  2. Out again last night after the hen killers. Really awkward as all the fields are long and there is only 1 field to shoot in which was rough plough. Spotted a fox straight away but getting close enough was really difficult having to plod across the plough , eventually got within range but really struggled to get a good sight picture as light night using red led against plough is not ideal but I eventually got the shot ? I spent the next couple of hours seeing the vixen and another 2 Cubs but unable to get a shot ? Didnt get to bed until 2.30am ?

  5. ? Yeah, I get what folk are saying with regards to the tractability of Greyhounds,...but,...we have to remember that the majority of these superlative canine athletes , have been conditioned to go with the flow, and to use their basic instincts. A racing Greyhound that waits for the command to get on,.. or sits quietly, having a bit of a ponder as to the best way to catch a particular critter,...does not reign for long...? By the same token, I've schooled Greyhound puppies for the rabbiting game,.. and I firmly believe they would have satisfied, very many, contemporary lurcher enthu

  6. I'll be trying this later I've slowly gone off sweet drinks like spiced rum but, I do like dark rum so, I'm hoping that this will be a natural progression. I've got some Makers Mark on the way to try aswell - I'm not a fan of Whiskey so, I'm hoping that Bourbon will be a bit different. ......... If it's shit, my brother can have them.

  7. After hearing about them and reading a few reviews on here. Kral puncher pro .22 FAC brand new today. So first impressions... Nice but stock a bit amateurish as in very sharp lines... They will soon get smoothed over..shoulders well and weight not to bad.. be on the generation 3s most of the time anyway... plenty of work to be doing with it so shall give an honest opinion in the next few days ?

  9. You don't even have to commit the crime, just take Derek Bentley, when a policeman caught Bentley and Craig doing a burglary, Craig pointed a gun at the policeman, who said "give me the gun". Bentley told Craig "let him have it" , Craig then shot the policeman dead . Craig was found guilty of murder, but as he was 16 at the time, he didn't hang. Bentley , who was 18, was found guilty of "being party to the crime" and hanged. The prosecution said "let him have it" meant "shoot him" but the defence said it meant " give him the gun". It was a very political case, the government cou

  11. True words TOMO..? I've worked ferrets for over 60 years, frequently on a daily basis, and it is a massive misnomer to glibly state that ALL ferrets will work, if given the chance.... As you know,.. this is simply not the case..? And THIS is WHY ,..some of us will go out of our way, to retain the services, of our best workers? Most ferrets can put up a good show, especially on easy warrens and places where the rabbits are willing to shift, but same as with many other keen hunters,.. both animal and human,.. there are variables... It would be foolish to argue or even de

  14. Diet is only a small part of it, psoriasis has a lot of triggers, I was asked to change my diet by the doctor and to cut out red meat, eggs and bread and it made no difference, stopping smoking made a big difference to me, with it been an autoimmune problem everything can affect it from what you eat to cold weather and environmental conditions, my doctor told me they still don’t fully understand it but the basics of it are somethings trigger your immune system to attack healthy cells and your body over produces skin cells ?

  17. I've only taken one to a vet as he had cancer near his eye, he was my best ever worker. They cut it out but it grew back so I shot him. I've never had another sick one I couldn't treat myself and just keep them comfortable if they are dying of old age. I think vets play on people's heartstrings a lot and I could of bought a brand new Landcruiser the money I've spent on dogs over the years at vets, lol.

  20. i would have to disagree with last bit....i have had two hob ferrets that just would not work ..one i kept for about 3 years (god knows why)....it actually escaped....i didnt look for it.... the other was an absolutely fantastic specimen of a big white hob...again he would go in a warren wander round and bolt or kill nothing....it got to the point we were watching muliple rabbits dropping in little warrens...and nothing.....then we started putting him in at the end of a dig....on a rabbits backside after the other ferret had been lifted out... i kept that hob a full season ....cos i

  21. Beef and salt must get boring and awkward but theres definitely benefits to that carnivore diet if your lifestyle allows it. I think body benifits from breaks and changes though myself. When your on that carnivore or keto you can smell the sugar in stuff last time on keto i could smell an open can of coke just shows ya how much shit our body must filter out of stuff but i cant see them diets bieng ideal in the longterm myself

The trap trigger will move about on the bmi but go back with a little wiggle, don't no how you manage get the spring round one corner as when you set the spring you should squeeze the spring so both loops meet in middle when jaws are open , I use corn cob as bait for the squirrel with a bmi and there deadly , they will also catch without bait on runs but I tend to bait mine up with bit of corn

  26. When people state that greyhounds are not bright I often wonder what tasks they have been given to do and are found to be mentally deficient? Of course such fast, powerful and determined hounds are not ideal for many tasks in the field when a slower, but quick enough and less driven, but driven enough dog will catch and be more suitable than a pure greyhound. But that's nothing to do with a dog's IQ. Even said, coursing greyhounds would sometimes learn to anticipate a hares movement or hold back and let their "opponent" do the pressing but make the kill. Not a desired trait in a coursing greyh

  29. Well I’m an old timer and I take my ferrets to the vets if I think it’s worth it. I only keep 100 percent workers and if I think they can be saved by a vet then it’s worth the trip.

Barry and his family are wonderful, the cathra followers absolute arse holes.....some of them anyway. @Gypsydog94I've not done much up there for a couple of years....yet its only an hour north of me. I know a couple of the fell huntsman really well, if you came up I'd make sure you were looked after and made welcome. Come up on your own, spend a night on my couch and we can have 2 good days up there, night in a hunting pub in between ?. (obviously it's better if you can bring friends, I wasn't luring you up to groom you or anything)

  34. Also if you want to stop school shootings there's a dead easy scientifically proven method, stop reporting on them give them no attention and they stop that has been proven, it's the same media frenzy whipping everyone into a storm to ban guns as the ones making them happen. Win win for the news outlets. The USA doesn't have the softest gun laws in the world they have more mass media divided down political lines than anywere else though and that's what causes mass shootings. And finally why is everyone in GB obsessed with USA gun laws? Its their country their rules.

  35. It’s not about cutting out real foods, it’s finding what triggers the condition, it’s know that red meat especially beef is a contributing factor to some kinds of psoriasis, smoking was a big one for me, mine got a lot better almost as soon as I stopped, for some people stress is a trigger, not for me, if I was any more laid back I’d fall over, psoriasis isn’t an infection it’s main thing is the over production of skin cells caused by an autoimmune disorder and they think it’s triggered by your immune system fighting things it doesn’t need to, like healthy cells ?

  43. We are all free to do as we please fellah....? IF you take your valuable lurchers, dirt dogs and ferrets to a Hamster and Budgie Vet,...its often going to be,.. a wasted exercise,...fecking costly as well...? This is why , many of us try to seek out a Greyhound or Running Dog Vet,...and also look for a modern , forward thinking Surgery, that is sympathetic and knowledgeable about Ferrets, and understands the essential work that they do. We have all had our fingers burnt, and it isn't nice...?

  44. Just because their soldiers, don't dismiss the fact they should act in a certain way ,either in war or civilian life, they obviously lack moral fiber,if my son or daughter was involved in that kind of act ,he'd/she'd be a very large dissapointment to his/her family...if you overlook that form of behaviour ,where do you draw the line,....it's all due to your expectations in life I suppose, personally I'd expect better from highly trained ,disciplined people
