Had a little trip out this morning. I have not been doing as much of anythong as i should so decided to make an effort. Up at 5.30 for a feed, drink and get the gun ready.. off to mcdonalds for another feed and away we go I was early so had to wait for the daylight.. turns out the farmer was waiting for the same thing. It seemed like he was waiting on me to take the fun out the slip before he fired up the old quad He skipped around moving lecky fences and scareing the rabbits down the holes so i was not going to win today but as i wasnthere it would be rude not to have a look.10 points

As per usual we were on the fields just as the day was breaking, after instructions from the keeper were he wanted us to tackle first we got kitted out and made our way out,I went to the left of our starting point and my mate went right, along a gulley which was littered with holes. Nell flushes a rabbit out of the reeds and gave chase, unsighted at times, now I’m sure if I had given chase I’d have picked it up, instead it made the safety of a wall, after a few choice words she was soon marking a small warren, so with nets round I dropped a pair of albino sisters in and waited, I didn’t have l10 points

Popped over to the perm last night for a play with the photon, couple of missed opportunity's, but the moon being out didn't help casting shadows everywhere and I was lit up like a beacon, but I did manage this 40yarder which I got on video too haha.. Liking the photon, just need to practice my stealth mode as I'm too noisy and clumsy haha..5 points

Went to my squirrel permission to see if the feeders needed filling up which they didn't , to much food for them from the nuts dropping . Also went to gather some chestnuts but not many about and I know why now after shooting these three with HW100k ,shots taken standing free hand from 34-37 yards up into the trees . Only about the second time I shot one with nut in its mouth ,but never three in a row Had another one walking back to the van5 points

I know a few people that have met and a couple that have spent quite a bit of time in his company...they've all said he is a very decent lad, good laugh, down to earth and wants to get involved.... So he married a girl who's divorced...so what?... times moved on, I'm by no means a royalist but forgetting conspiracy theories on his mother's death, the colour of his wife and her past relationships...surely we should all want to see the one royal we probably all connect with more than any other have some happiness.... Good luck to him and her...id be f****d if I felt i couldn't marry t4 points

At long last I got to get out at first light for a full morning of walking and hunting. What a beautiful day. Took a crow off the wing and a Maggie. As a shot gun the little .45 punches well above it's weight. Running out of shot on crows I firked a ball out and shot a 20yd squirrel to end a glorious morning. Plenty of pheasants about too and I think another fox is about too! U.3 points

I know on old retired chap who makes stocks for a hobby . He has made some fine sticks with animal and bird heads which he carves himself. I have been asking for a fox head stick for ages and it was always, “Ive never done one”, I don’t think I could” . Anyway he turned up yesterday at this shoot where we go Loading with this stick , not bad for a first attempt at a fox . I am over the moon with it .2 points

Finally got a day when I could spend some time really getting after some birds. I made the mistake of running them together for a bit, so my bitch became very competitive and broke on the first bird. A shake and a talking to sorted that out, and she followed up by making a fantastic long blind retrieve on a bird on another bird the pup flushed while she was out on a marked retrieve. I elected not to send the pup because he wasn’t as steady as he should have been.2 points

Out yesterday for a couple of hours with a mate to stretch the hounds legs, hounds got a very good hound, didn’t miss a beat. Put the fox to ground, mate said the famous words, it’s a handy spot, so I went for my pup. Soon as I brought him to the earth he was going mad to get of his lead, second I let him of he was gone, give him 10 mins no sign, mate put his ear to the mouth of the hole and could hear him clamped to the fox, I started to locate, heart went in my mouth when I seen 9ft on the box! Phoned a mate for backup! Straight out to us, pup did not let a mute out! Over the moon!!2 points

Fracking is another nail in the coffin of the human race and a clear example of how greed and profit will always win over right and wrong, best of all the paying public have not received a single penny off utility bills from wind or sun power and as long as there are share holders skimming everything off the top won't get anything off there gas bills through fracking but will be left to pick up the mess for years2 points

Yes, it will But, your camo has to be very good. ......... You have to rub fox shit on your boots and, sit very still in a bush and make very quiet chicken noises. When the fox comes along, you whack him over the head with the stock end of the rifle. For obvious reasons, you're better off not using a rifle that has a floating barrel. It's actually cheaper than shooting rabbits because you can leave your pellets at home2 points

Had a first cross many years ago, great bitch , lacked a little top speed but learnt to use the hedge to her advantage, as for headstrong, breeds that were originally bred to kill on there own , terriers saluki etc are less inclined to respond to instruction when stimulated as say collie crosses , collies arnt bred to kill, the very act of working with its owner is feedback enough as in any breed what we love about them and what we f***ing hate about them is always closely linked , we love the drive determination and single mindfulness , we hate the stubbornness , aggression when2 points

The HW 100`s, in any format Jimmy, you`ve heard it over and over again from the lads . With your night shooting Jimmy and dislike of the thumb hole stocks, i would lean towards a .177 KS or full length . Taking nothing away from the Impact but at sub 12 level all you hear is HW 100 at FAC level you hear Impact . Best i can say is after nearly 8 yrs of faultless, HW 100 hunting, for me- " Nothing beats it" at sub 12 level and a hell of a lot less expense. Go2 points

Cheap, political point-scoring ! An easy target, which most of the general public will instinctively dislike.............but very, very few will ever use, and even fewer will understand. DEFRA states that is no case for banning the collars, then, 2 weeks later and with no additional research, decide there IS a case for banning them ! An unpopular government trying to do something 'popular' - "see how much we care.......were banning owners from electrocuting their dogs !" Undiluted, totally transparent bollox ! Michael Gove is a w4nker of the highest order !2 points
