. I only had Brian and young maggie with me,first spot produced nothing but rabbits. Second spot produced 3 Charlie's. One was hit hard to got to barley, so will be looking for that today .one cleanly escaped and 1 fell to the gun of the man himself. He was over moon .both young dogs done well hopefully hell be3 points

Memory plays funny tricks on you, I've had a couple of good, nay great dogs in the last 40 years but one man's gold is another man's trash. As Ive got older I value different things in a dog, my old white cur is the best I've had in certain respects but couldn't hold a candle to some I've had in the past in many other respects but the main thing imo is to utilise any particular dogs qualities and most of all, enjoy your dogs! Cheers, D.3 points

Vandal, the dog in my pic was the foundation of the remlap line, which produced some outstanding earth dogs. Some could be a little on the hard side, but they got the job done.3 points

This is all you need to know about Scientology, it was made up by a science fiction writer , L.Ron Hubbard in the 50s . It’s a complete load of Cods wallop and how seemingly intelligent people have been suckered into it is a mystery.3 points

we bin this week.....4 days away....cracking little site 30 miles up the road from us.....little stream running threw the campsite with rope swings across and fallen trees across it ....hire a fire pit for a £5 for the hole stay ....made out of a washing machine drum....you could buy a dustbin full of wood as well.....although I went in to the woods a mile drive and filled up with dead wood of the forest floor....never got the stove out...cooked everything on the open fire...cant beat it....kids all made friends with each other and playing together....great little site it is3 points

Well they started combining the wheat yesterday and it looks like they will finish most of it this evening. Things have been a bit quiet on the foxing front for me . I knocked the snaring on the head a while back as I got fed up checking them for nothing. I hadnt smelled or seen a fox or had any interference with the birds , everything is settled and peaceful in pheasant world. Just how I like it . Some new people moved into one of the estate properties, former city dwellers, looking for the rural “ good life “ . One of the first thing people who move onto the estate do is get some chickens. Good work mate. I checked my grass field, nothing when I was there. A rapper?? Sweet wrapper you mean?2 points

You are right there . Looking at them though , they are so different from the poults of that age you see in the sheds , their feathering and colour , so different, due to the unnatural high protein diet artificial heat and close proximity to other birds . But it’s almost like a different species.2 points

Good job, we still had standing wheat on the shoot before the weekend, hopefully it will be down now, so we can get at the remainder of the gingers around the farm, we also have a few wildie’s around the farm but as you say the odds are stacked against them, once the crops down they get bothered by everything from raptors to the bloody farm cat2 points

There were/are plenty of good places up and down the country. BUT, to name the places you might've had success is a tad foolish, and something I, or anyone else with a modicum of sense, would not share with anyone else2 points
