Here's a dog I bought in 1984,at a game fair in Notts, from a Paul Taylor, saluki/greyhound X Collie/greyhound...fathom being his grand dam....an amazing dog for me,lamped 4 or more nights on the trot when the moon was down, the Collie was the strongest trait in him with the saluki stamina,he took a lot of rabbits every night, couldn't tire him out13 points

The cloddy ones arnt worth anything, but thats down to poor breeding/selection. Many of these types are infected with Mastiff or Bulldog or some crap. Im talking about the real thing that has everything.12 points

Well made me first Brown Loaf little more work that White but think it looks okay. Just trying to keep Wifey of it before it cools a bit. After being advised to start eating Brown Bread or Granary which I now do I have noticed I no longer get reflux. It had to back in for five more minutes. Cheers Arry9 points

Their was one coalface that was only about 4 foot high though i did not work on it though went down it once and thought feck working on that scruaming up and down through hydraulic chocs. Only time i was truly scared when a large roof fall above the steel arch used to make tunnels in line with the face had appeared and the deputy asked one of us to go above the arch and chock it up with wood chocks to prevent further roof falls i admit to being a coward in refusing to go up as their was large lumps of rock hanging that could have dropped at any minute my first thought was i had two very young8 points

The rspca like to make money through an image of animal welfare and caring where as in reality it’s like any other business and is just interested in profits, I,ve taken several injured animals to the rspca, animals that could have been saved with a little help, but in every case they put them to sleep as soon as you leave the building, the sooner the queen removes the R from rspca the better it gives them a credible face to hide behind ??7 points

Did my duty today and showed my face up at the sheep farm for a go at the pigeons, not many about but they have battered a field of rape, did a few hours in the wind and rain, they wouldn’t decoy in that wind coming across the field low and fast, with a flick of a wing they were gone, but at least I got a couple for fox bait, they have started lambing now so the next week to 10 days as long as the weather is ok they’ll be out in the fields so a few evenings looking out over them might produce a fox or 25 points

A Norfolk Lurcher but was bred in South Wales and now lives on the edge of South Dartmoor. She’s going to be the start of a new line which I will call Dartmoor Lurcher. They will come in Dartmoor camouflage colouring only and free thermal imager will be included in the price.5 points

Yeah, I lived on a property up the coast and the old neighbor had a dozen or so of these big lanky kelpies he'd bred for 50 years. He owned a couple of thousand acres of rainforest mountains that the cattle roamed over. He used to take at least six when mustering. He was a nice bloke and I remember one dog was 19 years old and still did a bit. He was a bit soft hearted with his dogs but they were good workers for him and he treated them like kings, a good dog man.5 points

Just been looking at an old wage slip of mine dated 28 9 85 for 5 night shifts due to it being bad ground the bonus was usually a percentage of the pit average top line £203.63 after stoppages £127 witch was not much really though lad's at the same pit were on double that with overtime and good going in drivage teams. A mate who worked at the same pit in it's last year in 2013 he earned 70 grand .4 points

My grandad (god rest him) worked at Hapton pit, theys a photo of him signing a petition in a book of Burnley I’ve got. 16 men lost their lives in the explosion, I think he later went on to a higher position at a pit over Doncaster way . Tough old days men cut from a different cloth4 points

Rabbits are like hens teeth but a few slips does me, don't want his leg injury flaring up. Went to a spot for a walk more than anything, had the terrier with me running of the lead too doing a bit of night bushing and spotted this lad squatting out in long grass.4 points

A Bull cross imo should be at least Half Bull in its breeding. Anything less and its just a lurcher with some Bull.4 points

Do you run any traps mate? I've noticed pairs or crows sat in trees, or calling to say this is there patch. I'll dust my larsens off in couple weeks. I find spring time my favourite for shooting. I know most folk like autumn but I just love killing corvids & foxes when I know birds are nesting.4 points

I know it's says it's a FREEDOM PROTEST but the typical idiots will descend on the city's as they always do and tribal mentality will take over (not saying the organisers of the protest just the idiots who will go to just cause trouble) why do you have to take your arguments back to the Orange order? When do the Orangemen riot and cause violence? I'd say 99% of parades on the 12th July go a head without any drama it's only certain areas what will see idiots causing trouble and most of the time it's not the prods who cause it !3 points

An old mate gave me his 440A Match about 12 or so years ago. He bought it new in the 70's and hardly used it. I use it mostly for waggler fishing for roach and bream. This was taken on a day out on a tidal canal. Brilliant reels.3 points

Well you're admitting guilt when when to get into police pursuit, and if you go out with two vehicles driving land and 9 dogs, Jesus Christ, your asking for it or wanting to get locked up or daft.3 points

The tag of being a known poacher back in the day is now becoming an embarrassment to some of the older generation due to the actions of some of the modern day outlaws who no longer are looked on has lovable rouges. Lol ?3 points

I think anyone in their right mind would have had a feeling of sadness for the poor little lad . Being trapped under ground is the stuff of night mares it's one of the reasons I can't get my head around why folk want to go into cave's and other underground sites.3 points

I think a lot of the older lads where spoilt when it coming to running dogs in there day. The lurcher and men who keep them have always been viewed with suspicion and heavily fined/ prosecuted. The ban is just bringing back the old ways of anyone who keeps a mongrel running dog is up to no good. And to be honest, I'm glad its like that, just like the good old days.3 points

We’ve stopped shooting but we don’t stop feeding, still a good few about, so to all the people that think we just want to shoot them and once the season is over we stop everything ?? there’s a few deer knocking about now, the roe are the first to show, just as the light was fading there was 3 doe’s along the ride at Gordon’s pen, it’s nice been up there on my own again, it’s gone from been Saturday madness and running around like a nutter 3 days a week back to been peaceful and all mine again ?3 points
