Day on the tools today, really enjoyed it.. Measured the next phase of roofing (asbestos strip underway)cut out a load of cast iron gutter, (nice bit of scrap money for a works drink) then replacing steel purlins ready for roofing .. this is a big old job, about 18 months work, only 4 Miles from my door so one I'm quote enjoying managing and jumping in every so often ...6 points

In fairness, none of this takes a study or a scientific investigation……in fact it’s been the the working classes, your meat porter, street sweeper, miner, welder, market trader, council worker who have been saying for 60 or 70 years that we will be undermined by importing the 3rd world. It was “educated” people who made the policy and encouraged it so it’s a bit rich for educated people now to tell us what we have been telling them for years. The emperor don’t have any f***ing clothes on !…..yeah, we know !4 points

I used to think a working dog would be happier under ground than being a pet but we've had lurchers and pig dogs that were more than happy sharing the lounge with us when they retired. Doesn't take long to lap it up although I'm sure they'd try and work until they dropped.4 points

Sadly today flying brian the legend has died .he was an outstanding little all round dog .he had grafted in all parts of the country and excelled at the foxing game .bolting well over 100 foxes ,he would graft all day long and not bat an eyelid .then come home and chill like a family pet .I couldn't count hoe many foxes we accounted for with this little dog ., he was a very big part of my life .I retired him abs gifted him to chris in wales to mooch about with ,which he did and he also had some great do,s with him ,R.I.P FLYING BRIAN .till I see ya again .3 points

I have learned with age nothing in life is perfect, her nose is bang on been marking since just over 6 months old, catching well rabbits, squirrels, not afraid of cover will enter brambles, nettles etc. only 19tts and lightly built but this adds to her sharpness. takes a lot of knocks cuts, few stitches and Jaws like a gin trap, very hard mouthed. and a baxxrd for deer.3 points

I’m just surprised anyone is surprised by the results. It didn’t need a poll or investigation to see this, it’s on the news every day, Blair started this with his “multiculturalism “ and now the politicians are too scared of being call “racist” or “islamiphobic” to do anything about it. Cheers.3 points

The bitch is going to a lad that has a large house on an estate. The bitch will have a fantastic life. The reason she hasn't been pts, is because she would be a good dog for many and she is a nice dog to have around. I am with my dogs all day and they are as good as you can get them. As I said before, you don't know me Bangers.3 points

Thanks , it’s not easy tbh , it’s done with a French rubber ( NOOOOO , NOT THAT TYPE ) … a lint free rag with wadding in the middle loaded with shellac , being shellac it’s spirit based and dries in seconds . I’d practise on some old pieces of wood first mate2 points

Think he's being sarcastic. Really not every trap....if you catch it in one trap and you have 2 other traps set in the area of that one mole.... obviously it's then not possible to catch it in the others. What I meant was if I set a trap in a group of mole hills or workings and it's in a good run I'd expect to catch it.....or it may bung the trap now and again. If your lad set 7 traps and there was only one mole then he can only catch one mole obviously. If I have an empty untouched trap then it's because there's not been one there. Fck I've made this sound more complicated than it2 points

I agree mate theres a much better way to carry and run out a long net, as for the whippet I couldn't ask for better mate. She loves the squirrel2 points

He needs someone to give him a quick lesson. In 48 hours or less I'd expect every trap to have either caught or at least be sprung and blocked.2 points

I always seem to buy things on impulse so my advice on getting one of these or any other thermal imaging device is do your home work first and watch the myriad of YouTube videos and such like and take into account the comments on particular models you have in mind of buying.2 points

Don't worry about scent at all. I always set traps from new. I wear gloves but only to keep my hands clean2 points

it's always nice to see your first swallows arrive in the beginning of the year, it's one of my mums most favourite birds, she would get so much joy and pleasure seeing them arrive, as they fly back on the same old nests in the open ended stables from the year before, she would watch them from turning up right through to the chicks leaving the nest all lined up on the washing line...when i see my first swallow of the year, i always say to myself "hello mum" as it brings back some lovely memories for me, love you miss you mum....2 points

I’m too long in the tooth for any more bird mate , nor do I want padding up with the youth of today mad far as anyone’s concerned I’m a respectable business man and I need a conviction like a hole in the head for the sake of a few rabbits or a hare2 points

The coursing game and hunting with dogs the laws surrounding it have changed beyond imagination that some of us older generation could ever imagine in such a short space in time and not only is it the law that puts you on trial also the cranks on social media. I know for certain anyone walking through your typical council estate with your catch on show it wouldn't be some one trying to buy or cadge a bit of game off you for the pot it would be some sad fecker taking a pic to plaster all over social media asking to know who in their terms is this cruel b*****d.1 point

Coursing never had a leg to stand on once Gallelio got set up Gallelio is a brand of policing that is slowly being franchised over the uk , north York’s , east anglia are all buying into it now . the reality was that once that money from LACS money went into the labour bank , that was it , the ban was o babe books and was tightened up recently . a lot of mud is chucked at the lads who conduct stubble rallies , one of the true facts was that once coursing was outlawed , only the outlaws can go coursing . that type of behaviour was not the norm when it was legal , loo1 point

It is not illegal for your dog to accidentally get up on a hare or deer, just take your dog for a walk and if it brings down a deer by accident put it out the way take the dog home then come back later without dogs, think when you drive out with dogs lamps etc in the same motor then chuck your catch in the boot you are just f***ing yourself up and don’t film it, I know people that drive the lanes at night picking up roadkill nothing the law can do stick a lurched and a lamp in the car and your f****d it’s always the motor that is your weakness the games changed massively so the players need to1 point
