Whilst in North Wales I picked up some BP from a gun shop in Bangor. Whilst there I noticed they were selling off some lead ball. Turns out non of them were of any use to me except for maybe the .760". Maybe I can resize them below ole' Bess's bore of .750" ! When I get home I dig out a wad punch and cut them down to .737". Today I shot 3 at an old brick wall. Shot one hit the brick I was aiming for Shot two went a little high and shot three landed on shot one! This is brilliant in my opinion. Provided I can get close enough, there is, if ca7 points

That seems a lifetime ago Greyman,..but, I do remember the guy with the big old jukels...lots of crazy characters around back then...? I was privileged to Judge lurchers at both The Welsh and The Midland shows,...massive turnout of dogs,..mostly owned by lads that worked their animals. The Judging had to be 'fair and square', you had to be 100% straight and honest,.. or a reception committee would be patiently waiting for you on the other side of the rope...? I've even had an unhappy punter leap the barrier and start throwing fists, over a Red Rosette. Great shows, great6 points

Today was to be our first real day out on our new permission, we met up with the keeper, who took us to the first place he wanted us to concentrate on, open fields and plenty of warrens littered here and there, all pulled out and looking promising, Nell marked the first warren we came across so I left my mate to it while I made my way out into the unknown, it wasn’t long before I had a positive mark, so with 100yard of longnets out I entered 5 ferrets into the sprawling warren it was a good 20 mins before the rabbits started to cooperate, with 6 in the bag and a ferret missing it was out with6 points

Lots of positive advice on here, but the fact remains that if you don't have time for the dog and it's not getting the exercise or attention it needs, the problem will only get worse. It's not fair on the dog or your wife if it's causing tension in the household. It's all very well saying stick with the dog, but if neither of you have enough time or energy to give the dog what it needs, I really think it would be best to find it another home. BUT please don't just give it away to anyone. There's plenty of people who'll say yes, they'll have it, and further on down the line you may find they've5 points

Saw a rabbit on arrival at the permission but that was the last i saw this evening. A grey showed itself carrying a conker, stopped in the lane and stared my way trying to find me. The 77 took him at dead on 40 yds lased with a perfect head shot. So i left him where he dropped as magpies were hanging around. The little ploy worked lads. Another head shot at 40 yds. I continued the wait but all went very quiet so i sent Kaiser in for his beloved retrieves. So lad4 points

Was an elderly women who judged last time I was at Frampton .I got reserve with a bitch i had then called fern ,a cracking bitch with a bully head (fancy that lol). She said the bitch was a good representative of a pure pat lol but was pity about her torn ear .Think Topper was there that year.? Mate of mine asked her if she'd done much digging lol and she she looked dumbstruck . Working dogs need a working judge ,end of . Shows these days hold no allure whatsoever.4 points

I can't take anyone serious when I see them with a wooden handle spoon, it's all well and good scooping loose up with it but you won't be breaking up heavy ground with one. I don't want to dig to a terrier like I'm on time team, I won't to get there as quickly as possible.4 points

exactly, pete. thats why we need a different government and leader up here working for all the people of northern ireland not the green n orange, but one with right wing values whos not gona ban this ban that. but one whos going to be ruthlessly chasing investment and creating good jobs to get the lazy bastar ds up n working again too. if they work for their wages they will respect what they have and be less likely to wreck it in protest at stupid stuff fs3 points

Same with her brother. He just seems to keep going! Hoping to get him out on lots of different ground and terrain this season. Would like to get him out with a decent bushing pack and see how he does. At the moment he’s the only busher in our group. Trying to persuade Newkid to get another!! ?3 points

Pretty much in an nutshell and get plenty of support by been cloaked by the reason that it's all just a battle for freedom and a united ireland. The British government were helping out the loyalists and the Irish government were helping the provos. All hush hush. The teenage joyriders and small time dealers got kneecapped to show that the IRA were supporting the community but anyone who could afford to pay protection money to the cause were overlooked. When the British army arrived first on the streets they were welcomed by the Irish but things quickly escalated and like all situations some wer3 points

I used to enjoy showing my dogs , it’s a bit of fun . Not to be taken too seriously . Haven’t bothered taking mine for a few years now . If it’s a working terrier or Lurcher show , a few marks should not count against it . Nor should they be taken as a sign that it’s a worker . Any dog can go to ground once , get mauled and never want to work again . A dog should be judged purely on how it looks , nothing more . Like I said they are a bit of fun , or should be .2 points

People watch it because it's like a soap opera . My Mrs watches it and stuff like that , she knows what's what but she still enjoys it . She can't understand why id want to watch "premiership years 1999/2000" and stuff like that I've seen a hundred times before either . Tbh I like they stuff like that's on TV . Means when I watch what I want to watch she's got fuckall to say about it . Also theirs nothing better than coming in from the ferret shed at 9pm on a Saturday night to be greeted by X factor . I can make my coffee and plonk myself by the side of her on the sofa and spend the next2 points

First burrow i ferreted the ferret killed a rabbit dug it out and its the one with the blaze LOL , lobbed it over the hedge and picked it up on the way home she was none the wiser2 points

An understanding misses definitely helps in this game, family always comes first but I’d be a right miserable Cnut to live with if I hadn’t got my workers and couldn’t get out for a hunt.2 points

Seen a few of those Mac, grim, but i suppose if you know the punishment, your choice to do the crime! Those South American country's are extreme poverty, so guess a bit of thieving to feed your family is a bit more tempting!. Just watched one about Caracas, be interesting to drop a couple of north London hood rats in a favelas and see how they cope "im a wanna be gangsta get me out of here!" could be a good watch!2 points
