Woke up this morning the car showed minus 5 but quickly went to minus 2 as we got driving . Took all the dogs today and thought try some banks and small rubble patches. All was blank until the very last spot where the busher gave a good holler to herself and the old jack followed they went round and round a few minutes barking and crashing then nothing until the old terrier squeezed into a one holer off a tree and got a quick result

Had a walk around my squirrel permission to check the feeders and they have started feeding from them , spotted three on three different feeders . walking along another part of the wood and out of the corner of my eye caught a sight of a squirrel on the ground Ranged it at 78 yards which is one and half milldots on the FX .25 FAC impact ,went down on the bipod , and released the lump of lead . As you can see a spot on shot and the damage is unbelievable

Well got a dehydrator for Christmas off my lad really for drying the mushrooms I get. But you can do Jerky in it, so of I went 2 batches so far, got a bit carried away with the "Hot Smoked Paprika" on the second batch turned out a bit hot. You lads that like the Chilli would like it okay though. The first batch was just like the shop bought Biltong why I decided to try and improve on it. I suppose you aways do. Cheers Arry

Well got a shock of a phone call a couple of days ago,the in-law I go metal detecting with every now and then, has permission to detect on and shoot the rabbits and squirrels,he can only go so often tho,so he asked the owner could he bring me along as I do a bit of pest control too,the owner was over the moon and they seem to have a lot of pests,it's not a farm but a HALL with 300 acres yep 300 acres,we can go anywhere on the 300 acres but he said for now can we concentrate on the HALL gardens as rabbits/squirrels are making a mess,so the inlaw took me round today for a mooch wow the HALL stan

if I was in your position,I'd have the dog around me 24/7,in and out of every vehicle ,piece of plant,around every sort of stock,birds etc....make for a calmer/steadier dog all round imo ?

The dog or bitch itself is yours to work but I do see what you mean dogmandont by not been 100% truly yours as to breeding from that dog or bitch if it comes good enough. On the other side of the coin that dog or bitch has been developed by a man that has put time and effort into getting it to that stage and when taking that dog or bitch as a pup that person should understand it has a responsibility to do right by its breeding and who bred it. Ferrets have been domesticated for years to get them were they are today, a wild polecat, Mink stoat are out and out killers, why would you want to add that to a line of ferrets? He loaded the ferret and his pup, wandered by some sheep to start with and seen a rabbit pop into a 4 holer so nets down An had our first . We walked a path chatting away when we seen a mixi on aimless wandering so he was off with his pup for an easy catch, we carried on chatting how he doesn’t really need me out just to drop him off?. She gave alittle mark on a 9 holer so nets down An the ground was thundering she was in knots couldn’t help but laugh. That produced 2 and we put one back for another day
