Number 9 done.... and it was another great weekend, as usual everyone got stuck in and made the weekend what it is... yeah its a group of lads sat around a fire, yapping shit and eating bbq food in the main, plus a little bit of fishing for those that want to, but it takes a lot to keep making it happen and all the lads and lasses ensure it gets done... This year was obviously a bit different to normal, there's no doubt John was missed a lot, the posts on here are testament to him and how much he was liked.... we toasted him on Sunday night before his auction started, only a few words and11 points

Bit dangerous that. By agreeing a dog is a sentient being it opens the gate to say all animals are, that in turn gives credibility to any form of ban on hunting , meat eating even swating a fly. Whilst I despise dog thieves, I won't be signing a petition that puts the emotional feelings of an animal on par with are own. Just my two pence worth. And quiet intellectual for me! I'm now going to have a few beers and kill some brain cells before I find the cure for world hunger.7 points

My new toy arrived this morning and it would be rude not to give it a run out this evening I’d like to say a massive thank you to Tom at nightmaster, I gave him a ring yesterday afternoon, told him what I wanted and with a few quid off ( he’s knows what I’m like ) he sent it straight out, arrived before 10 this morning, this lad gives a service that’s second to none and the after sales is just as good, if any of you are looking for, thermal, NV, torches etc, give them a look, they go out of their way to help you out ?3 points

I popped into the rfd today to look for an AO scope for my son in law and whilst routing round in the back room, I found a little scope just sitting there all on it's own looking sad and forgotten. On closer viewing, it turned out to be a Richter Optik, 4x32 AO, IR complete with flip up covers................................ now I was not wanting a little scope but I thought, there are times in the past when I wanted a small scope for a particular gun or person so if this little fella was cheap enough, it would be handy to have in my spares drawer. The shop had bought a few of these, only a2 points

That's fair point, with jails are full, and they don't seem to be building any new ones, with every fooker breeding dogs today for over the top prices, scum will always be looking to make a easy kill, and pinch dogs. Guard dogs are waste of time really, you need the dog inside, or left outside they either kill them, or pinch them as well, your better off if with jack Russell barking the place down, when the scum there, or megger light and poss camera. Then. Then go out site with baseball bat and break there legs, they think twice next time deff ?2 points

Put a whisky bottle at 30 ft or so away and then take in turns to throw pound coins at it, the closest to the bottle wins it... It gets a bit competitive and chucking more money at it than the bottle is worth is standard!2 points

That ship has sailed mate ,there is an act going through parliament now that will recognise some animals as sentient beings legally ....semantics not withstanding I would approve of a more draconian approach to dog theft .2 points

mC, I've noticed a few times you've eluded to what currencies oil is traded in. Can I ask why ? Now, I'm assuming you're not a Forex expert or commodities trader, and neither am I. I do understand, however, that the US is the biggest producer and exporter of oil, though it makes little difference to its GDP, and fluctuations in oil production has little effect on the worth of the US dollar, whereas the countries mainly dependent on oil sales can see their currencies fluctuate greatly in the rise and fall of oil production, so it makes sense for the likes of Saudi Arabia and Russia an2 points
