Mr Wilf I have nothing in common with people from those big cities.Every Sunday 20 plus members of my family gather for Sunday dinner. Most businesses are still closed on Sunday.Every man and most women have a gun in their pocket and a distrust of big brother. We open doors for ladies. We say yes mam or someone will correct you.If you use the f word in public around our women you will be asked to leave. We still pray at football games and rodeos. The rebel flag still flies here and there is a statue of a Confederate soldier at our local courthouse.I don't want to lose my way of life.I don't9 points

Tough going today, first dig of the season for me to a second season bitch. Done very well in a big spot. Tried a couple nothing at home, decided we would try one more before we headed home. Dropped her and she was on quickly. Got a mark in the middle of 10 foot high briars under neath a fallen ivy tree. Took a good while to get in and get the place cleared. It was only about a metre so we Started to dig in the lashing rain and hit layers of shingle rock. Could only chip a layer out with the graft and scoop out the loose stuff. Broke through about 2 hrs later . Back to my mates house for dinne6 points

She’ll be 18 months next week, few ferreting trips last season but she will be out a lot more going forward, must admit I was a very uncertain how she would be after her leg break but she shows no signs of hindrance, great nose, great recall can find anything if she gets scent… she’s 100 miles an hour though which is my only concern.5 points

Havent gone over the whole thread as some of the hypocrisy being spoke just turned me right off but watching the way some of them ol bill were acting is the very reason they command absolutely no respect from people anymore....lets have it right if those idiotic pricks sitting on the M25 in their hi vis vests were wearing football shirts or a Stone Island jumper instead, plod would have been wading in with their batons.....them people would have been picking themselves out of the grass verge instead of being asked if they need anything !....anyone who thinks its not all part of something bigge5 points

I have never paid a place to check my DNA. The hills of Dixie through the Smoky Mountains were generally settled by Scotch Irish folk. When you study my history before the Civil War it gets blurry. What I can tell you is most of Dixie tradition come from Scotland. We refer to the rebel flag as the St. Andrews cross. Here is my state flag of Alabama. My family has a high percentage of red-haired and blue eyes. From what historians tell me,A bunch red haired hillbillies left yalls Mountains and settled here in ours.People in this area including myself have small amounts of cherokee in4 points

My mates had stuff yrs ago..out of a litter of 9,only 2 made old bones...and that was because they went to folks at the stables for some ratting.. used to cringe breaking through to the dogs?they be in some f***ing shapes?never learnt any manners... the bitches would settle down after a few seasons? I had a first X border/lakie bitch...killed a 4 yr old black bitch at 11 months old, last time I ever kennelled 2 dogs/bitches together..I sent her down to a keeper near Dartmoor ,she would kill any fox she went too,she went blind at 6/7 and still lived for it...she was harder than most dogs?4 points

Cracker that mate I had an hour at the sheep farm tonight, seen 2 on the farm but nether was having any of it, disappearing onto next doors land, at one point a cat almost got it, it was only when I got it to come into the field that I noticed the tail and the little round head, it just goes to show, never take the shot unless you are 100%, when I left the farm I drive past a reservoir that the farmer has ewes in, looking into the field I seen the unmistakable head of a fox through the thermal, pulled over, loaded the rifle, rested between the door and the windscreen, the fox didn’t move4 points

Well today after an early dart from work I had a drive through to Hull to see my good pal mCHULL so we can talk dogs. It was great hearing about the history of his dogs and to see how passionate he is about coursing. Looking forward to seeing your team in action, happy hunting. I'm no submarine expert but after watching three episodes of 'vigil' I think that British subs are shite. So far one guy burnt his hand on a steam pipe, one guys been poisoned and they narrowly missed a nuclear meltdown! A very poor showing by the royal navy and putting it on TV is just showing the rest of the world how piss poor we really are. Having said that I thought that suranne jones and that ginger bird lezzing it up in a roll top bath was a nice touch.3 points

A low heart rate doesnt necessarily mean a healthy heart or good level of fitness someone could be on beta blockers or anything, someone mentioned Bradycardia but with a resting heart rate under i think its 60 it isnt even considered a health problem.....in my opinion everybody should know at least month to month roughly what their resting heart rate is.....mines been down as low as low to mid 40's a few years back but is around 51/52 in the morning these days.3 points

I had a big one eyed albino buck escape and the neighbor found him in her chicken pen, she ended up with 6 stitches. I owned up, she was known as a mean bitch but was ok about the encounter. She had clubbed the ferret to death which I was happy about as it had attacked the whippets several times when hunting, lol.3 points

The bigger more glitzy gun shops tend to be staffed by salesmen that (A) haven't much idea (B) don't give you the best advice on any prospective purchase just what they need to shift to meet targets. I would visit my local gunshop and ask their advice, also seek out local shooters who in the main will be glad to help.3 points

Nothing to do with being less of a digging man . I used to be out a lot over a lot of ground and had 2 steady workers and 2 mute mid tube jobs. My mate had a few dogs so we alternated . If I only had rough dogs I would have needed a lot of dogs to get round the digging I did. A rough dog will obviously get way less graft than a steadier dog who can be dug a few times a day . But u have to work with what u have. If someone wants to keep 20 terriers good luck to em. Each individual dog won t get the digs under his belt unless the owner has a shit load of digging and no work or nagging mrs lol.3 points

I wish it would cool down , just been out for a few hours and I was knackered with the heat again, I think it was 20c when I went out and still 17c when I packed up at dusk. Anyway I spotted an old buck on the edge of an old game cover around 180 yds away. I watched him for a while and he gradually moved a bit closer and stood broadside, I was already on the quads but had a bit of buck fever as havent shot a deer for about 3 months . I steadied myself and took the shot dropping him on the spot. What seemed like a good shot however wasnt as I was aiming behind the shoulder but hit him in the b2 points
