  1. ? We are all individuals,...no set rules for everyman...? Last night could have been 'Red Panty Night',.. but after 47 years of marriage,. I chose to celebrate our anniversary at the Mowchat Tandoori, with a beautiful Chicken Jalfrezi .. I have no regrets, spending my life with one woman,...I had plenty of action in my youth, so I have no complaints? Facts are, its great when you change from constant fecking to priceless friendship,....I would be lost without my Wife.... Stay safe now Brothers,. all the best, OldPhil.?

  3. "Playing away" causes havoc to families. I've seen the fallout many times. Sounds pompous, and holier than thou I know, but I've been married 50 years next summer and never been tempted to stray. When we worked away, I heard my mates referring to me as "Snow White".?. It never bothered me, one woman works for me, but I know it's not for everyone. You've got to walk in another man or woman's shoes before you judge them. Relationships are much harder to maintain these days, modern life is not great for family life, especially when two partners are working all hours just to pay bills.

  4. Nice quick session this morning before the rain came. Met Geth (White Van Man) at 8am, put a few long purse nets in our pockets to stop the top of the hedges and the rest was up to thd dogs...took his cracking young bitch Dotty and my old hound Fergie... It all went well, bolted a few, caught a few mainly thanks to the dogs and missed a couple....sat in the sun and had a yap whilst drinking Coffee supplied by my "in the field carer", Geth...lol... even packed us up some ham and cheese wraps and short cake biscuits... thanks mate.. We were done by 10-30... both had a list of jobs

  7. Basically the fuel company’s put out an article with the help of MSM saying there was a fuel shortage and as they predicted the sheep reacted and all rushed out and bought up all the old fuel that they were unable to sell during lockdown also cleaned out all the e5 fuel that people with older motors needed allowing the fuel suppliers to put up the price overnight and recoup any losses made during lockdown, simple manipulation of the masses to balance the books of big business, sound familiar ?????

Up feeding this morning due to the person who was meant to do it messaged me late yesterday to say he couldn’t go, no explanation, just, I can’t go, now I don’t like to go on a Sunday because it’s my day for food shopping and I like to take it easy, doing a bit of dinner and drinking tea, but it is what it is and to be expected, they all want to be involved until it gets in the way of something else they want to do. I arrived at approximately 8:30 and was greeted by a large number of birds on the tracks enjoying the first rays of morning sunshine, they are coming along well and are taking the

The thing is, if I’m left to it I like doing it and not wanting to blow my own trumpet but it’s 100% better than when I joined it about 12 years ago, before, when they did it as a syndicate they would put about the same number of birds down as we do now and would shoot about 40 on a good day but there were some really good shot there and they were killing almost everything that came out a drive, now it’s a proper mixed bag of shooting abilities and on a couple of the drives I can put 150 birds over the guns at a proper height, we aim for between 50 and 60 a day and much of this comes down to t

And Christ we had a good laugh, I’d forgotten what it’s like to socialise. We didn’t let the fact that it was raining dampen our spirits ( we’re not made of sugar after all). My good friend who used to be the keeper here moved to Northumberland and is doing well up there having already had 15 days . So it was good to see that the new keeper, who is a young chap seems to have made a good job of things and the

  23. What do you want it to do? How often? What mix will it be used for retrieving (I assume shot game?) vs following up shot deer? To be honest I’d do yourself a favour and just get a decent bred Labrador. For a first gundog you can’t go wrong, they can turn their hand to most jobs easily enough. Those pointer breeds can be a nightmare and a spaniel isn’t the most suited dog for sitting calmly and then trailing up a shot deer, although many can do it. A Labrador will just make things a lot easier.

  24. Bert is gay and you made him that way ? Cute as fuuck but bent like a Welsh tenner, the mrs loves bert lol.. If I wrapped this tit in a towel, he'd roll around and f****n hit the roof on the bounce ? One of the funniest things I've ever seen was this twit of mine freaking out when I gave him a rub down, as a pup mind. Ran off with the towel round his head, straight into a tree outside the house, screamed (saluki) (whilst shaking the bloody towel off) somehow managed to get said towel wrapped around/on his head and on a tree... if you've never seen a white wanker saluki coursing cnut

Anyway the wind was perfect and a good flight line was on. I had some good shooting for a couple of hours. No need to go over the cartridge count to birds ratio, that's just boring. The bloody dog ran in, grabbed the bird went running around, me after it but before I could grab her and leather her the pigeons wing obscured her vision and she ran at full speed into a round bale! I've had quite a few dogs sustain injuries, and its always heart in the mouth time,. when you finally get back out in the field.. Looks as though your pal has had a victory..? But, maybe encourage her to take the easy way out, and go to the right of that metal gate.... All the best for the future, stay safe,. regards, OldPhil.?

Slugs have made a big difference in FAC air that’s for sure I have .25 impact running at 72 ftlbs with H&N , JSB and ZAN slugs all round 32-33.5 gr . I still have room for impact to run at 80ftlbs .FX crown running 42 ftlbs with 21 gr H&N or ZAN slug . These guns are so accurate past 100+ yards . I have taken rabbits at 120 yards with no problem This is a group using JSB slugs at 140 yards in 17 mph wind right to l
