I think most people who get first crosses just like this cross and are ready to accept whatever they CAN do workwise. Once you do have one you can always see it as a starting point and out cross to whatever suits you - smaller/gutsier/more intelligent etc.

Don't have just one. You can bond two or more, and they become firm friends - excellent company for each other. They chatter among themselves and have a little squabble at times, but they are in no way what you'd call noisy. The smell can be a problem (particularly with hobs), but get them neutered and it greatly reduces. Finally, they live outdoor quite happily, all year round, just keep them out of the sun. Whether you want a pet or a worker (which still has to be hand-friemdly !), they're smashing little things to own. Good luck, mate.

Its a mystery, why the miscellany of rough and broken coated lurchers, (many of Deerhound origins),...have disappeared off the scene.? Yes, she turns her nose up at the first sniff of a fox, and that is the way I like it. I am a big fan of bull x btw.
