I work on reservoirs and although I’m not “an expert” I consider myself as having more knowledge than most on the subject. There are plenty of people in the country with excellent engineering backgrounds into dam failures and the implications of failure should it happen. The authorities are only trying to protect people. If they hadn’t withdrawn families and it went tits up, people would be screaming murder. Easy to say in hind sight, in my view better safe than sorry. What it does look like though is poor inspections and poor maintenance, there were weeds growing in the joints in some of the coverage. If weeds can grow in-between the concrete slabs then you can get water ingress, which caused this cock up. The water company just want to take our money. I think I'm right in saying they have not built a new large reservoir since it was privatised, and now looking like they don't maintain the ones they do have. Cheers Arry

I can’t see Manchester United doing anything serious for at least the next 2 seasons, that’s almost a complete rebuild job up there. That club needs put back together in terms of players and mind set and that won’t happen overnight. In my local area anything Easterly causes a real sloppy swell. This makes fishing anywhere except tight inshore just generally unpleasant. So I took the opportunity to fish in shelter and managed to find a few fish and one of our lovely summer visitors.

In my mind the two are not really comparable Phill as one is a bullpup and one a normal length rifle albeit slightly shorter than the 100 series. Perhaps a better comparison is the Wildcat and the 110k as they are both short rifles. I have had two Wildcats in .177 & .22 and confess they are lovely to carry and shoot with 200+ shots per fill (sorry I can't remember exactly how many) but the downside for me was the magazines which jumped out of the gun on a number of occasions plus they are only 8 shot which FX could have improved when they brought the Mk11 out.
