You are right there TOMO? I reckon an interesting series of articles could be penned, on the subject of, 'strange and wonderous places that conies often inhabit'....? Me, and my ancient and retired crew, used to specialise in shifting rabbits (and foxes) that had taken up residence in the most unexpected locations,....the list is endless, and as you say, such jobs or sporting forays, really do make the hunting business, much more interesting...?

So after running trail cams on some small cages with wire triggers I made and conibears , I saw a lot of smaller animals like barn rats actually gave a lot of refusals that or the where able to get though without triggering the trap alot , various reasons . Seemed for every one I caught a few more smaller ones would just walk under the triggers or the bigger ones just didn't want to push though. I'll tell you a teil camera will really show you just how little your actually doing lol. Thought I was hammering them . Nope. Mum was sadly dead. Her tummy was moving so I tried to make a crappy situation a bit better and C sectioned her and got the fawn out alive. It’s still going at about 30 hours. It’s had a few feeds of lamb colostrum and now on milk replacer. Fingers crossed it keeps going and makes it through. Lovely little thing. Funnily enough I rang a wildlife / animal charity and they said I should have left it to die.
