  1. the hare while quick off the mark, has fantastic stamina and can not be classed as a sprinter, and a coursing lurcher must poses this to stand any chance of being a consistent hare catcher, the saluki is the only dog that can add the x factor, we in this country have taken a dog that was developed thousands of years ago and added it to our dogs to create (in my eyes at least) a superior animal bred for a specific purpose, I don't know when the first saluki crosses appeared, or indeed if it was done with any knowledge of what would happen, this dog was the father of my first saluki cross almost

  2. What answer did I give you Who the f**k are ya , ?? When my wife died in 2004 I gave up proper hunting I just f****d about with rabbits , I had a saluki type at the time of her death I couldn’t get right , I gave it away , I had 2 kids under the age of 8 and a lot of time on my hands , so I made a vow to find out why I couldn’t manage the saluki cross so for years I studied dogs on my own their movements , there body language and why they do things to the point where I work with problem dogs of all types , dogs are a simple animal when you know what their end game is my last

  7. In case anyone thinks I'm picking on Ms.Streep........... Kate Winslet, Eva Green, Natalie Portman, Whoopi Goldberg, Penelope Cruz, Tilda Swindon and Emma Thompson ( among others too many to list !) are guilty of the same glaring hypocrisy and appalling double standards. All claim to be champions of feminism, all do their grandstanding at awards ceremonies, their little 'right on' piece where they speak vociferously about sexual assault and harassment - but all have either made films with Polanski, spoken in support of him or signed petitions for him to be pardoned. 8. I had a email out the blue the other day asking if I would be prepared to help out with the deer management on the estate 5 mins from my house. I thought it was a wind-up at first as it seemed too good to be true. Anyway, I replied to the person who turned out to be the head forrester and from there the farm manager. They're obviously taking things seriously over there and the deer are hammering the new hedges and natural re-gen they’re trying to encourage. The Forrester was pulling his hair out but I was finding it hard not to grin as we drove round... seeing 4 roe in the process.

  10. Ahhh fair enough Jimmy. Yes the FX Streamline is now resident in North Lincs after a flying visit up to Scarborough to see our Si which was nice to get together again mate. From Si, we went over to Pickering to visit a shop my wife likes and also to the RFD who has an offer on Hawke Endurance scopes with approx £100 off the price, well it would rude not to, don't you think so a 5 - 15 x 50 is ready to go on one of the guns but not sure yet as I may well do a shuffle round with the scopes after today's purchase. I must say the sound mod that Si has made is so effective and weigh

Crufts all its staff and all members of the kennel club should be lined up against a wall and shot even the mention of it or showing a mild interest should be a flogging offence especially on a countryside/hunting website, these people are the cruelest mercanary money grabbing c**ts in the dog world and should be the target of the RSPCA instead of people who actually like and care for dogs as a countryside companion and not as a puppy/money making machine, it should not be watched, mentioned or supported in anyway, oh and did I mention I don't like crufts

  17. JMHO but mental stimulation is as important to a terrier bred for work as some exercise is. Some terriers don't thrive on a walk around the block. For some a half hours running around a field would be more beneficial than a 2 hour road walk. It's well for those lads who have some ratting to do. They must have very happy terriers indeed. But exercising of a lead must be done in an area you know better than your own back garden and as terriers get older the less exercise means to them. They just want work, work and work. Nothing else compensates for it and the off season can make your best worke

  18. Piss poor display. Not the dogs fault, they look young and I guess that' not their usual quarry, but the idiot on the end of the slip. He had less bottle than the dogs, why not break them off and let it run or stuck it if you want to. Just looked like a recipe for bitten pups and a shit way to die for the honey badger to me.

  20. I know in the last 20 years I've starting using Avalache locators instead of the grey deben boxes, the sharptooth fork is a very handy tool. I'm also using anti inflammatories and pain killers like Rimadyl now, where as 20 years ago I didn't. Reading your post you give the impression you haven't progressed in 20 years. I don't believe you

  37. To commemorate the occasion, Film4 are showing "Suffragette" tonight - remembering past women's fight for equality and the right to be treated with respect. It stars Meryl Streep, who holds these issues very close to her heart, and regularly makes a stand against sexual assault and harassment.............. ............except when she makes films with Roman Polanski, the self-confessed and convicted child rapist.
